Full 10 max spotted, engage Sea Serpent and Heavenly engine.
I expected more Fusion synergy from this first wave. None of the monsters are treated as the original in the hand, and R has no way to cheat itself to the field so you need to invest resources in bringing it out.
The Deck is already tight as is and these cards are incompatible with the current support so I have no clue what Konami is trying to do with these cards. The other Maximum effects are relatively weak.
The Spell is decent.
flare fusion lets you use fusion materials in the hand
And none of these cards are treated as Red-Eyes in the hand, and Flare requires you to use one by name as material.
The only monster the Maximum can summon in hand is Meteor Swarm Entry Dragon, as everything else has specifically named materials.
And if you just want a fusion substitute Moon is better.
N i think you are misunderstanding how Maxiflare’s effect work.
Red-Eyes Maxi-Flare Dragon [R]
[CONTINUOUS EFFECT] During your opponent’s turn, Spell/Trap Cards on your field cannot be returned to the hand, Deck or Extra Deck. **If this card is used as material for a Fusion Summoned, its name is “Red-Eyes Black Dragon”.**
whether its just the R piece or the maximum monster, Maxiflare is treated as Red-Eyes regardless of location for fusion.
I’m fairly sure that’s not true, effects only apply on field in Rush Duels.
Continuous Effects are on the field only. Case in point, Moon has both an in hand treat as REBD name condition and the on field effect that lets it be treated as REBD as a fusion material. R only obtains the same condition on the field. You are better off using Moon.
What’s the prevention to bouncing to Extra Deck for Spells/Traps for?
That’s gonna me the ugliest Maximum monster I ever seen lol. Red Eyes Long Neck Dragon.
Look, in the end, a Maximum Piece ended up being used for Rush’s Red-Eyes’s Fusion strategy.
It’s funny that Red-Eyes’s Maximum combines all three strategies of the Deck: Burn damage, Card destruction, and Fusion Summon.
Red-Eyes Maxi-Flare Dragon [R] has the strange condition that it gives protection against Bounce to Spell/Trap Cards, but they highlight the Extra Deck as well.
Calling Dark Meteor is your Fusion Monster’s resurrector (which might indicate that there will be new Fusion Monsters here)
The good thing is that Rush’s Red-Eyes has like a total of 30 Slots to know: which means that we could have a lot of new cards.
PS: Is it just me or is YGOrganization having errors when displaying Posts and Comments?
I think Maxi-Flare Dragon R’s effect is future proof in case they release something similar to The Claw of Hermos, or Red-Eyes Slash Dragon. Being able to Equip Monsters or Monsters that equip themselves to other monsters.
it’s not future proofing. it’s now proofing.
they don’t want to have too many copies of “Red-Eyes” on the field because then it becomes easier to abuse Inferno Fire Blast.
During your opponent’s turn, Spell/Trap Cards on your field cannot be returned to the hand, Deck or ***Extra Deck***.
HMMMM…
Is Union monster or The Claw of Hermos going to be introduced to Rush Duel?
This Maximum is so cool!
Rip Red-Eyes players, nerver getting tcg/ocg support…
Rip who. These are for Red-Eyes players in Rush Duel. Or you can’t enjoy Rush Duel, right?
@Nikoness
They clearly said RIP to TCG/OCG players, so no poop they know these are for Rush.
You literally just got an entire wave of red eyes support in ROTA with Fullmetalmorph gtfo of here with your “master duel starving” ass.
@Rushbo To be fair Metalmorph isn’t Red-eyes support, like how Shining Sarc isn’t DM support or Millennium isn’t Exodia support (it’s the closest but it runs 5 bricks and no one’s building it to get the insta-win from Exodia). It definitely works in the Red-Eyes deck but it doesn’t actually support it’s gameplan all too well.
I’m usually the Rush duel guy but Red-Eyes really deserves more in the OCG when it gets so much by comparison in Rush
God… that Red-Eyes looks disgusting. Wtf Konami?
The specificity of Red-Eyes Maxi-Flare Dragon [R] is quite intriguing.
Are we getting Spell and Trap Cards that begin the Duel in the Extra Deck? Or is this for when we get Extra Deck Monsters becoming Equip Cards or something?
I’m assuming the latter. Gadgets are here so I would expect something along the lines of Union monsters.
Thats it? 2 mid cards?
Very nice!! Is treated as red-eyes to fuse!!! And burns. I just didn’t get what happens to the opponent’s spell chosen ij the spell card. Is it just needed in order to activate but does nothing to it? If so, it should be on requirements and not on effect part?
Would had been nice if every single Max piece could be treated as a Red-Eyes material substitute instead only of them… But ohwell, better then nothing!
At least do it to the L and R pieces but nooooo
Red-eyes ocg support soon? 😀
is Calling Dark Meteors effect accurate? why are you choosing an opponents spell/trap for?
Calling effect is wrong it says “Choose 1 Spell/Trap Card on the opponent’s field” but does nothing with the card just… choosing it
tomorrow red-eyes ocg in alin?
We only have a single reveal left this month and it’s Premium Pack 2025 which is tied to the magazine release date.
Shouldn’t expect any more Alliance Insight news until December’s V-Jump news cycle, starting on the 7th.
That Max Red eyes design is HORRENDOUS
Oh the return spell or traps to extra deck does that mean pendulum soon? I know if like you equip a fusion it would classify it.
Cool they can’t bounce my equipped extra deck monsters that are equipped to a monster
So red-eyes gets support in rush duels, but hasn’t gotten support in the tcg? Seriously KONAMI what the hell!? Do you guys pretend red-eyes doesn’t exist!?
