Definitely sounds like Pendulum support to me
I’m hoping it’s D/D/D but it’s probably going to be a Pendulum Dragon monster again. Hoping it’s a Link but I highly doubt it.
“Advance” is what OCG calls Tribute summoning
And there also a monster called Odd-Eyes Advance Dragon.
And Odd-Eyes Advance Dragon has effects making it easier to tribute summon it and pop a card on tribute summon. It’s the Tribute Summon form of Odd-Eyes :V.
Anyway, some people will get mad about more Sky Strikers and/or Branded stuff.

No. There are 12 sets in each core series. This will be set 9 in series 12.
I know the set has Duelist in the name, but we haven’t had a series with just 8 sets since the end of Zexal. :/
Series 12 dies. Will Chronicles be the cover of series 13, or blend in with the game original followup waves?
I really hope this is not series 13. They got 8 packs (1 5ds, 1 arc V, 2 GX, 2 DM, 1 zexal, 1 vrains), they need to finish out the last fourđ

If Konami wants to paste their fanfiction slop on the cover they can be my guest. Typically the cover theme was something overly bloated to begin with anyway. As long as they keep the 2 secondary anime themes of 5 to 7 cards I won’t lose any sleep.

I expect a Yuya cover due to how Odd-Eyes was originally connected to Tribute (Advance) Summons and the similar connection to Duelist Advent in Japanese.
I also hope we get the remaining Sky Striker characters in here that have yet to be printed.
Well according to the name that make me think about Duelist Alliance which is the first extension from Arc-V. Odd-Eyes pendulum dragon will receive the Stardust dragon treatment while receiving another form. Or should we receiving a Sky Striker or Albaz cover card ? This second option are more interesting for me.
usuallly packs with “Duelist” in its name are the first pack of a new Series…so Series 13myb…as for the cover/flagship….probably will not be an archtype from anime anymore but from these Short series?
Even though it has duelist in the name it doesn’t make sense. Series haven’t had just 8 sets since the end of Zexal. Series 9, 10 and 11 had 12 sets. That means its been more than a decade.

Series 2 and 3 didn’t have Duelist in their first sets name. So by your same logic they just decide to use Duelist in a set that doesn’t start a series. Boom.
And besides, it makes sense to you that DM and Arc-V get 2 headliner sets and then the rest of the series only get one before they start a new series after the last 3 series included 2 headliner sets for each of the 6 series?

After Alliance Insight the current series still needs this pack and 3 more packs before we can get a new one. It makes no sense to stop at pack 8 and then start a new Series. We still need a 5ds,zexal,arc v and vrains pack.

I was just thinking what cover card the next pack would be, and messing around with the idea of a Dogmatika Ritual as the cover for the Dark Blue set (due for a Ritual as the other 3 Dark Blues had Fusion, Xyz, and Synchro while the previous set was Link), but laughed it off as they aren’t really anime cards.
Guess I was both right and wrong in one way or another?
If this starts adding some of the Branded archetypes into OCG-AE, I will watch the release with great interest.

If we’re going to be technically just because it has Duelist in its name doesn’t meant it going to be the start of a new Series. Just look at packs like : Soul of The Duelist, Power of the Duelist, Duelist Revolution.
oh you are missing a thing here, they don’t mean series in the sence of anime that goes along but series of cards, they usualy change that with every green set, wich is also always a “duelist” set. a series is most of the time the point at wich they change the card design slightly.

Series 9-11 had 2 Green, Red, Blue and Yelow sets. The second sets of each color are a darker hue.

The new mechanic is tribute summoning lets you set 3 Solemn Judgment from your binder to be in line with what the wonderful extra deck does.

Given we already got cards for Fire Kings + Atlanteans, Six Samurai, and Blue-Eyes based on ChroniclesâŚ
We’ll likely see cards for archetypes like Solfachords, Charmers, maybe Melffys. They have decent material to make cards on (ex. The scene of the Solfachords at the end of their segment).
Others like Dragon Rulers, Diabellstar, Visas, and Exodia likely wonât get cards⌠for one thing the Dragon Rulersâ shot was based on Dragoroar, rather than an original scene like Fire Kings/Atlantean. Evil/Live Twin might get cards, but given they already unveiled new support I donât think so.
The might (I hope) go back to the original style of pack covers as in a character in front of the cover Card
