The Fallen and the Virtuous
Note from Dan: Each Chapter includes a collection of cards associated with the message. These cards can be found here.
=== The Story of White ===
=== Chapter 1 ===
What the Cardinal brought about were the remains of an ancient prosperity
Will that be a Gospel, or perhaps a Malediction?
The embers will become the spark that will light up the land once again
The Knights of the Holy Teachings prepare their swords
As the Beasts of Iron ready and aim their weapons
And then, the Young Boy encounters the Young Girl
Here, the gates of The Abyss are about to be opened
TL notes:
-The literal translation for “Cardinal” would be closer to “The [religious] Lord of Major Affairs”. “Major Affairs” (枢機) is force-read as “Nexus” in “Dogmatika Nexus”. The Japanese word for “cardinal” is 枢機卿, or “Lord of Major Affairs”. “Major Affairs” is also present in the name of Dogmatikalamity Alba System.
-“The Knights of the Holy Teachings” is usually force-read as The Knights of “Dogmatika” in the cards.
-The “Beasts of Iron” is part of the base name of the Tri-Brigade theme (鉄獣戦線, Front-lines of the Iron Beasts).
=== Chapter 2 ===
A storm of tragicomedy bursting in The Hole
A brief adventure
And yet, the shadow of an artifice lies behind the veil
Lurking in the wings of the stage is a melody of love and hatred
In the depths of Hades, despair squirms
Fate shines a mysterious light on the Despians
Here, the curtain of the Play of Wickedness rises
TL notes:
-“The Hole” is a forced reading for “(theater) Stage”
-“Despians” is a forced reading for “fools”. The “fools” were previously mentioned as “foolish performers” by the end of the VBEX2. However, in the same book, “Despians” is a forced-reading for “actors of tragedy”.
-The “Play of Wickedness/Evil” is part of the name of Ad Libitum of Despia, force-read as “Ad Libitum”.
=== Chapter 3 ===
The Guardians of the Sacred Summit
To answer their wishes,
a Dragon of Swords, enveloped in iceflames
Nevertheless, the farce does not cease
The Jester of divinity sneers in the sky
The innocent Holy Maiden is dyed in red
Here, the cries of the dragon cannot reach her
=== Chapter 4 ===
Erupting flames and roaring thunder: The Iron Nation
In the ring of the mighty, he stays at the top
His reason for standing up: the sake of his friends
What rings and echoes: the bell of the god
NOW ALL OF YOU, WITH ALL YA GOT
GO, GO, SARGAS!
PUSH, PUSH, SARGAS!
TL note: “God” is a force reading for “Thunder God”
=== Chapter 5 ===
Fragile yet still connected flames dance across the ruins
Fleeting, yet brightly blazing
They will be the light that shines upon the fallen shadows
Evoking the Scorching Thunder, the Wing of Iron, the Sword of the True Aspect,
and the Flames of the King
And then, the rendezvous of the Young Boy and the Young Girl
Here, the Land of the True Flames is about to be opened
TL notes:
-“Blazing” uses 赫 for 赫ける (to shine), which through most of the story is used as “red”, and is associated with Aluber and Cartesia, but later is used for Luluwalilith and Brightest, Blazing, Branded King
-“Fallen shadows” uses a homophone for 烙印 (rakuin, Branded), written with 落 (fall) and 陰 (shadow).
-“The Sword of the True Aspect” is a convoluted way to rewrite the Japanese name for Swordsoul (相剣, one’s self-aspect + sword).
-“True Flames” is part of the name of Albion the Sanctifire Dragon, but also a homophone of 深淵 (shin’en, The Abyss), allowing for the last line of the last chapter to match the last line of the first chapter.
-The land being opened is a reference to the end of the story. Once again, the story begins with the title of “A Closed-Off Land”, concluding with the Japanese name of the card New Frontier: “The Boundless Open Land”
=== Side Episodes ===
Dogmatika Nation
An ecclesiastical nation of light, heralded by its absolute ruler, located in the North of a continent known as “The Abyss”. Its citizens carry “Holy Stigmata” in their bodies to prove they are the children of god, granted to them by the hands of “Maximus”; the representative for the god of splendor. The Holy Stigmata grant their hosts miraculous favors, and those among them with strong power bear the honor and duty to protect the land and its people from the apostles of heresy, who have rejected the Holy Stigmata and resent the Dogma.
Side episode: The Child of Miracles
Right before fulfilling his ambition, Maximus reflects on the past.
In the times of the Three Saints, he was burdened by a trivial matter.
Holy Maidens were taking position one after the other, and the overflowing blood was enough to soak all of them in curses. While this was a magnificent spectacle, it was also insipid.
Furthermore, the faith was declining, which would lead to more traitors like Miina.
Therefore, the Holy Stigmata will never become Brands.
How foolish he had been: He was over-focused on productivity.
Spending more time was necessary. One by one, slowly and meticulously: Wrap them in clothes, sing them a lullaby, carefully immerse them in happiness, then send them out to the stage of despair.
He needed to be the scriptwriter. He needed to be the director.
Only one of his children would be completely covered in the limelight.
-Dogmatikalamity-
And now, with this, the curtain of the Play of Wickedness rises.
Ecclesia: The very, very last ace up my sleeve.
Have your fun with your brief adventure, sometimes laughing, sometimes crying, getting angry, and become a strong child.
And when you do, I will come to pick you up. Of course, Fleurdelis will also be there.
TL notes:
-For some reason, the terms “productivity”, “lullaby”, “[script]writer” “stage”, and “director” are all written as the equivalent Japanese word, but force-read as their English counterpart.
-“Limelight” is written as “Red illumination”, with the “Red” being the “Red” used for Branded in Red, Cartesia, etc. This is force-read as the English word “limelight”.
-“Ecclesia” is written as “The Child of Miracles”, and “Fleurdelis” is written as “onee-sama” (the respected big sister figure for Ecclesia).
Side episode: The Age of the Three Saints
The reign of Maximus, the proxy, had covered many ages. Across countless generations, he was in charge of raising the children of countless people in the ecclesiastic nation, teaching them about death, the love for god and faith.
One day, Maximus bestowed the three Holy Maidens of that era with the Holy Relics.
Those were the divine weapons that also represented the creation of the world and the founding of the nation by the hands of Dogmatika Nexus, the shintai.
They were “The Sword”, “The Shield” and “The Armor”, with each of them holding tremendous miracle power, and those with insufficient Holy Stigmata would be unable to handle them.
From that day, the Holy Maiden of The Sword was assigned to the rituals, the Holy Maiden of the Shield was assigned to the government, and the Holy Maiden of the Armor was assigned to commanding the soldiers, eventually leading to the creation of factions.
The Holy Relics, much like faith, were inherited from one Holy Maiden to the next one, becoming synonymous to their role and authority, resulting in constant conflicts within each faction.
And thus, from the rise of the Three Holy Maidens and for many generations, the bloodshed and tragedy of the ecclesiastic nation was not due to a holy war with its external enemies, but due to the factional strife for power.
The Treasure Hunters: Springans
A distant volcanic area. The raging flames harbor a fighting spirit, and from the pig iron coming from these overpowering flames, steel is born, and from steel, weapons are born, and from weapons, conflict is born. The winner basks in glory as he pleases, while the scrap is tossed back into the furnace, as the Iron Nation expands. And after days and days of melting scrap iron, the flames began thinking: “THIS IS LAAAME!” THIS DUMP is not where WE are supposed to shine. Tired of the fighting spirit, the outcasts seek a new land where they can “burn” best, leaving behind the Iron Nation.
TL note:
-“Scrap” is a forced-reading for “the steel of losers”.
The Allied Forces “Tri-Brigade”
A volunteer army of the demi-human tribes that resented the ecclesiastic nation. As bodies mixed with beasts cannot carry the stigmata, they were regarded as an affront to god by the Dogmatika. Despite having their habitat, their brethren and their pride trampled, the hostilities among these tribes continued, and the one to finally bring them together was a young boy that had been ostracized by the tribes: The Great Wing of Iron. Led by his majestic figure flying through the skies, his companions yell their war cries.
TL note:
-“War cries” is written as “voices of war cries”, with “voice” being a forced-reading for “howl”. The “howl” of the Tri-Brigade is repeated across the story.
Side episode: Shuraig
Even if it costs me my life, I will protect them.
The young boy glares at the monster before his eyes.
His life so far among The Winged Tribe had been hell.
A good-for-nothing missing one wing. A cursed child that sullied the prideful wings.
The insults coming from his tribesmen were varied, but in his eyes, they all struck the same chord: He was “impure”.
He was persecuted, his soul crushed, and in the end, flatly abandoned.
With no place to go, and no more provisions, all he could do was listen to the footsteps of death.
What saved the young boy from dying of despair was an encounter that was nothing short of a miracle.
A young girl, kidnapping her young sister who had been chosen as a sacrifice for an ancient custom of The Claw Tribe.
A young boy, cursed with regressing into a beast by an outdated tradition of the blood of The Fang Tribe.
They weren’t that different from himself: Undesirable children, not loved by anyone, who had been rejected by fate.
However, that is exactly why they were drawn to each other, and how they got closer to each other.
They didn’t call him “impure”, but instead called him by who he was.
They are the first friends that gave him a name.
I won’t let you kill them.
I’m sure you can easily crush me with those lumps of irons for arms you’ve got.
Even so, I will protect them.
I’m sure you can easily flatten me with those legs of steel you’ve got.
Even so, I will protect them.
It was only a little later that the young boy found out that a miraculous encounter had happened once again.
TL note:
-“Undesirable children” (落とし子, otoshigo, also “illegitimate child” and “offspring”) is a recurring term across the story. Here, instead of using the regular “child” Kanji (子), it’s using a similar Kanji for young animals (仔).
The Swordsoul Masters – The Guardians of the Sacred Summit –
The Swordsoul Gate to the Great Sacred Summit. It exclusively opens for those with a clear heart, and it’s the only path to reach this secluded place. Its guardians are mythical beast warriors. Their appearance is that of the dragons that only exist in legends, yet they take pride in their magnificence that causes others to believe that they actually exist. Their swords display the aspect of their soul in an Icejade mirror, and for these wielders, this is the quintessential weapon: The Swordsoul. The Swordsoul reflects the true feelings of one’s soul: The ruby of conviction, the rising sun of high pride, the clearness of sincerity. And of course, even the black of a demonic conspiracy.
TL note: The Swordsoul “Gate” to the Summit is part of the Japanese name of the card Swordsoul Sacred Summit.
The Solemn Icejades, The Mother Cradle
A hidden, secluded Sacred Summit. At its furthest depths lies the Enion Cradle, a Mother Pool to the surrounding Zoa. And from this abyss, the Icejade spirits, being made to its likeness, were born. The Icejades love and care for the beings that inhabit the Sacred Summit and its environment, until they eventually return to the abyss. The empress Kosmochlor has enclosed this land in mist and protected it from the external world for an eternity. However, after an excessively long reign, her power had begun to decline, and it was about to extinguish.
TL note:
-The “Zoa” here is unrelated to Dogmatika Alba Zoa. It’s a forced-reading for “beasts”, and that would be its original meaning in Greek.
Side episode: The Great Sand Sea – Golgonda
After Xiaolian’s revolt, Kosmochlor, the leader of the Icejades resolved to isolate the Great Sacred Summit, so that nothing from the outside world could threaten it, and so that nothing from inside could threaten the outside world. The Great Sacred Summit itself was isolated from the surface in a slightly different dimension. On its former location, a massive desert was born and Xiaolian and his troops, defeated by Chengying, were bound to the desert and remained exiled. Xiaolian, consumed by his evil desire of domination, eventually lost his sanity, repeatedly engaging in cannibalism, until it ultimately turned him into a creature of voracity.
TL notes:
-Xiaolian (宵練, “Shouren” in Japanese) is named after a famous Chinese Sword, much like the other Swordsoul characters.
-The specific details by which Kosmochlor isolates the Summit are not very clear. A closer translation would be that she “shifted the [physical] phase of the Summit into a different [dimensional] plane”.
Side episode: The Revolt of Qixing Xiaolian
In ancient times, the mythical beasts of the Great Sacred Summit prospered through their military prowess, and ruled through righteousness. Among them were the Dragon Sovereigns, who possessed outstanding power: Hanguang, Xiaolian and Chengying. They were tremendously brave. Other soldiers recognized them as their leaders, and the proud tribesmen quickly reached their peak of glory.
A certain day, Xiaolian’s clan, who believed in ruling by power, planned and carried out the execution of Hanguang, who was the most influential of the Dragon Sovereigns. Declaring that not just the Great Sacred Sumit, but the entire continent will belong to him, he caused numerous wars. The young Dragon Sovereign, Chengying, along with a small group of troops decided to oppose him, despite the evident power difference, eventually being cornered into a desperate situation. However, Kosmochlor, the Ice Princess inhabiting the depths of the Sacred Summit, was grieving about the conflict in the surface, so she decided to intervene in this fight, breaking off the impulse of stillness from the Mother. The Icejade energy carried by Kosmochlor became a sword that reflected Chengying’s conviction and thanks to this power, Chengying was successful in turning the tide of the battle. Finally, he was able to defeat Xiaolian.
After these events, Chengying brought the tribesmen together, and vowed to protect the Icejades. This was the birth of The Protectors of the Sacred Summit, the “Swordsoul Masters”.
TL notes:
-The title of this side episode adds “七星” (CN: Qixing, JP: Shichisei, “Seven Stars/Big Dipper”) to Xioalian’s name, much like in the name of Swordsoul Sinister Sovereign – Qixing Longyuan.
-“Hanguang” (含光, “Kangou” in Japanese) is yet another of these famous Chinese swords.
The Ark of the Beasts: Therion Discolosseum
The Iron Nation, in the far distance. In that volcanic area, a massive saucer floats. A super relic from an ancient world, it barely remains operational by absorbing the energy boiling from the volcanoes. Nevertheless, the iron beings, overflowing with vigor, pay it no mind, and have turned the saucer, as its name implies, into a ring. Fighting on top it, the steel cyborgs: the “Therions”. Smelted by the flames of the volcano, which possess their own fighting spirit, their passion for battle that brims through their whole bodies clashes atop the saucer. Why? For what reason? Perhaps someone posed such question some time ago, and what he found was not only that nobody answered, but also that he was greeted by fists instead. Even if you ask for its meaning, there is no stopping it. That is because, for starters, everyone here is a mighty being, longing for power since our birth.
TL notes:
-The Japanese name for Therion Discolosseum is “Saucer Colosseum Therion’s Ring”, which is flexibly used in this paragraph.
-“Cyborgs” is a forced-reading for “battling machines”.
Side episode: Argyro System
At the center of the saucer lies its power core: The energy being from a higher dimension, ArgyroS.
Its first birth was right after it descended on this land. Falling from an ancient world, it decided to make use of the thermal energy of the volcanic zone to recover power, and after coming into contact with a stream with a strong will, the A.I. core of the saucer grew a sense of self.
ArgyroS was forced to act after falling on a crisis of absentmindedness right after it was born. It had to satiate its craving for conflict, which was spreading as fast as possible like a wildfire. Whether it was the God of Battle or the God of Flames, it couldn’t let itself be dominated by such barbarism. ArgyroS deployed its automaton production system, detaching itself from this brutal nature, and transplanting it. The cyborgs were now responsible for dispersing and circulating the passion for battle, which was being amplified by the volcanic energy.
Its second birth was just moments ago.
A gang of ruffians were demanding that the defeated cyborgs hand over the energy itself. When the ArgyroS core felt that its existence was in danger due to these inferior lifeforms, it reacted by splitting itself.
The split power took the form of new energy beings. They gave themselves the name “Spright”: The avatars of thunder. Together as one, they looked down with contempt and declared:
PUNY PILES OF SOOT, WHAT CAN YOU EVEN DO? FACE THE JUDGMENT OF GOD
TL notes:
-“Argyro System” is a forced-reading for “The [Administrator/Custodian] of the Zodiac”. The etymology for “Zodiac” in Japanese (獣帯) is Beasts + Belt/Area. The Greek etymology for the Zodiac is “a circle of animals”, which is exactly what is being described in the chapter.
-The God of Battle and the God of Flames have forced readings, but they are hard to read. Our best guess is “Rudra” and “Lava” respectively.
Side episode: Lanius Bucephalus
Spare parts for an attack cannon, including a prototype energy-fusion furnace.
Despite Kitt’s stubborn refusal, in the end, it was completed in a rush job, against all odds.
At this stage, it will be the last resort to take down a huge bad guy who is bound to show up..
Now that he thinks about it, the enemies they has been fighting so far have always been absurdly massive.
From the height of a kid, looking up to Sargas was like looking at a mountain of steel.
Even in the Iron Nation, they spent every day being looked down upon as a group of abandoned children by the thugs they encountered.
He had faced the leader of the Knights of Dogmatika countless times in the skies of the battlefield, but right below them were the friends and people she was supposed to protect.
She displayed tremendous strength and vigor while fending off their attacks, yet keeping her power in check.
Even so, he vividly remembers feeling that among the inter-crossing attacks, she wavered for just an instant.
Because she was just like him.
-Is this fight actually just? Is the one in front of me really my enemy?-
But despite that, they won’t back down. They cannot back down.
Behind both of them, the corpses of their companions were piling up to the point that they suffocated their own internal conflicts.
There was someone else that also was just like him. He wonders if that young boy is doing OK.
They didn’t exchange many words, he merely helped him showing him the way.
Despite that, for some reason, he felt that some elements of him were awfully similar to himself.
-At that moment, an ominous power in the shape of a dragon appeared in the skies-
-It looks like the shintai of Dogmatika has began moving-
Despite being the final battle, he ended up letting his friends leading the front-lines.
Now, stand up. Set your eyes on the enemy. Spread your wings.
Ready…Aim…
TL note: “Ready…Aim…” is the localization for the phrase “撃鉄を起こせ” in the Token/Counter card “Tri-Brigade”. A more literal translation is to prepare the hammer of a pistol when one is about to fire. This phrase is also present in Chapter 1.
Side episode: Rindbrumm
Day after day in the Great Sand Sea. Kitt spends every day inventing and exploding things to escape boredom, but what truly caught her attention was the “Hole” itself. She couldn’t possibly leave it alone as an unknown phenomenon, and if anyone had the wit to figure it out, it was her.
However, from that research that began out of curiosity, she realized something: There was a flip-side to the power of the Hole, close yet different.
That was the power of “Miracles” that the Knights of Dogmatika used, in other words, the “Stigmata”.
The appearance of Holes was irregular and only for an instant, but she confirmed that the tremendous energy emanating from them, and the thunder striking the Iron Nation reacted with each other.
After that, more and more days of explosions.
More attempts at creating and controlling an even bigger power by using conflicting elements.
If she could figure out at least one bit of this power, this key, she could be of use for her friends.
And then, an unexpected encounter with the Young Boy and the Young Girl appearing out of nowhere.
The Lord of the Sand Sea runs amok!
The Young Boy suddenly turns into a dragon!
A super powerful lady!
Thanks to these great adventures full of surprises unfolding before her eyes, her inspiration runs even faster, and her new friends make her will grow even stronger.
And now, the results of her research and inventions have come to fruition, in the form of the double-barreled attack cannon “Bucephalus” and its carrier, Rindbrumm.
Side episode: Fleuderlis
Inside a deep, deep sleep.
The Holy Maidens sink and merge into a deep red abyss.
Hundreds of hands entwine, pull, shred, break and tear,
as if those souls long for each other, as if they scramble for each other.
The dignity of the prideful Holy Maiden, the countless days of training to support that,
the admiration of her people.
Her victories, her growth, her glory.
“Those are mine, those were mine”
are the cries of hundreds of hands, as they utter thousands of curses,
they swarm to make the strongest soul their own,
as Fleurdelis, little by little, melts into one with the the great squirming unification.
Light shines in the abyss.
Light gives birth to shadows, shadows are molded into a shape.
That one is…that looks like..
The shape is lit by a warm light, and very slowly,
from inside the great unification, she rises to the surface:
Ecclesia.
At that instant, the great unification began shaking violently.
The Holy Maidens that were supposed to have been fused began regaining their individuality,
as countless hands reached out to recapture Ecclesia.
However, all of those hands were blocked and twisted into submission,
as Fleurdelis awakened.
I won’t let you put one finger or even one nail on her.
Even after merging into the Holy Maiden of Red,
the one thing that nobody could ever rip from her were her feelings to continue protecting Ecclesia.
This became the aspect of her soul,
bundling all of the unraveled souls of the Holy Maidens into a sword for herself.
A momentary awakening.
What lied before her was a ruined Evil Dragon approaching the White Dragon.
I said, I won’t let you get to her!
The strongest Holy Maiden turned her soul into hundreds of millions of red lightning strikes, piercing the Evil Dragon that had been the main culprit of everything.
Now, as always, to protect the one who was dearest to her.
TL notes:
-As usual, the aspect of the soul becoming a sword is based on wordplay around the Japanese name of the Swordsoul theme.
-In case you are paying attention, yes, they did increase the amount of red lightning strikes by five orders of magnitude from the VBEX3.
TL note: Nervall is saying “Quit fighting!”
Their new look for the sequel of their travels:
“New outfit, but it gives the appearance that has already gotten used to wearing it”
Albaz’s left eye:
Bottom: “Maybe when he uses his powers (?) it opens? Normally, it’s closed.”
Top: “The color of Brightest, Blazing, Branded King”
Top right: “[Springan] At this time”
Albaz’s new outfit:
Top: “At first, Tabilbaz was excited about wearing this tailor-made outfit”
Top right: “But he lost his outfit very quickly…”
Bottom right: “Albaz! You are on fire!” “Kyaaa!! (Albaz’s scream)”
Kitt: “It was supposed to be fireproof..?”
Bottom left: “From that point forward, they both decided to take it a little slower”
TL note: “Tabilbaz” is the nickname for the traveling (旅, tabi) Albaz, from the reference art of New Frontier.
Albaz’s weapon:
Top: “An icicle blade snapped off Mirrorjade”
Middle: “Since the Swordsoul Swords reflect the power of the user, the design of the Guardian Dragon (Albion) is present, and the blade takes this form.”
Bottom: “The law of conservation of mass is ignored, that is the power of the Icejades…!”
TL note: The details in the second rectangle are too small to read.
Ecclesia:
“Half-Holy Maiden mode”
Mode 1: Mace
Kitt: “Created it”
Albaz: “Could you make it a little lighter? *Was bulky*”
Mode 2: Warhammer
Kitt: “Created it”
Mode 3: Granguignol
Kitt: “Had no idea”
Top: “Spinning 317th [Holy Maiden]”
TL note: “Granguignol” is a forced-reading for “Holy Dragon”, probably to confer it was a dragon born from the Holy Maidens, but this term is not included in the actual Granguignol’s name.
Mode 4: Albion
“A combination attack of the half-Holy Maiden Ecclesia and Iceflame Albaz, TO BE CONTINUED”
TL note: “Albion” is a forced reading for “White Dragon Attack”.
Aluber’s wings:
“Can spread wings on both sides, but only does so on one side”
Power source:
Top: “Albaz gained the power of the Sanctifire by opening his eye, Aluber gained his power from his mask”
Bottom: “1) Dragon Eye 2) Human Eye 3) Demon Eye”
TL note:
-The “Demon” Eye is a forced-reading for “Black Goat”.
Cartesia’s eyes:
“Eyes that reflect the light in front of her”
Cartesia:
Left: “From red to white”
Bottom left: “[Uses her] feet for walking”
Bottom right: “The prayers and maledictions of the nameless Holy Maidens”
Cartesia’s wings:
“Darkened stained glass”
Kitt 1:
Top: “While tailoring the clothes for Tabiclessia”
Fleurdelis: “Wouldn’t that show too much skin on the legs? NO TO BARE LEGS!”
Kitt: “!??!?”
“A mysterious wave of strange thoughts”
TL note:
-“Tabicclesia” is the nickname for the traveling (旅, tabi) Ecclesia, from the reference art of New Frontier.
Kitt 2:
“Nope, nope, must be a hallucination. That’s way too unscientific”
Kitt 3:
Kitt: “See nya later~”
“The mysterious static didn’t go away for a while”
Almost like a transformation sequence:
Miina:
Right: “Eh!? Miina-san!! You are going to help us!?”
Top: “Mi…ina…???”
Bottom: “Took their pen”
TL note: Mi-i-na is one way to read the digits 3, 1 and 7 of the 317th Holy Maiden in Japanese. Maximus also used this name in the first side-story to refer to a traitor.
Thug-san:
“Local specialty: Tastes like peaches”
Selling goods:
“Will put anything for sale. This is a recent pattern of one of the dyed goods”
Crash landing:
Top: “S-sorry, I ended up eating something weird…”
Top left: “Crashed and destroyed”
Middle: “The inn where they are currently staying: Uminoie”
Bottom: “Forgiven for taking out the thugs that are becoming more and more frequent on the streets”
TL notes:
-The name of the inn also means “beach house”, and it may just be a description instead, but we can’t know if it’s a proper name or a description without more context.
-It is also not clear who is taking out the thugs and being forgiven. It could be the Springan that crashed the ship, and/or Albaz & Ecclesia, who crash-landed in this area and are staying at the inn.
Inn:
“Even in these dangerous lands and times, there are still inns like this one, managed by a very strong guy (like Sargas). The seafood is delicious”
The long journey ahead:
“Because they got involved in solving every problem in town without exception, the journey ahead is very long”

Daaammm….Great art and Lore drop
I bookmark this page. Please don’t delete it someday.
Just print out this page as a PDF
I’m pretty sure the majority of us are hoping these will be turned into cards for our favourite archetypes
and of course Ecclesia is adorable… when is this thing coming out in English?
I very much would like “Incredible Ecclesia, the Virtuous”s alt art card
It probably isn’t
Cannot wait for the Melffy Lore CHRONICLES alt art
Bought the White Story Complete Files serveal months ago. It’s a cool collector’s item but I don’t know if it worth over 300 dollars through.
So… we are going back to Albaz lore when?
We are getting more info about what’s happening with Albaz and his waifu and last time we saw what’s with Aluber, we saw his throne room being empty.
They’d better release more swordsoul support after that lore drop of the old Swordsoul sovereings. Hanguang and Xiaolian should be new synchros
I don’t think they need new synchro. Maybe another starter and extender with gy protection effect would be nice. And for the love of god, put restriction on it so we dont have another SHS generic spam.
I’m pretty sure Xiaolian became Supreme Sovereign Serpent of Golgonda. and Hanguang is dead
For a second there I got excited thinking we were getting Fish lore, but it’s just Branded lore dump #200
Their lore is they are fish….not exactly deep.
Just Cuz of “White” doesn’t mean it’s Fish or Blue-eyes, [CF01] should have been the clue for you that it’s about the Albaz storyline
MBT LORE!!?
Will there be a eng version?
What do you think they’ll do for the next one? World Chalice? Or another anime theme inspired collection like the Numbers file? Maybe a complete anime HERO collection. Maybe a DimensionBros set. Can’t really see any other anime collection that could at the same kind of size for value as the Numbers. Not even Dark Magician. I would consider a Signer Collection only after Luna finally gets a wave of support or a Dark Signer collection once Greiger, Devack and Roman get a new wave, but not before.
I still think this is a pretty weak story compared to other ones.
Too many side quests. Too much focus on Albaz and Ecclesia, but they’re not that interesting character-wise. Ecclesia is kinda okay-ish, since she’s supposed to be kind of generic all loving hero. Albaz is just living macguffin.
They just get push forward by the plot of other characters most of the time. The only one that seem to drive the plot forward is Fleurdelis. Aluber is barely a character.
Swoswo-Icejade arc is pretty interesting though.
Also way too much branded fusion support. We could’ve had springans, swoswo, tri-b support, but nah, branded fusion extender/starter #13.
Look at this dude lmaoooo
yes you are very cool and special for being the only albaz lore hater in the world. So different!
Kinda morbidly funny how while Kit was designing the outfit for Ecclesia for post war travel Fleur appears as a spirit trying to make Kit redesign it so Ecclesia’s legs are covered but then Kit snaps out of it and makes Ecclesia go bare legged anyways… also makes you wonder if it has something to do with Cartesia trauma where she cast off most of her clothes and went bare armed and legged.
Fleurdelis going full Mama Bear is so sweet! I prefer the straight-up prose of the Duel Terminal story to the more poetic stuff here, but I enjoyed this nonetheless. Seeing Albaz and Ecclesia be do-gooders in their epilogue is cute too.
Theo and Adin is alive!
Okay, so fleurdelis’ souls should be still connected to ecclesia right?
Best lore in yugioh history
