Surprising number of targets off that search. Shame second effect isn’t a quickie
jump promos stopped being t0 broken a while back due to people scalping/buying out the jump editions when cards came out.
Interesting card. Don’t think it’ll play too well with Swordsouls itself due that Level 4 requirement and the Ecclesia-centric effects (and no Tenyi synergy) but anything that likes 4s and Lights (Melodious, Vaalmonica) might, if only for the negate.
When was the last time there was a Synchro that needed a specifically Leveled tuner? I know the Genex Controller and Plaguespreader Synchros technically count since they name their required Tuners, but theoretically you could use something like Star Changer to move their Level. This card needs a Tuner of a specifically mentioned Level.
The last one I remember was Despian Luluwalilith

Honestly interesting for branded. Ik they already got their synchro but since it has to banish itself you kind of lose it as fusion material. Now you can go white albaz -> ecclesia -> this to search cartesia -> special cartesia and go granguignol.

It’s no surprise that those two guys were omitted from the Animated Shorts since they’ve been irrelevant/forgettable throughout the entire Albaz Lore (even from the very beginning)

Theo and Adin are like those friends of your best friend you aren’t actually friends with yourself. We don’t see them bc they’re buddies with Fleur but we’re following Ecclesia.
It can search Silent Magician for what that’s worth.
Funny thing is if it wasn’t for the level restriction this card would be a good searcher for WindWitchs.
So Branded will be doing the new Ecclesia going first and going second this thing 😀

Pretty sure the new Albaz is full combo alone with this. Basically go into Ecclesiq synchro if you get fuwad or this if you don’t.
I wish that these three would actually get their own (sub)archetype separate from Swordsoul, but I guess it’s kind of a thing – they don’t work with all the Wyrm-specific support and instead focus on Spellcasters and heavy control elements.

Rofl, this actually combos with The Iris Swordsoul. x) Search Iris, negate an opponent’s monster’s effect fulfilling Iris’ summoning conditions, special Iris.
Does that mean it’s the optimal thing to do? No. But you CAN do it.
Yet another must-have for magistus locked behind a promo smh.
(Obv being able to search spoon isn’t even tertiary to the design here but it is funny and sad nearly every card conducive to making barely rogue deck magistus better is scalper bait)
Note that the best they could do with that search effect is “4 or higher” because if you can do any lower than that you can search Exodia. They don’t want you doing that due to PTSD from the previous millennium.
