[TCG-BPRO] Double Fusion, but not that Double Fusion

    SanokalBy SanokalJanuary 19, 20267 Comments

Two World Premiere Fusion Monsters have broken protocol, I repeat.

    BPRO-EN094 – GMX – ALLOS (Common)
Level 8 LIGHT Dinosaur Fusion Effect Monster
    ATK/3000
    DEF/900
    1 “GMX” monster + 1 Dinosaur monster
Each time your opponent Normal or Special Summons a monster(s), gain 200 LP. You can only use each of the following effects of “GMX – ALLOS” once per turn. You can target 1 “GMX” monster or 1 Dinosaur monster in your GY or banishment; Special Summon it. This card cannot attack the turn this effect is activated. At the start of the Damage Step, if this card battles an opponent’s monster: You can destroy that monster.

Note: This was the second monster teased for the GMX theme.

    BPRO-EN087 – Flux Oschenfeld (Common)
Level 7 EARTH Rock Fusion Effect Monster
    ATK/2600
    DEF/2000
1 Level 5 or higher EARTH monster + 1 Rock monster
If this card is Fusion Summoned: You can Special Summon 1 Rock monster from your hand or GY, except “Flux Oschenfeld”. (Quick Effect): You can target 1 EARTH monster you control and 1 card your opponent controls; return them to the hand. You can only use each effect of “Flux Oschenfeld” once per turn, and cannot activate more than 1 in the same chain.

    BPRO-EN089 – Storm-Bane Dragon Destorbim (Common)
    Level ??? DARK ??? Synchro ??? Monster
    ATK/???
    DEF/2800
    ???

Exosister Karmael (YGOrganization localisation) is confirmed as an Ultra Rare, and Spenta, the Magistus Sealer is a Secret Rare.

Could Flux Oschenfeld be good in Fossil decks?

I think it might be more related to the Magnet/Magnet Warrior archetype

Off the top of my head, when I think Flux, the only things that come to mind is Flux (a chemical that is painted onto certain areas to make the soldering metal flow smoother. Learned about that in Art class in High School) and Magnetic Flux (a state when an object’s magnetic properties change at a non-natural or accelerated rate, such as increasing/decreasing in strength, or reversing polarity)

There was a Magnet Deck in Zexal but those cards haven’t been released yet.

What I’m seeing with these cards + the previous ones is that the idea behind this archetype is to connect dinosaurs with archetypes like fossil or similar by giving them a shared engine

From what I’m seeing, GMX is built around the Fusion Monsters, not the Main Deck ones. The Main Deck GMX cards just set up the top of the Deck, while the Fusions actually trigger their effects by pulling them out of the GY or banishment.

ALLOS confirms the scientists are non-Dinosaur and fuse with generic Dinosaurs. I’m expecting a card that interacts with the top of the Deck—something like a controlled excavate to banish, mill, or Special Summon—to pull GMX monsters and/or Dinos out and keep the engine cycling.

The other Fusion is Magnet Warrior support.
