    [TCG-SUDA] New World Premiere Cards

    SanokalBy SanokalJanuary 10, 202548 Comments

For the Mitsurugi theme, see our previous article (for completion’s sake given their previous low-res, the previously revealed generic WP’s are recapped here).

    SUDA-EN081 – Dark Necromancer
Level 4 DARK Zombie Effect Monster
    ATK/1000 DEF/1400
If this card is Normal or Special Summoned: You can send 1 Fiend or Zombie Ritual Monster from your hand or Deck to the GY, then you can add 1 Ritual Spell from your Deck to your hand. If this card is banished: You can target 1 of your banished Level 4 or lower Fiend or Zombie monsters; Special Summon it. You can only us each effect of “Dark Necromancer” once per turn.

SUDA-EN082 – Vulcarrion the Rotting Phoenix
Level 4 DARK Zombie Tuner Effect Monster
    ATK/1600 DEF/0
If you control a Zombie monster: You can Special Summon this card from your hand. During your Main Phase: You can return this card from the field to the hand, then you can Special Summon 1 Zombie monster from your hand. You can only use each effect of “Vulcarrion the Rotting Phoenix” once per turn.

SUDA-EN083 – Curse of the Ancient Turtle
    Normal Spell Card
Banish 1 Zombie monster from your hand or GY; send 1 Zombie monster from your Deck to the GY. When your Zombie monster is destroyed by battle: You can banish this card from your GY; Special Summon 1 Zombie monster with 2000 or less DEF from your Deck. You can only use each effect of “Curse of the Ancient Turtle” once per turn.

    SUDA-EN084 – Minimalian
Level 4 WATER Psychic Effect Monster
    ATK/100 DEF/100
You can banish 1 other card from your hand; Special Summon this card from your hand. You can banish 1 face-up Level 4 or lower monster you control; Special Summon 1 monster from your Deck with the same original Type and Attribute that the banished monster had, but 1 or 2 Levels lower than its original Level. You can only use each effect of “Minimalian” once per turn.

    SUDA-EN085 – Shadow Severing Strike
    Continuous Spell Card
If a card(s) is banished from the hand and/or field to activate a monster effect (except during the Damage Step): You can apply 1 of the following effects based on 1 of the card types banished:
●Monster: Negate the effects of 1 face-up Spell/Trap on the field until the end of this turn. ●Spell: Draw 2 cards. ●Trap: Banish 1 monster on the field.
If this card is banished to activate a monster effect: You can add 1 of your other banished cards to your hand. You can only use each effect of “Shadow Severing Strike” once per turn.

    SUDA-EN086 – D.D. Post
    Continuous Trap Card
Monsters you control gain 300 ATK for each card type (Monster, Spell, or Trap) among your banished cards. Once per turn, during the Main Phase: You can banish 1 card from your hand or GY, then you can shuffle 1 of your banished cards into the Deck. If this card is banished: You can place it face-up on your field. You can only use this effect of “D.D. Post” once per turn.

SUDA-EN087 – Beast of Talwar – The Sword Summit
Level 7 DARK Fiend Effect Monster
    ATK/2400 DEF/2150
(This card is always treated as an “Archfiend” card.)
If you control no monsters, you can Special Summon this card (from your hand). The first time this card would be destroyed by an opponent’s card effect each turn, it is not destroyed. Neither player can target other monsters with Equip Spell Cards or effects.

    SUDA-EN088 – Ripple Bird
Rank 1 WIND Winged Beast Xyz Effect Monster
    ATK/1000 DEF/0
    2 Level 1 monsters
You can detach 1 material from this card, then target 1 monster on the field; change its battle position. While all monsters you control are in Attack Position, they gain 500 ATK. While all monsters you control are in Defense Position, your opponent cannot declare an attack.

SUDA-EN089 – The Toil of the Normal
    Normal Trap Card
Apply these effects in sequence, based on the number of Normal Monsters with different names in your GY (skip over any that do not apply):
    ● 1+ This turn, Normal Monsters you control gain 800 ATK.
    ● 2+ Negate the effects of 1 Effect Monster on the field, until the end of this turn.
    ● 3+ This turn, Normal Monsters you control cannot be destroyed by card effects.
    ● 4+ Shuffle 1 Effect Monster on the field into the Deck.
    ● 5+ Add 1 “The Toil of the Normal” from your Deck to your hand.
You can only activate 1 “The Toil of the Normal” per turn.

It seems like anti-Graydle but that’s just me

      • yukicrewger2 on January 10, 2025 1:37 pm

And anti-Noble Knights, anti-Infernoble Knights, and Anti-Mikanko… basically anti anything that uses equip spells as their primary strategy

      • Elvarg on January 10, 2025 5:10 pm

It actually does nothing to Graydles. It won’t stop their monster effects from targeting a monster since it’s not an Equip Spell effect, and won’t do anything once they resolve and equip them to something, they will just work as usual. The only things it prevents are targeting them with the activation of an Equip Spell or the activated effect of an Equip Spell.

    2. Samurex on January 10, 2025 12:12 pm

      Vendread, Myutants.
Closer still to Thief and Knights.
C’mon Konami, give them to me.

There’s always a slew of people who suddenly appear to defend these unplayable dogwater cards. To reiterate, for the people in the back: never happening, bro.

      • Nikoness on January 11, 2025 11:50 am

Bedge is that kind of player thinking YGO is always about broken cards, getting rid of any fun element about the card game. You forget how the “fun players” also help keep the game alive. So, “never happening, bro” is a selfish lie, you can keep living in your world of metagame, no one care about your tournament results, and maybe even rage quit just because you can’t win against an orthodox strategy.

    5. TheROoNCo on January 10, 2025 12:51 pm

Okay, so I didn’t expect to be so invested in Warrior Dai Grepher’s love life, yet here I am.

      • ScionStorm on January 10, 2025 6:08 pm

I’ve watched too much anime. DD Post counts as “artwork you can hear” for me.

    6. Emma Sofía on January 10, 2025 1:18 pm

Minimalian is broken. There are so much possibilities with this card. The other ones has so much potential.

      • Aggron on January 11, 2025 6:01 am

Agreed. Even by banishing itself you can summon Myutant M-05, Myutant ST-46, and Super Quantum Blue Layer all 3 of them search on summon.

    7. DuckSguised on January 10, 2025 1:31 pm

Minimalian is quite a card, no other way to describe it
The rank 1, while initially reads terrible, is actually pretty cracked mimighoul support (it’s not once per turn and, unlike Number 31/Number 13, it can flip mons on both fields, allowing you to pull of some “funny” shenanigans more consistently (Mainly with Jars))
The zombie stuff is broken and the cont spell has potential, the toil of the normal could be good in an hypotetical future where normal mons pile becomes somehow functional

    8. Somebody who always bricks with high level zombies on January 10, 2025 1:31 pm

As somebody who always bricks with high level zombies, I appreciate Vulcarrion a great deal.

    9. N on January 10, 2025 1:34 pm

Zombie Tuner and R1nk birb are decent. Everything else is trash.

      • yukicrewger2 on January 10, 2025 1:45 pm

“Ripple Bird” is more than decent, especially in a level 1 deck like Lyrilusc. That is a major boost for them.

I’d say “The Toil of the Normal” is pretty good, especially in something like a Tenyi, Primite or Magikey deck with a large number of different normal monsters to use.

and “D.D. Post” might be good in a Vaalmonica deck if paired with cards that want to be banished, while getting back the spell/trap cards you banish to activate the Vaalmonica link monsters effects. Or maybe Swordsoul, where you can retrieve important banished monsters without weaking your Sovereign

    10. Daki x Squire 2026 on January 10, 2025 1:38 pm

The Toil of the Normal would work better if it could be set with its own effect from the graveyard to the field or had slightly stronger effects

    11. Juani on January 10, 2025 2:13 pm

      No insects 🙁

      • ScionStorm on January 10, 2025 6:21 pm

we got Zombie package this time. I was hoping we’d get a generic Zombie ritual too considering last time we got an Insect fusion. But we got Vulcarrion instead.

I wonder what type will get a 3-card package in the next set. They seem to be influenced by past TCG archetypes. Maybe Psychic, considering next set will have the Heraldics. But psychic that leans into Kozmo.

    12. J. D. Guy on January 10, 2025 2:14 pm

Dark Dimension Warrior looks so cool on the artwork of Shadow Severing Strike!

So glad we have another card featuring him. And it’s a signature attack/effect card at that!

    13. J. D. Guy on January 10, 2025 2:21 pm

I can respect the edge that is Beast of Talwar – The Sword Summit.

    14. EHeroMatt on January 10, 2025 2:57 pm

Ripple Bird: Pretty interesting Ancient Fairy Dragon Support if you can somehow make it in that especially with that last effect.

D.D. Post is hilarious in both artwork and effect. The new Diabellstar banishes both a Spell and Trap card. If yiou banished this and the recent Diabell Spell that if banished you get 500 extra attack you now get 900 more on top of this + the ability to place this onto the field again.

I want to play the Beast of Talwar retrain myself but unfortunately it removes my Mikanko and Flame Flame Swordsman Dragon ideas out the window being Anti-Equip. It is an easy level 7 though…

Minima is helpful for my own personal reasons such as Banishing Gagaga Magician to Summon Girl or Sister from the deck then Summon Clerk or Child for Rank 4 plays if Sister or if Girl you then find a way to Summon Magician Back.

Shadow Servering Strike has a lot of ideas in my head like banishing with the recent Diabellstar again to add back a monster you have banished or use that Diabellstar and so on to draw cards or banish threats.

      Pretty nice funny cards.

      • CoCoA on January 10, 2025 3:49 pm

Beast of Talwar is a cool side deck card

      • Prinny on January 10, 2025 3:58 pm

Shadow Servering Strike is also good in Myutants, Bird help forcing flip the minighols

    15. Makhirot on January 10, 2025 3:07 pm

I was expecting more zombie support

    16. Fire King Enthusiast on January 10, 2025 3:52 pm

Ripple Bird definitely has a place in a Lyrilusc Deck.

Also, I find it funny that this came out after I spent some time trying to think up a Beast of Talwar retrain.

      • GG need more ZZZ on January 10, 2025 4:39 pm

Talwar doesn’t entirely stop equips because he doesn’t protect himself it says “other monsters”

    17. HFIL on January 10, 2025 3:58 pm

Dai Grepher continues to be down Bad for D D Warrior lady.

    18. Ñ on January 10, 2025 4:13 pm

      Vulcarrion has a sick artwork.
D.D. Post can be used in Metaphys.

    19. ScionStorm on January 10, 2025 6:03 pm

They couldn’t just name it The Archfiend of Talwar this time? They really wanted to print the whole archetype clause sentence?

      • Eve on January 11, 2025 12:00 am

Considering they have fixed “Novox, disciple of the VV” to “Lo, the Prayers of the VV”. So, it can match the jp name. I don’t understand why they don’t fix this one. Also Novox’s name is still better, hate it when they have to change that name 😠

    20. Ra-cycler on January 10, 2025 6:37 pm

      D.D. Post finally gives me a one-card omni-recycler.

    21. Victor on January 10, 2025 8:29 pm

No Wind Dragon Mech is pretty lame considering there’s both speedroid and crystron in this set.

    22. Moonside on January 10, 2025 9:04 pm

Minimalian is a Bemani reference! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1FVtQObS8-k&pp=ygUPbWluaW1hbGlhbiBpaWR4

    23. Articz on January 10, 2025 11:43 pm

That continuous spell seems broken. Imagine have 2 of it, you can draw 4 each turn!

      • JL-Kun on January 11, 2025 8:56 pm

Actually, you cannot. The restriction includes the effects that apply or give.

Dai Grepher’s simping is getting out of hand.

      LYRILUSC SUPPORT COMING!?
Anyways the birb isnt that strong sadly🥲.

    27. Elpi on January 11, 2025 5:17 am

The Gren Maju player in me wants to find a way to use that Water Psychic with Necroface.

If only it said type OR attribute…

    28. 999 on January 12, 2025 4:34 am

Nobody talking how Minamalian is pretty much broken? I mean any deck that works with banishment like thunder dragon transforms his cost into a +1 or even more, he CAN SUMMON FROM THE DECK you guys remember why Summon Sorceress was banned? and she was a Link 3 now look at mister “you need your Combo starter? Don’t worry i will give you your combo starter” just imagine all the Shenanigans that Dragon Link can make with him is kinda worrying

    29. ... on January 13, 2025 5:13 am

Should effect monsters be able to respond to normal s/t support? NO, but even so enjoyers of specific normal monsters or normal enjoyers in general are eating well.

    30. The Doyénne on January 14, 2025 2:03 am

I am now sitting here trying to carry the one on whether or not Ripplebird works in Floowandereeze. 🤔
