Lmao, curtain is a cameo in his own card. Makes sense though considering curtin summoned her in the first duel her and curtin were introduced. The “original name” and this not comboing well with Pharaohs servant part is a bummer, but it is what it is. This is still a good card.
This is perfect, actually. Now Shining sarc Magician girl is full combo to make Dragoon, circle, and you use this to get Magician girl and Navigation, for an omni negate every turn, together with Circle banishing.

Not really a fan of giving your opponent a free monster, even with the stipulations.
You did see the trap for synchros right? Like do you know how many decks just run a Dark Spellcaster? Not many have that in their deck. Plus if someone is playing Dragoon you will make it so they can’t summon it because the DM would be on the field.
While the synchro trap can be used from the hand because your opponent summoned a extra deck monster. Not even a synchro monster. Just any extra deck monster. Then you can even use the GY effect it has as well on your opponents turn. Just to do some synchro summoning. People already made an FTK with that card on your opponents turn. Giving your opponent a Dark Spellcaster if they have one is little in comparison to that trap card.

That’s one way to have an excuse to release another BMG in the future. Uhh, I’m not sure how to feel about the facial expression. It just feels off and I can’t explain why. It was always annoying how the anime (DsoD included) kept pushing Pandora cards onto Atem but I guess Dark Magic Curtain is more wholesome now (and more lore accurate) so I guess it’s OK now? Now if we could just get another neo new magical hats, box, and magic cylinder that mention BM that would be great.

THIS CARD IS ONLY THE COMBO EXTENDER. WE NEED THE EFFECT MONSTER THAT GETS TO DMtPS and the actual COMBO STARTER THAT ADDS DMtPS AND 1 SPELL/TRAP!
This card will get dark magician of black chaos max banned. It’s a one card combo with rod, to search curtain special og dm search secrets of dark magic banish dm for dmod search souls to special itself and dump chaos max, link off souls and rod for miasma, add chaos max to the hand then on the opponents draw phase lock them out of monster effects. You can either tribute itself to dodge imperm, (opening yourself to called by) or keep it to dodge called by. It only gets better depending on what else you open with. Opening with gaze gets you dragoon or dark paladin to lock them out of spells and monster effects, opening with secret village gets you spell and monster effects can’t be activated. Opening with new dm can get you full mitsurugi combo with the new link monster
Ok so combo is
Act prep grab illusion, eff illusion search DMPS and shuffle back another card
Use dmps reveal spell summon and set curtain
Use curtain to summon dmg and grab soul servant
Use servant to stack chaos form
Use gy eff draw 2
Use chaos form using dmps to summon illusion
Banish dmg to summom dmod
Search rod summon rod grab gaze
Link dmod and rod to summon IP and use gaze to summon dragoon
Now you have illusion negate plus dmps revive to use duster eff in their turn and after using dragoon negate can link it with ip into selene to revive dragoon freed from gaze and get another negate 😀
Sorry, but new Curtain is a Quick-Play so it can’t be activated the turn it is set.

So, an e-tele for ANY dark spellcaster? It’s obviously stronger in Dark Magician decks, but any deck that uses spellcasters could run this to get material. Actually, any XYZ deck could also use this to get a free material. And, even if it can’t activate it’s effects, effects that don’t activate will be in effect, such as Jackal King’s ability to accrue spell counters, and then negating an effect on the opponent’s turn. Maybe I’ll play it in Radiant Typhoon, to give nice monster negate while also being a quick-play to work with cards like Krosea.
I know it’s unlikely, but I hope they start revealing the third card for each rival character tomorrow

Why her arm looks so wrong?
This is good, but I really wish konami also started doing focused DMG support so cards like this could also include her more broadly, as it’s mostly focused on DM, which is fine, but also, a bit of a wasted potential for a synergy of two archetypes, I’m sure a fully fleshed-out DMG deck would be quite profitable for konami, but they are afraid of success apparently.
Also, is such a shame this artwork is gonna be horribly buthcered on the tcg, and I bet you they are then gonna include them on their dumb “lost art” box sets to milk more money out of the players.

You can’t double search if you special Dark Magician Girl the Magician’s Apprentice in the Shining Sarc deck for everyone thinking they can. It specifically says original name.
In fact, you can’t even search Shining Sarc off of her because Curtain says the monsters special by it can’t activate their effects.
