Confiscation gonna go crazy at 3
Ok, I didn’t expect these revelations, but here we are:
– Cyber Tutu would be the first presence of “Cyber Girl” in Rush Duels. The Monster is no big deal, so it makes sense that he comes. Although, it would be fun to think that Rush Duels makes a unique Deck for “Cyber Girl” in the future.
– It’s fun to think that Red Archery Girl is the first support for Aqua we’ve gotten in a long time in Rush Duels. This type of Monster seems somewhat forgotten despite having been popular before.
– Destroyer Golem and The Snake Hair are fun for their context. The first is the first Rock support in a long long time in Rush Duels and the first Normal Monster with 1500 ATK for Rock. The Snake Hair, on the other hand, is there since Zombie in Rush Duels is not as popular and does not receive constant support either.
– Confiscation not being a Legend Card is surprising, but it’s not a big deal either (being a Legend Card, it wouldn’t be used much). The thing is that Confiscation gives the opposing Duelist more advantage since what you are looking for in Rush Duels is to run out of hand so you can draw more cards on the next turn. If it becomes a problem, limiting it to 1 is an option as with Magical Stone Excavation (although the current Rush Duels format has more problematic cards than Confiscation)
Cyber Tutu is beautiful. Definitely in my top 10 Yugioh Waifus
I hope we get an alt art closer to the og anime art someday.
Confiscation not being a Legend at the start is interesting. Hand (Deck) knowledge, sending one of their combo pieces to the GY, and LP manipulation (for certain Decks like Psychic) are all huge benefits. Even if hands aren’t as big of a deal as they would be in Master Duel as many players just set their cards as backrow, the hand knowledge and rip can potentially break the game. Still a great going first card either way. Would not be shocked if this hits the list within the next year.
Time Wizard and Cyber Tutu were completely changed for Rush Duel. Time Wizard’s coin toss is now decided by heads or tails, not on whether you call the coin correctly. You also take the combined total original ATK of each of your monsters destroyed, not half the total ATK that they had on the field. Tutu’s effect is not continuous, and her ATK is irrelevant for her effect – only that your opponent has a face up monster with more than 1000 ATK and you have a card to mill. Tutu no longer needs to be the weakest face up monster on the field to attack directly.
Destroyer Golem also gets a special mention for being the fourth Rock monster in the game, and the first to be released in over a year.
We got another GX card in Rush Duel after Cyber Dragon.
I’m a little bit surprised to see Confiscation isn’t a Legend Card in Rush Duel. The card draw and advantage in Rush Duel is a lot more loose and don’t matter if your opponent forced to discard a card from their hand since most likely it will refresh their hand drawing X number of cards up to 5 next turn.
Only time will tell if this card will be abused by decks (present and the future) if this card becomes a problem later down the line, as what happened with Magical Stone Excavation.
Huh, they changed the effects of Time Wizard and Cyber Tutu. Originally, you had to call the coin toss for Time Wizard, and getting it wrong was what destroyed your field and damaged you. Cyber Tutu’s original effect is also a Continuous effect, and thus did not have a cost.
I’m genuinely surprised that Confiscation isn’t a Legend Card. Is it because of the whole “use as much of your hand as possible” strategy that is so typical of Rush Duels?
Right on the money, in Rush Duels it doesn’t matter if you lose or rip a card from your or your opponents hand, you’re just pretty much helping either you or your opponents to emptying your or their hand to turbo out to draw new cards (draw until you have 5 cards) from your deck. Sure, Confiscation would be good if you force your opponent to rip a boss monster or an effective spell/trap card from your hand but it may matter more later on the game.
