Do not be fooled, Mazera’s handrip 3 is niche in Rush
Unless you’re on Deckout, or your opponent is holding on for a big play, it’s helping more than anything

Curse or Fadronir help your opponent draw 1 to 2 cards. You activate one of them, then Ritual Summon Mazera and activate its effect. Also, in Rush Duel, holding something for big play is really a good tactic which most people never know.
Also, New Start still exists, and it helps your opponent draw 5 cards during your turn.
Yeah, you’re just helping them dig more.
Ah yes, the duality of Zera: I can be your Angel as well as your Demon.
The good thing is that Crossroads of Zera is treated as a “Zera Ritual” (so Wanderer of Zera is in STONK since it’s a one-card combo)
The bad thing is that the new Ritual Monsters will only get their Effects if you have a Zera Ritual Monster or “Warrior of Zera” (and well, the Deck doesn’t have good Draw Power and its Backrow is still dependent on OG Zera)

Zerato is a weaker but more consistent Jagged Claw Attack. Pitching monsters each turn can make use of dead high Level monsters in hand (namely Ogre and Wanderer), so theh can be recovered later.
Mazera is meant to recover a Ritual. Ideally Evil Fiend since it must be Ritual Summoned for its effect, but also Zerato since there is no theme way to recover it normally. 3300 ATK lets it beat or tie with most monsters by battle, patching up restrictions from the prior Rituals. (Zera’s archetypal backrow must be drawn into and Zerato can only destroy Level 8 or below). The hand rip is not as big in Rush, barring making your opponent less likely to activate certain Traps with hand costs (most commonly Shiny Shady and Invitation to a Delirious Dream).
Crossroads is treated as Ritual in the GY, which lets it be recovered by Wanderer and Research.
So… what about Legend version of Zerato? No supports for it while it’s related to the lore of Zera?
I imagine it was ported before they began conceiving the Zera Rush theme. So while nothing says they couldn’t hypothetically find a way to tie in Darklord Zerato into the Zera Deck in the future, at the moment, they don’t seem to be fussed to try to. It’d probably be somewhat awkward, whatever they could do, anyway.
The main thing they could do for Darklord Zerato is print more DARK monsters with 1600 ATK, ultimately. Or more DARK Support monsters for the Deck.
Mazera would be cracked in the actual game.
