Creative Deck Profile: Morphtronic Gizmos, Legend of Celfon

Phone a friend for some help with your Transformation!

Strategic Summary:

Welcome back for another new profile, this time diving into the wonders of the Morphtronic archetype! The Morphtronic deck was piloted by Leo in the 5Ds anime, and its central theme was that all of its monsters had different effects based on their battle positions. While that generally meant that one of the two effects was significantly better than the other, we can still make good use of some of their many unique cards today! This all starts with Morphtronic Celfon, who can use its effect to roll a die while in ATK position to look at the top cards of your deck, equal to your diceroll. If you spot a Morphtronic, Celfon can tutor it straight to your field ignoring summoning conditions. On the other hand, Morphtronic Smartfon has a similar effect, just adding any revealed Morphtronic card to hand instead!

With Celfon, one great option would be Morphtronic Vacuumen, which can equip an opponent’s monster to it while in defense position, offering non-destruction monster removal! With Smartfon, your best option is tutoring a Morphtronic Repair Unit, letting you cycle another round of Celfon and hopefully get another free summon. If you’re wondering where the consistency comes in for today’s build, I’d suggest looking towards the second engine at play, the Gizmeks! With Gizmek Naganaki, the Rooster of Remarkable Revelry (YGOrg Translation) tutoring Celfon straight from the deck, you have a ton of ways to start off your chain of telephone. And, if you are so lucky, you can even get all 10 summons for yourGizmek Myth – Khronicles of the Klockwork Kreatures of the Kami (YGOrg Translation) Field spell to prevent your opponent’s monsters from activating their effects on the field, since Vacuumen, Celfon, Smartfon, and even Morphtronic Videon are Machines that have the same ATK/DEF! Dial up some help with these Gizmektronics!

Note: This is continuing the style of Creative Deck Profile articles, designed to showcase a build through replays and an attached summary. If you wish to see a CDP for an archetype, theme, or strategy you love, feel free to private message me on the YGOrg Discord server, the comments section of any of my YouTube videos, or just post a comment in response to this article on our Facebook page with your ideas to keep under consideration! On most YGO-related communities my username is Quincymccoy, so feel free to reach out. Current pending requested profiles include: Triamid, Shaddoll, Dragunity, Ghostrick. Some of my prior requests was covered by participants in CDSS5, and some others were covered by CDSS6, so I highly suggest checking those out and subscribing for all of my latest profiles on YouTube!

If you are wondering why there was such a long gap between my profiles, I am currently slowing down my profiles for the summer due to extraordinary life circumstances. But I will aim to at least publish one per week, so hopefully I can still peak your interests with a few creative decks here and there! Thanks for your understanding.
