Heavy Polymerization seems kinda neat… but I am not sure what decks can put it to any real use yet. However the extra deck material bonus being limited to the opponent controlling monsters leaves me feeling this hurts to where it won’t really get used outside of wacky combo decks, which use stuff like Black Garden. I wish they would just allow normal Polymerization to be fully replaced already… instead of trying to force reasons for us to still consider playing it… sometimes power creep is for the better. xD
Maybe melodious can make something out of it, since the concerto can use the scales as material.
The idea is probably pure Lunalight, with Tiger being semi-limited in the banlist and wanting to OTK going 2nd. I don’t think the card adds enough to make blind 2nd Lunalight good but it’ll definitely make it fun
Something that stuck out to me is, you can use it to FTK yourself playing second with Ancient Gears.
If your opponent ends their turn with at least two monsters on board, you can banish two Chaos Giants from your extra, take 9000 damage on summon, and lose in record time.
So sad that reddit beat this by 4 days.

Justin Jones, there’s a store owner who posts sales numbers for card games in Japan on Twitter/X, I forget his name. Rush Duel has consistently been around number 10 in sales, which is essentially a success, I believe it may have jumped to 8 when the Over-Rush Rare Dark Magician Girl was released.

Heavy Poly is an Extra Fusion but with an unappealing downside.
Hopefully Extra Fusion will be officially released alongside Greiger’s last manga Fusion in this year’s Premium Pack.
Heavy Polymerization pretty much makes you use the original Chimera the Flying Mythical Beast in extra Deck + Illusions you have without needing a big Chimera package. Interesting for Illusion monster decks and other things for sure. Especially if you need room to spare and yes you lose 2100 life points but really I don’t see that as much of a problem right now unless you’re in late game
I’d rather just Summon Necroquip and Engraver for a High King Caesar/Use Debunk to counter Nibiru that use Theia to keep my Board.
Theia at least has the benefit of preventing your opponent from using Nibiru at all while its on the field, not just use Nibiru/Primal Token in order to destroy the other

Step 1: Synchro Summon it in a Mikanko deck in defense position
Step 2: Swap it with an opponent’s monster, preferably one that is endangering your back row strats
Step 3: Have your Mikanko monsters reach over and smash your opponent’s life points into the wall you just gave them
Step 4: Profit.
Alternatively, you can use its upon-destruction effect as an alternative Geonator for sending Acid Golem over

So can the Life Point drain on Heavy Poly be negated with Spell Economics or is this another case of the Dark Contract as in unless Oracle King d’Arc is on the field, you’re taking damage?
No, you can’t do either with Heavy Polymerization as you’re specifically “losing” LP, not “paying” them nor taking “damage” to them. It was worded as such just so you couldn’t get around it easily and potentially break it.
Theia can only tribute your own monsters, right?
Correct. If card instructs you to tribute monsters and doesn’t specify where from, then I’m pretty sure that always means from your monster zones.

What kind of good fusion monsters you can summon besides Naturia Exterio?
You can’t summon Naturia Exterio with it, since that requires only 2 materials. Stuff it can help summon include Phantasm Emperor Trilojig; The First Darklord; and Coordius the Triphasic Dealmon.

Heavy Polymerization seems very interesting but very niche. Really useful for helping to summon a few particular monsters, especially those that are able to banish low or 0 ATK monsters to avoid significant LP loss. If you really wanted, you could build around it to make it usable going first with something like Black Garden, but that would probably be rather inconsistent.
Funnily enough, there was already a TCG premiere fusion spell with the same restriction of needing 3+ materials, “Greater Polymerization”, but that gives the summoned monster some bonus effects instead of making it easier to summon.
The cards are interesting, the artwork is cool, and as usual the YGOrganization comments section continues to erode my faith in humanity.
No, the illustration of heavy polymerization is very ugly (that green and that ridiculous lighting, it was better when everything had its shadow and elegant darkness), a shame because the proposed effect and the name are incredible. But the new Nibiru is really incredible.
I immediately want the retrained version of one of the most beautiful monsters (in my top 8 favorites) Falcon of the Mist Valley, he is really beautiful, tell me to choose a single winged beast or wind monster, it will be him without thinking twice!
That green is really horrible, and it destroyed the rest of the illustration which was actually pretty cool, it could have been blood red or a dark yellow
I wish they would finish it in a hurry, because the effort that should have been put into the main game is going in a hurry, with terrible design and ugly art (in most cases). They’re wasting effort on this, it’s almost the end of the year and the number of cards released hasn’t reached 200 yet. They neglect legendary sets (pyramid of light, wicked gods) to free dumb girls (damn! I want something sexy! ha ha , but it’s true) Everyone wants to see the Egyptian gods!

For me, I see another easier way to summon Chaos Ancient Gear Giant. Using 1 – 3 Howitzer and some Ancient Gears from hand/field. Makes 1000 LP – 3000 LP lose but you gain da big guy.
