Bring on the onslaught of destructive DARK Machines!
Replays:
Strategic Summary:
Welcome back for another casual profile, this time centered around utilizing Desperado Barrel Dragon alongside the Machina monsters. Desperado is a DARK machine that synergizes with DARK machines being destroyed, which is perfect when you have the Machina theme on-hand which has grown increasingly corrupted by the DARK attribute. Machina Ruinforce is their new leader, a Level 10 boasting 4600 ATK that can Special Summon itself from the GY by banishing Machines whose total levels equals 12 or more. This also returns back to Desperado, since it is Level 8 and it searches Twin-Barrel Dragon upon being sent to the GY, a Level 4. Together, these Barrel Dragons give you more fodder to keep summoning back your Ruinforce, and your deck is all the better for it. If you’re wondering how to get Ruinforce into the GY in the first place, look no further than Machina Unclaspare, which can easily Special Summon itself from the hand and mill a Machina monster to the GY! Finally, Machina Possesstorage serves a vital role, constantly recurring your Machina back from the GY while also boasting a unique way to trigger Unclaspare’s Summon effect.
While this is far from the first time I’ve used the Machina theme within my profiles, it’s definitely leaning much more heavily into the destruction. With the help of BM-4 Blast Spider, you can destroy your Ruinforce for heavy damage, only to trigger Ruinforce’s last effect to Special Summon banished Machina monsters back to your board. Finally, the namesake of this profile, Heavy Metal Raiders, helps you Special Summon even more DARK machines from your hand to keep the flow of mechanized monsters strong. And since you’re running such powerful Machines, it only made sense to throw in E.M.R. too for some fun, a Trap that can destroy up to 4 cards on the field by tributing a Ruinforce. Turn it into a Machina Overdrive with the Heavy Machina Raiders, featuring Ruinforce!
