Roller Coasters are an Art Form, right?

Strategic Summary:
Welcome to today’s Creative Deck Profile, and this time we have another 60-card deckbuild that probably throws too many things together, but it somehow works. Let’s start with the Amazement and Attraction archetypes, since they were the impetus for putting the build together. Led by Amazement Abomination Arlekino and Amazement Administrator Arlekino, this theme leverages Attraction Normal Traps that Equip themselves either to an Amazement monster you control or an opponent’s monster, granting a different effect depending on what it is equipped to. For example, Amaze Attraction Horror House offers a targeted monster negate when equipped to your monster, but when it is equipped to your opponent’s, it can flip the equipped monster face-down. Since they are Normal Traps, they also synergize well with Lady Labrynth of the Silver Castle, letting you generate even more card advantage while controlling the duel with Traps. But Traps alone aren’t enough to win the duel, so let’s talk about the monster-based engines backing them up.
First up is the P.U.N.K. archetype, loudly and proudly jumping into the fray with both of their new QCTB support cards. You may already know the P.U.N.K. engine better for its ability to setup The Zombie Vampire quite easily, but it can do more than that now with the addition of Noh-P.U.N.K. Rising Scale (YGOrg Translation), a Level 8 WATER Sea Serpent that Special Summons itself from the hand by banishing another P.U.N.K. card from your GY and that Special Summons a non-Level 8 P.U.N.K. from your Deck or GY on summon. This enables you to run the full P.U.N.K. engine, from Joruri-P.U.N.K. Madame Spider and her Joruri-P.U.N.K. Dangerous Gabu to Gagaku-P.U.N.K. Wa Gon and her P.U.N.K. JAM Extreme Session. Add in their new R8NK Xyz Monster, P.U.N.K. JAM FEVER! (YGOrg Translation), and you’ll be drawing even more cards! All of this draw and mill power leads great into the final theme of today’s build, the Phantom Knight archetype. This theme of Level 3 DARK monsters also dabbles in the Trap space, setting Traps like Phantom Knights’ Fog Blade to equip to an opponent’s monster and negate its effects. Since most of the Phantom Knight cards also have GY effects, the mills from the P.U.N.K. engine can even be leveraged further for your benefit, allowing you to generate absurd card advantage in all aspects of the game! Hope you enjoyed my ‘Amaze’-ing build, and be sure to leave your thoughts/requests in the comments below!

Rlly good build!
Lady labrynth always has the potential to be broken, Paleo lab or Dinomorphia usually.
I like how a lesser-known deck like Amazement is finally seeing some love, especially with Lady lab, taking advantage of all the Normal Traps that Amazement has.
Awww thank you, glad you enjoyed it!
Hey Quincy! Quick question. Do you think a Thunder Dragon/Maliss deck could work?
Wouldn’t that be difficult cause of the lock?
Maliss doesn’t work out so well with non-Link exclusive themes.
Also, ive always thought that Thunder Dragon is a bit of an inconsistent win-more addition to any hybrid build, if it isn’t the star of the deck.
huh… didn’t realize there was a lock. I was just looking at the cards mainly to see if there was any type restrictions, and Maliss didn’t have any, so getting DNA Surgery out set to Thunder I felt was a way around some of the limitations on Thunder Dragons needing Thunder monsters.
I was just mainly looking for something new (preferrably non Cyberse), because any time I try to come up with a Maliss deck, I end up defaulting to adding Firewall and Link Talker, and the only other banish focused archetype I could think of was Thunder Dragon.
