Volcanic Mine was never getting in. From the moment Flame Crime (5D’s Monster) was confirmed to be after Ebon Sun (GX Spell), there were going to be no GX Traps.

Why is everyone going on about Volcanic Mine like the one thing preventing Volcanics from Tier 1 status was a single anime exclusive trap card?
It has nothing to do with meta status and more to do with consistency.
Volcanic Mine is a Volcanic Trap that can summon Bomb Tokens, the very same ones mentioned and summoned via Ejection and Trooper. Same Level, Type, Attribute, and stats. Emperor specifically supports and sets Volcanic Traps. The Bomb Token printed in July’s Tournament Pack even uses the same artwork as in the anime, confirming without doubt it is the very same Token as in Mine.
Konami went out of their way to support a Token that was first introduced in a Volcanic anime Trap in an archetype that supports Volcanic Traps, so I and a few others expected Mine to get printed eventually. Several anime cards would get core booster printings, including Fire Recovery. The PP was the last cope as it included anime cards in the past. I gave up when we saw the pack order and the contents confirming no GX Trap at all.
