        All parties involved wanted an anime for a younger audience and the duel writer who worked on every series wanted easier to write duels that didn’t go into 5 minute combos.

        Sevens and Go Rush have literally been the best animes since GX after the garbage that was the end of Arc-V and the whole of VRains. I dunno what to tell you besides maybe give them a try.

        i guess ArcV and Vrains were so well done that it is clear that we did not reach the limite of what could be done with Master duel animes, right?

        As someone who watched the entirety of every YGO series…

        Arc-V had potential and some very strong episodes but was tragically sabotaged by budget and lack of planning. (See: them having to redirect funds to DSOD.)

        Vrains is, not exaggerating, one of the worst anime I’ve ever seen. The characters are almost entirely one-dimensional and never followed up on. Anyone who isn’t Playmaker or Soulburner is jobbed left and right, and the writers literally said they needed to make soulburner throw because of the sheer power of the actual IRL decks. Both the voice acting and the dialogue are, frankly, flat as hell (I can understand japanese without subtitles, cope and seethe), and the duels are a mess because they have to keep up with the modern powercreep of YGO.

        Sevens is the best series since GX. I’m not kidding. I went into it expecting it to be bad and was met with episodes starting off as only decent but ramping up to excellent. Last episode made me cry.

        Go Rush is okay. I hear it gets better later, but I haven’t managed to get into it that far yet.

        Now can we -please- stop blindly hating on RD without good reasons? Every single comment section here, I swear…

        Rush Duel is way better than MR5 lol! with MR5, Konami didn’t get new players especially newbies or younger audience due to how complicated and unfun the MR5 can be at times with newer META cards release. But with Rush Duel, Konami gains newer audience everyday and mostly important the Rush Duel gameplay aren’t complicated and ez for everyone to understand 😃 Rush Duel is the newer way to play yugioh rn!

      Yeah the art also look pretty good. It is such a shame that AG supplier and Baron wight both are RD exclusive. They probably get more money in RD than the official

      Only a few cards right now but the Skull Servant strategy fits Rush Duels to a T. If they add another card that can be treated as Skull Servant in the GY then the King OTK becomes pretty valid

        i would really love a skull servant fusion. maybe like something based off of the Gashadokuro yokai.

        its a shame because a lot of the existing Wight cards wouldn’t work in Rush, so we probably won’t see much support for the deck.

        @Rushbo – don’t call it just yet. The Skull Servant archetype’s a fan favorite and Ancient Gear & Cyber Dragon alike show that they’re not above completely reinventing-from-the-ground-up archetypes to port into RD.

        We can but hope…

        @Iris “Mayakashi Skull Servant, I Guess” Saintclaire – While I think some Skull Servants from the OCG/TCG could come to Rush Duels with changes, I think they’ll be focusing on creating new members that fill similar roles or help with other weaknesses of the Deck.

        And well, a Contact Fusion for Skull Servant would be a welcome thing. Zombie is no stranger to receiving Contact Fusion Monsters as they have recently obtained one.
