Japan usually gets their cards first. Each core set, we do get 10 12 16 ‘world premiere’ cards, but also 10 8 4 ‘OCG import’ cards, from the older days of Japan. Usually, their promos we don’t get. In Legendary Collection: Joey’s World, we got some Normal Monsters that came out in 2001, and in Number Hunters we got “Insect Armor with Laser Cannon” which was from 1999!
