      So basically Dragonmaid 2.0.
3.0 if you count Pendulum Magicians.

      • Leon on February 7, 2025 11:37 pm

Kinda I guess? This one archetype doesn’t seem to be targeted at the waifu crowd unlike Dragonmaid tho

      • RiderBG on February 8, 2025 12:49 am

I mean, Fymena is going to be hella popular with waifu lovers.

      • DragonRising on February 8, 2025 5:54 am

        Hmmmm,

Basically just a better and more consistent version of dragonmaid.

Branded dragontale would be pretty strong with fusing from deck and with tons of consistency.

Being able to return monsters to hand is not bad for 2 reasons:
        1) bouncing opps monsters
        2) accessing your own monsters from gy

I can see someone abusing that with branded fusion or something sending some generic card to gy, before re-accessing it through dragontale engine.

The only critique other than an underwhelming boss, is that konami are Releasing 2 Waifu decks. Like unless k-9 isn’t gonna be Waifu, and only the boss is (e.g Dinomorphia). Like 1 Waifu is alr but 2 is kinda overkill

    2. Steirn on February 7, 2025 10:49 pm

Ayo what the heck. They can cook this good for non-boss monsters, but draw lame for their boss monster…?

      • a on February 12, 2025 3:10 pm

the dragon boss monster is BUSTED

    3. Bruno Santo on February 7, 2025 10:53 pm

Ok, people… Is this Dragon Tale Deck on the same level or higher than Branded Deck?

      • Assassino Nuclear 216 on February 7, 2025 11:01 pm

Nah. Current branded has too many options. But this isn’t bad at all.

      • World of Gems on February 8, 2025 2:37 am

Branded wasn’t good at its debut until the albaz structure deck.

      • KANGA on February 8, 2025 2:00 pm

This deck is fairly mid so far. It is lost between going first or second and only one main deck master is great, the others range from okay to kind of bad. The fusion requirements requiring a material in hand makes it too fragile. The deck also doesn’t have good attributes for branded synergy.

The deck needs at least 2 waves of support in order to feel complete, but I doubt we are going to get anything more than an underwhelming 2nd wave.

I still like the deck and will enjoy trying to build something competent.

    4. NeoArCardiacArrest on February 7, 2025 10:54 pm

Literal infinite recycle loop with the traps and the spells, while also providing 4 unique shapes of interaction (pop on fusion, return to hand, pop on name activation and spell negate) . I can see it being absoloutely crazy in branded with the amount of just good spellcasters and dragon they got.
      4 branded fusion soon.

      • Aegerine on February 8, 2025 3:45 pm

A worse branded fusion since you have to use at least 1 monster in hand for the fusions and have to use a dragon tail from deck to summon a dragon tail fusion. I just don’t see how it synergizes with branded since none of them are light or dark so they can’t even be used for any of the branded fusions except for titaniklad.

    5. pranked on February 7, 2025 11:06 pm

i was playing the dragon tales theme song the whole time while reading this

      • Pkmnlover on February 8, 2025 2:43 am

well it is almost time for Dragon Tales

    6. N on February 7, 2025 11:08 pm

Dragon Tale just feels like a worse Branded, honestly. First wave in, the starters are decent but the bosses are awful. Their Spells are just worse Branded in Red and Branded Fusion.
The extenders are also very particular on supporting Dragon Tale, and only Dragon Tale, making splashing them into existing engines impossible.
The Yummy pack artwork is likely a backrow card, since Cupsith Yummy Way has too much going on to fit on the pack.

      • lelouch on February 8, 2025 1:37 am

this support branded for rid spell/trap

      • World of Gems on February 8, 2025 2:38 am

Branded wasn’t good either on its debut until the albaz structure deck.

      • Zenon on February 8, 2025 8:08 am

you need to splash it with things that search a lot and float in grave when sent from hand. this is basically inverted branded in design.

      • Joshua Schmidt on February 8, 2025 2:07 pm

people should stop complaining, the only way to stop powercreep is having lackluster decks and be ok with them.

    7. TheMismatcher on February 7, 2025 11:12 pm

Ngl really solid first wave – good synergy with dragonmaid also is never a bad thing

      • World of Gems on February 8, 2025 2:14 am

I hate mixing archétypes. So I will try pure first, then maybe try with branded later on.

    8. HFIL on February 7, 2025 11:14 pm

Yooooo! I like these! Branded Tale, maybe?

    9. Emma Sofía on February 7, 2025 11:18 pm

Now that I notice it, they are based on the Zodiac, like Constellar, Therion and Spright. I see Aquarius, Capricorn, Leo, and maybe Taurus/Scorpio. Nice.

      • Fire King Enthusiast on February 8, 2025 1:41 am

I think Constellar did the whole “Constellation” a whole lot better, since you can actually see how the monsters tie into their Zodiac (Antares has a Stinger, the Libra one has claws that look like repurposed scale weights).
Also, Sprights are named afree upper-atmospheric electric phenomena, which is why they’re Thunder type.

      • Kisuke Urahara on February 8, 2025 5:52 am

Lusius is pisces and the spellcaster might be Libra because of the shape of the spellcaster that kind of resembles the Libra symbol.

      • Emma Sofia on February 8, 2025 12:41 pm

If you search for info on the wikia, it states that both Therion and Spright are based on Zodiac, plus all of the energy stuff. This new archetype also has link to the zodiac. For example, if you see Pan’s background, you will notice Capricorn constellation, same with Urgula and Leo constellation. Fymena has the Aquarius jar, and well, based on the wikia, it seems to be that Lucias is Cancer.

Then, Altharion is both Cancer and Capricorn (both opposite signs), while Gramel is both Leo and Aquarius (opposite signs too).

      • Draco on February 8, 2025 2:32 pm

        use yugipedia not wikia

      • Emma Sofia on February 8, 2025 3:09 pm

I use both Yugipedia and Wikia. The info was extracted from Yugipedia (who is a wikia either way).

        LOL.

    10. gekko on February 7, 2025 11:26 pm

      Oh hey frightfur!
I think they did the ursarctic thing again and designed a deck with the premise of turn zero interaction and overbalanced it out of fear for what it could accomplish. The cieling here is p low and the turn zero threat is abt on par with frightfur.

    11. Nyurgh on February 8, 2025 12:02 am

      Fymena enables Turn 0 Shaddolls.

    12. Grug on February 8, 2025 12:05 am

I swear every archetype in post 2020 has the phrase “during the main phase”

Just to promote Triple Tactics Talent lmao

    13. thebaseddd2 on February 8, 2025 12:08 am

All is forgiven as the thumbnail is exactly what I expected it to be. Ulgra? More like Ugly artwork.

    14. Legend on February 8, 2025 1:01 am

      Is this DM support?

      • Fire King Enthusiast on February 8, 2025 1:44 am

I smell another reason to keep Red-Eyes Dark Dragoon on the ban list.

      • Chill on February 8, 2025 10:59 am

        Who said Dragoon was banned?

      • Dudegrey on February 8, 2025 12:31 pm

Dragoon has been legal and mid for years.

    15. Joshua Seed on February 8, 2025 1:55 am

I can see Mysterion the Dragon Crown being another option to use in the deck.

    16. Namesky on February 8, 2025 2:57 am

So another archetype that replaces advantage lost on doing it’s plays with in-archetype spell and traps. I… guess it’s fine? Bit uninspired, especially that most of decks like this are fusion-centric already but it’s a functional and well tried blueprint for new deck.

      • Fire King Enthusiast on February 8, 2025 4:43 am

Especially when you consider White Forest has an identical gimmick with their in-house stuff.

    17. Blaz Acestoune Masters on February 8, 2025 3:20 am

So far not impressed, nothing special or different…….the monsters other than fusion material lack anything useful

    18. Ryan on February 8, 2025 3:53 am

      These designs are so predictable.

    19. General on February 8, 2025 5:37 am

Is this loosely inspired by Fairy Tail?

      • Emma Sofia on February 8, 2025 12:43 pm

They are based on the Zodiac Signs, like Constellars, Therion and Spright.

    20. CakeNBake on February 8, 2025 5:37 am

Btw, both Rahu and Fymena powercreep Branded Fusion and Blazing Cartesia, respectfully. Rahu only locks into Fusions after it resolves, so you can do other stuff beforehand. Fymena can Fusion on opp’s turn just like Cartesia, but from the hand, thus you cannot use Veiler or Imperm against it. Finally, the fact that these can use ANY monster in the hand means we might soon get into literal freestyle combos, and already this deck can combo with SO much stuff, like Tear, Shaddoll, Branded, Horus, Bystial… just so many possibilities of pairing Dragon Tale with any engine that wants cards in the GY!

      • Aegerine on February 9, 2025 10:24 am

Rahu doesn’t really power creep branded fusion because you have to use a dragon tale monster from the deck and a monster from hand since it can only fusion summon the dragon tale monsters. I also don’t see how it can combo with branded since none of the monsters are light or dark so they can’t be used as fusion mats, so on that same note bystials can’t use them to summon themselves.

    21. Gin Juichi on February 8, 2025 5:55 am

How much would this archetype compliment Invoked decks? I’m just asking this, because I see a potential synergy.

    22. Cyberse Man on February 8, 2025 6:33 am

This archetype feels pretty flat without playing with another thene. Relies too much on seeing Fymena and/or Rahu to do anything by themselves and I can’t see how you bridge other good Fusion decks like Branded with them.

      • Cyberse Man on February 8, 2025 6:39 am

        *theme

Deck definitely has potential though when paired with generic engines, but that can be said with almost anything released recently

    23. The one on February 8, 2025 6:41 am

Lol, could have been dragonmaid support instead of a new one (equal btw) to male it more playable. Wasted

    24. silen on February 8, 2025 7:27 am

I believe it should be “Dragon Tail”, not “Dragon Tale”. They are inspired by lunar node, in medieval reffered as “dragon’s head” (ascending node) and “dragon’s tail” (descending node), also in hindu astronomy respectively called “Rahu” and “Ketu”.

      • Emma Sofia on February 8, 2025 12:45 pm

Also the Zodiac Signs. The actual members are Cancer, Capricorn, Leo and Aquarius, while the fusions are made of the opposite signs. Altharion is Cancer and Capricorn and Gramel is Leo and Aquarius.

Also, in Lucias armor you can see the Ascending and Descending Node symbols.

    25. Legend on February 8, 2025 9:01 am

Strange that non of the spells are quick-play

water fusion design kinda kicks ass

    27. RyuuGaSaiko on February 8, 2025 2:18 pm

Was it announced that they’d have spellcasters too and I just didn’t notice?

      • summer on February 9, 2025 2:16 pm

Lucias and fyema (and gramel) are spellcasters

    28. Dies from Cringe on February 8, 2025 3:31 pm

Another waifu deck, are you serious rn????

    29. yukicrewger2 on February 8, 2025 3:51 pm

aaand I’m right once again. Every time a deck build back reveals its three archetypes, the first one we get the cards for is always the one I’m least interested in (don’t like the fusion monsters, but am going to use some of the main deck cards as a small support engine)

I guarantee the next one revealed will be the “K9” archetype (I’m at least neutral with that one) and the “Yummy” archetype will be the last one (that’s the one I’m currently most interested in)

      • Deuxplume on February 8, 2025 10:24 pm

Damn, you’re soooo cool and right all the time! I wish I could be like a savant like you in the YGOrganization comment threads!!

      • summer on February 9, 2025 2:24 pm

“Yummy” is more likely going to be Purrfait after localization.
The delicious critters are not only feline in nature but also look like parfaits and given the deck is about catching and eating the quirky little guys it’s highly likely they will go for a pun that combines cats (Purr) and parfaits and thus purrfaits.

    30. Daki x Squire 2026 on February 8, 2025 5:28 pm

The biggest sin of this archetype is being basically a rehash of ideas that have been executed much better before

In any case, it seems relatively flexible to experiment, so I see potential in it

    31. Voido on February 8, 2025 6:47 pm

This looks okay, I’m just salty we didn’t get the Yummy reveal first

      • summer on February 9, 2025 2:26 pm

It’s very likely gonna be called Purrfait not Yummy

      • phos on February 10, 2025 6:55 pm

        @summer purrely collab!?

    32. fiendsmithftw on February 9, 2025 10:31 pm

      genshin impact the archetype
