Dragons of jewels and precious metals.
原石 (Genseki) means literally “Ore”, but due to this being a very short phrase included in larger words like “more”, we chose to expand the theme name to prevent misunderstands with other cards.
ROTA-JP013 Gensekiryuu Imperial Dragon / Imperial Dragon the Primoredial Dragon
Level 6 EARTH Dragon Effect Monster
ATK 2600 DEF 0
Requires 1 Normal Monster Tribute to Normal Summon. You can only use the 1st effect of this card’s name once per turn.
(1) During your opponent’s Main Phase (Quick Effect): You can reveal this card in your hand; immediately after this effect resolves, Normal Summon 1 “Primoredial” monster.
(2) If this card is Tribute Summoned: You can apply these effects, in sequence.
● Negate the effects of all face-up monsters your opponent currently controls.
● Banish all monsters your opponent controls with the same Type and/or Attribute as any of the Normal Monsters in your GY.
ROTA-JP058 Genseki no Koumyaku / Primoredial Imperialode
Continuous Spell
You can only use the 1st and 3rd effect of this card’s name each once per turn.
(1) When this card resolves, add 1 “Primoredial” card from your Deck to your hand, except “Primoredial Imperialode”.
(2) Normal Monsters and “Primoredial” monsters you control gain 300 ATK for each Normal Monster in your GY with different names.
(3) You can declare 1 Normal Monster’s name; Special Summon 1 Normal Monster with that name from your hand, Deck, or GY, also you cannot activate Special Summoned monsters’ effects for the rest of this turn.
Note: Koumyaku typically means (Mother)lode or Vein, but here includes the Kanji for Emperor.
ROTA-JP059 Genseki no Meidou / Primoredial Tremors
Quick-Play Spell
(1) Pay 2000 LP and declare 1 Normal Monster’s name; apply this effect, then, if you control no monsters, you can Special Summon 1 Normal Monster with the declared name from your Deck in Defense Position. Once applied, your “Primoredial” monsters and Normal Monsters with the declared name cannot be destroyed by battle until the end of your opponent’s turn.
(2) If your opponent Normal Summons a monster: You can banish this card from your GY, then target 1 Normal Monster you control or in your GY; banish 1 monster on the field with lower ATK.
Note: Meidou usually means “rumble(ing/s)” but the ‘dou’ here uses a word meaning bad or ominous, so we went with Tremors.
ROTA-JP060 Genseki no Senkou / Primoredial Schiller
Quick-Play Spell
You can use the 1st and 2nd effect of this card’s name each once per turn.
(1) Reveal 1 Normal Monster or “Primeoredial” card in your hand, except “Primoredial Schiller”, then target 1 face-up card on the field (if you control a Normal Monster or a Level 5 or higher “Primeoredial” monster, except a Token, you do not have to reveal a card); negate it’s effects, and if you do, banish it.
(2) During your Main Phase, if you control a “Primeoredial” monster: You can Set this card from your GY.
Note: The Senkou refers to Schiller, a phenomenon in the visual appearance of minerals and gemstones.
ROTA-JP076 Genseki no Gouhou / Primoredial Opener
Normal Trap
(1) Declare 1 Normal Monster’s name; apply this effect, then, if you control no monsters, you can Special Summon 1 Normal Monster with the declared name from your Deck or GY. Once applied, you take no battle damage from battles involving your Normal Monsters with the declared name and “Primoredial” monsters this turn.
(2) During your opponent’s turn: You can banish this card from your GY, then target 1 Normal Monster you control or in your GY; take control of 1 monster your opponent controls with higher ATK until the End Phase.
Note: This card’s name is basically a play on ‘opening shot’.

Jewel Dragon support…ACTUAL Jewel Dragon support xD Alexandrite, Emerald (Luster #2), Sapphire (Luster), Labradorite and Diamond (Hyozanryu)
Pretty sick actually
This also supports red-eyes, blue-eyes exodia, dark magician, Sunavalon and phantasm spiral all at once.
Oh wow, you’re right. It is related to them. Even deals with ore
Beautiful cards, with the gem theme will we see re-trains of the original gem dragons perhaps?
Finally more cooking for normal enjoyers. Declare the name of your favorite normal and you’re good to go, I don’t care about the stats.
Niwatori Support?
Soooo, Sunavalon support with Tremors being better Dai🗿
It is a Quick-Play Spell, so there is that to Primoredial Tremors’ favor. You can use it to protect yourself from taking battle damage (unless they have a piercing effect) if your frontrow ends up empty when they attack into it.
That said, using it as a play-starter makes it just a more expensive Unexpected Dai with no other upsides. Because of that, I can see this being additional copies, but not necessarily as a replacement.
(Sure, Primeoredial Tremors does have its GY effect. But for Sun!Deck, you’re not gonna be able to use it ’cause Sunseed Genius Loci has 0 ATK, which nothing can be lower than to banish.)
That trap lowkey seems very nice in Paleo, quick eff snatch from gy that’s not dead on the field
BUT WHERE is ruby dragon smh
YO WHY IS THIS GREAT SUPPORT FOR RED-EYES????
Cool! I wonder if there’ll be more monsters or if this will be a 1 monster archetype.
Yo!!! i think u mean ”ROTA” 👈🏼👈🏼👈🏼👈🏼 NOT ‘info’
Now where’s Diamond Head Dragon?! lol
Satchmo please tag your card articles so they can show up under OCG/TCG. You forgot to do this with the Millenium Blue-Eyes card as well
Konami has finally given up trying to be subtle. They’re really out here saying PLAY VANNILAS! We don’t even care what you play, just PLAY VANILLAS!
Well they really pushed the battle phase with Tenpai (also dragons), so why not?
What is there to be subtle about? It’s support for vanilla monsters, it’s not like they don’t need it.
This theme is…interesting. The Monster and Continuous Spell want to have as many vanillas in the GY as possible, preferably of different names, Types, and Attributes. But the only Decks that play vanillas are those that have to for their game states, and very rarely do these Decks play more than one at that. (Those Decks also have more consistent means of getting those vanillas on the board too.) The Quick-Plays and Trap have very narrow activation windows and are largely designed around having a specific vanilla on board to Tribute off for the next turn.
So really I have no clue who this is for and what the point of this is.
This is amazing in magikey
Also is this a refrence to godzilla?
It’s for different types and attributes
Play with “Huge Revolution” and their normal monsters
Mokey Mokey Support, let’s freaking go!
How do you say this? Pree-mo-re-di-ul?
Overthinking it, it’s just Primordial, but with puns
Magikey? Maybe? They like havin different normals in their gy
Honestly in magikey only the main monster would be used but its still one hell of a card for the deck.
Dark Magician Support! O:
its blue-eyes man
Does this have any synergy with heiratic?
Plenty. They already want to play Hexer and Labradorite. Imperial lets you convert them into a monster that negates their board on their turn, then banishes their dragon and DARK monsters. That said, I don’t think these cards are the difference maker for Hieratic
Most excited I’ve been for a new archetype in a while.
Gemini??
Some of these read so custom. The trap has no OPTs. And paying 2k for any normal monster in the game reads pretty good as well. Also a removal that just sets itself every turn. Probably not enough to do anything without more monsters of the archetype, but this could be crazy if they ever release a broken pend or an archetype that needs a specific normal monster and does something.
Unfortunately, not really. Geminis are only normals on the field and in the graveyard, so the spells don’t really work with them. The monster does, for sure. And the trap card is a mostly worse reborn for them
@Petsinwinter Does a Gemini monster that was Special Summoned, and then Normal Summoned, still count as a Special Summoned monster?
@Federplayer I just looked. Yes, it still counts as special summoned. You cannot activate the effects of the Gemini monster after it was summoned with imperialode. Continuous effects still apply, tho.
Bueno ojos rojos, juega con 3 vainillas
Red-eyes black dragón
Summoned skull
This set of cards is pretty neat. I like how it looks at type, attribute, and attack of the normals. The trap requires higher atk than the normal, meaning you can’t just slot in BEWD or Cosmo Queen, the card issues a big decision for you: where’s the minimum attack you want to be able to steal? It definitely wants you to run at least 2 differe t normals, but gets better the more various ones you throw in. Or you could yolo and cheat out 3 BEWD with battle protection.
Normals with different types and attributes?
This is literally just World Chalice support!
There’s no level restriction…
Is this the TCG exclusive theme? OR is that going to be something else yet to be announced?
Their set numbers are listed right next to their names.
No, we wont know the tcg theme until next month, this is for the next set after
Am I missing it? It’s literally just Magikey cards.
This is going to be Dino Rabbit 2.0!
This should’ve been dragon ruler support. To revive the AT. The art reminds me of them.
These cards are screaming to Advanced Ritual Art and using it with the best ritual stuff, and some Gemini and Spirit stuff.
Spiral about to go nuts.
dyslexia kicked in and I thought these were “Primeordeal” at first
I’m just saying this now, I bet someone is going to use this to help facilitate a Bunilla OTK. It’s janky and rarely seen, but it’s such a good meme deck that I know someone in the world will do it.
Also, Ojama’s finally cooking good! Now you have a monster wipe in the form of Imp Dragon, in addition to more reliably being able to summon the monsters required for Ojama Delta Hurricane.
works better in red-eyes than the red-eyes cards we have :O
Primal Adventure lets gooooo
Liking this artstyle.
Primoredial Advanced Ritual Art, anyone?
Primoredial spells are going to help evilswarms ALOT
Great news for RE fans
