CDP: Labrynth with Soul Resonator and Transaction Rollback

Get your Trap for any situation here!

Strategic Summary:

Welcome back to another profile, this time centered on an updated take of the Labrynth archetype, now featuring a few new tech choices. If you missed my last looks at the Labrynth theme, be sure to check them out here: Pure, Hybrids, and 60-card with Burning Abyss.

If you haven’t seen this archetype before, the Labrynth archetype features Fiend monsters that interact extremely well with their own Labrynth support cards, as well as any non-Labrynth Normal Trap card. Supporting this playstyle is a slew of helpful tech options, such as Temple of the Kings, which allows you to activate 1 Trap Card per turn the turn it is set. Another Trap support card making its debut on my channel is Wannabee!, a new LIGHT insect that allows you to Set a Trap Card from the top cards of your deck, just by sending it to the GY. This can really help jumpstart your turn, especially when going second. As for the brand new cards and impetus for the profile, the first is Soul Resonator (YGOrg Translation), from the upcoming Jack Atlas Structure Deck. Soul Resonator serves as a great replacement for Ariane the Labrynth Servant, as it removes the cost to tutor a Level 4 or lower Fiend from your Fiend from your deck. In addition, it is also a Tuner monster, unlocking threats for your deck such as Dark Highlander to shut down other Synchro strategies in their tracks. The final new card to highlight today is Transaction Rollback (YGOrg Translation), a card that has an on-field effect to copy the effect of a Normal Trap Card in the opponent’s GY. However, it’s true potential is found in its second effect, which lets you banish it from your GY to copy one of the Normal Traps in your GY. Combine this with the 36 other Normal Trap Cards featured in my build today, and you can very well make use of the half of your LP cost. Enter the Labrynth once again – there’s new toys to play with!
