Do you need a cold heart to resolve an Inferno Tempest on an unsuspecting opponent?

Strategic Summary:
Welcome to another profile, this time throwing the old troll card, Inferno Tempest, into Icejade for fun. The thought behind this combination is simple – Icejade Cenote Enion Cradle can be used to reduce a WATER monster’s ATK to 0, you can summon a Dogoran, the Mad Flame Kaiju to the opponent’s board, and voila, you have 3000 ATK and 0 ATK to meet the activation criteria of Inferno Tempest. Whenever that happens, all monsters in both decks get banished, opening the way for Iceajde Creation Aegirocassis (YGOrg Translation) to increase the ATK power of one of your Icejade monsters by a lot. And when I say a lot, I’m talking upwards of 16000 ATK, as Aegirocassis can equip itself to any Icejade monster to give it 400 ATK/DEF for each banished monster. Since this equipping is also a Quick Effect, there’s a good chance your opponent won’t see it coming, making for a great surprise OTK and watching the wave of realization wash over their face.
All that said, the Icejade archetype offers more than just being a one-trick-pony. With the help of Icejade Kosmochlor and Icejade Curse, you can easily freeze your opponent out of activating monster effects on the field entirely. Combine that with Icejade Creation Kingfisher to bounce your opponent’s threats, and this theme gives you complete control over the board. However, complete control may not be enough, and sometimes, you may need to resort to extra destruction. In that case, I figured why not throw some Omega Judgment into the mix, it’s a relatively recent TCG World Premiere that destroys a Monster Card in your S/T zone and 2 cards your opponent controls. Since Aegirocassis can equip itself from the hand or GY during either player’s turn, this condition is easily met, letting you Salvage the situation and erode away your opponent’s board. Finally, did I mention that Aegirocassis is a Level 7 Tuner? This means that you can even unlock Swordsoul Supreme Sovereign – Chengying in Icejade decks now, giving you even more of a reason to want to banish a ton of cards. Freeze out your opponent with the help of Supreme Sea Mare… then burn them with an Inferno Tempest!
