Creative Deck Profile: Odd-Eyes Magistus ft. Magistus Flame Zoroa

Swing into action with the magical touch of the new Magistus archetype, revitalizing this Pendulum theme!

Replays:

Strategic Summary:

Harness powers of destruction as the Odd-Eyes tutor endlessly from the Extra and Main decks, while the Magistus ensure a steady supply of Spellcasters to continue your domination over the duel! The available power of these two archetypes combines well, especially helping to unlock Link options such as Selene or Cross-Sheep. This gives you even more zones to Pendulum Summon back all of your monsters for future re-use. Finally, Duelist Alliance closes it out by giving premiere access to Pendulum Xyz (YGOrg Translation), letting you Xyz summon using your Pendulum Scales. If that doesn’t end the game, you can always rely on the helpful touch of Rune-Eyes Pendulum Dragon! Either way, the goal is simple – abuse the fact that Odd-Eyes can pull whatever card they need to the field or hand with ease. Whether it is Odd-Eyes Arc Pendulum Dragon, Spiral Flame Strike, Odd-Eyes Revolution Dragon, or Sky Iris, invoke whichever card you need for the right situation! For specific synergies, just use Magistus Master Endymion (YGOrg Translation) to destroy your Odd-Eyes cards to trigger Arc’s Pendulum effect and digging for alternative options. So why wait to combine two archetypes that utilize all Extra Deck Summoning mechanics – get out there and cast away!

Note: As many of these cards were recently revealed, most of the names used below are YGOrg translations of the OCG text. As these cards are also yet to be released even in the OCG or backed by official rulings, card interactions as they currently stand cannot be fully guaranteed. As always, I’ve provided links to the Yugipedia pages for all of the non-TCG cards in the decklist. Feel free to use those links to fully explore the Magistus archetype!

Second Note: In a different style from previous CDPs on new archetypes, this is intended to be my ‘creative’ take on the new upcoming Magistus archetype from Genesis Impactors. That said, it is not great at representing the strengths of that archetype alone, so expect me to return to the Magistus in the future for alternative variants that showcase this spellcasting band much better.
