    The stats seem a lil’ off.

    DEF 2500
    Cannot be Special Summoned. You can only use the (2)nd effect of this card’s name once per turn.
    (1) If you control no monsters, or all monsters you control are EARTH Machine monsters, you can Normal Summon this card without Tributing.
    (2) When your opponent activates a Spell/Trap Card or effect (Quick Effect): You can send 1 Machine monster from your hand or face-up field, or 1 “Ancient Gear Golem” from your Deck, to the GY; negate that effect.

        They really need to add a lyrilusc for Dark Rebellion, a Lunalight for starving venom and a windwitch for clear wing. That would be amazing.

      A ancient gear that can negate and works with box, OK it’s not as broken as I was hoping but it works so I can’t complain. Now konami release some non ancient gear golem related fusion monsters and I’ll sell my collection if it ment I could even get 1 card.

      Ok had to re-read the new stuff and the best I could think of is if you start with Ancient Gear Advance into Catapult for Dark Golem adding Fusion and Box then add Dragon to NS for the turn.
      But is that any better then adding Fusion and Ancient Gear Duel instead then sending Commander from deck with Fusion using Commander GY effect to activate Duel for the FS of a second Fusion monster?

      Really the deck need a new Fusion Boss monster that mentions Ancient Gear Golem as Chaos Ancient Gear Giant is 7 years old now and does not benefit from newer cards like Ancient Gear Duel.

        They need a new Structure Deck with a fusion theme. It’s sad, that the game has become so fast, that DEF is a useless stat.

      Agreed ancient gear really needs a new fusion focused starter deck and/or a new toolbox of fusion focused core cards that can be added into your existing deck workshop of ancient gear cards.

      How could this stupid card with poor art design have the same effect as the exodia fusion? Konami might as well just draw some poop in the future and give them the omni-negate effect, like Baronne does.

        the exodia fusion not only is also a 4k guy which gets you instant game next turn, it is also a full field wipe and a towers

      I know that the Normal Summon effect is supposed to be a Reference to Cyber Dragon Special Summon effect acting like some kind of “Ancient” Prototype Version of The Cyber Dragons but… i don’t know just 500 ATK? it works with box but… well let’s wait to see what people can do with him

      I think a lot of you are forgetting how many cards in Ancient Gear ignore summoning conditions because of Golem. Tanker and Catapult are both options. Howitzer is also there, I guess.

      Also, I didn’t make the Cyber Dragon connection at first. Way different statline, so I was just thinking ‘oh, cool, this reminds me of that chrono trigger boss’.

      The attack stat is a little bait. If you make your opponent commit their battle phase to attack this in order to deal with the spell negate, that means that you have ur chance to finish the game the next turn. Dont forget that the biggest weakness of AG is going first. So imo its not that big of an issue.

      Maybe Machine Duplication would be a good idea for Rank 5 Xyz like Infinitrack River Stromer and search for AG Golem or what ever you need. (Or Xyz to Cyber Dragon Nova -> CD Infinity)

      I think we can all agree, that his Defense shoulda been 2100, and he should be able to be special summoned.
