Unleash the fury of the Armed Dragon Thunder series with a Hier twist!
Chazz’s legacy is back in the upcoming Blazing Vortex core set, as the Armed Dragon cards appear once more in an empowered fashion. Gone are the days of relying on level support and battle – instead, these Thunderous variations discard any Dragon from your hand to Level up to the next form. Additionally, each base Armed Dragon Thunder carries an effect that triggers when sent to the GY to activate a Dragon’s effect. Capitalizng on both, my build uses Tempest, Dragon Ruler of Storms, and, due to running Normal Monsters for the Hieratic engine, Neo Kaiser Glider. Both of these breakeven in card advantage when using an Armed Dragon as the other discard. Finally, the Hieratic engine itself offers a bit more power to the deck, as Hieratic Dragon King of Atum gives you exactly the dragon you need at a moment’s notice. I’m also taking this opportunity to spotlight the two new Hieratic support cards coming in soon in the TCG (Hieratic Heavenly Dragon Overlord of Heliopolis and Hieratic Seal of Creation) in the upcoming Ghosts from the Past product. Overall, this strategy is very simplistic – overwhelm your opponent using aggressive dragons, the most powerful of which is Armed Dragon Thunder LV10 (YGOrg Translation). Embrace the sacrifice as you take your opponent to task with these Dragons!
