PHNI-EN089 Xyz Force
Normal Spell Card
Send 1 “Xyz” card from your Deck to the GY, except “Xyz Force”, or if an Xyz Monster is on the field that has an Xyz Monster as material, you can add the “Xyz” card to your hand instead. During your Main Phase, except the turn this card was sent to the GY: You can banish this card from your GY; detach 1 material from an Xyz Monster on either field, then if the detached material was an Xyz Monster, you can Special Summon that monster from your GY or your banishment, in Defense Position. You can only use each effect of “Xyz Force” once per turn.

“Banishment”? Thats new
I’m thinking why finally “your banishment” should exist, it is because they should reference a place without card possession
The Xyz detached could be or could not be your possession
They cannot reference “that is banished” for that reason cause it should be detach a specific material to a specific place(s) in this case, your GY or your “banished zone”
The most of time that they can indirectly say that is because it is always your cards (“your banished card” or “your card that is banished or [in your other place]”)
They finally bit the bullet on naming The Area Formerly Known As The Removed From Play Zone, huh?
“banishment” i think konami new staff confused in translation lol
Please do not be misdirected, banishment is 100% a type when seeing the other tcg exclusives in the pack.
Typo* ironic
that’s the joke
This is an almost strictly better version of Generation Force. But now decks that want to search “Xyz” cards can play both!
Hmm… Well, it will depend on what you need that Xyz card for, and also which location you need it to be in most.
Was hoping we’d get the FIRE Hex-Sealed Fusion as a TCG exclusive to tie in with the recent Flame Swordsman cards. Guess I’ll have to hope it sneaks in with the OCG after they get the World Premiere Pack this year.
Because the big thing with this card is that Xyz Force only allows the search while an Xyz Monster with another Xyz Monster as material is on the field. So certain Decks and strategies can do this super easily, no problem. But other Decks that don’t usually overlay Xyz on top of Xyz would probably have an easier time with the classic Generation Force, instead, provided that searching their Xyz cards to hand is preferred over sending them straight to the GY.
That said, you are right that Decks that overlay Xyz easily can run both.
This was meant to be part of my reply to Pot the Trick.
Ah good spot, I didn’t notice that it has to have an Xyz monster as a material to search it.
One of the few decent World Premiere cards in the set
Could always send Full-Armored Xyz to the GY with this. Can also bring back Xyz Force from the GY with Full Armored Dark Knight Lancer to use next turn, if you wanna search over using its GY effect.
Neat application there. I feel this was designed with the Armored Xyz engine in mind.
There seems another way to avoid more mouthful text and “your banishment” at all so by referring that detached Xyz to your Xyz, you can avoid to reference your GY or banishment at all
Banishment? You mean “1 of your X that is banished”
New official wording right here.
By referring the “Xyz monster” (card type) to “your Xyz monster”, you can avoid to refer to your GY or your banishment to be referred at all since the only places where your detached Xyz monster is sent is those 2 places
