I hope you’re ready for an evolutionary regression!
葬角のカルノヴルス Soukaku no Carnovorus (Burial Bicorn Carnovorus)
Note: This is a play on 双角 (two horns, i.e. bicorn), but the two has been replaced with Burial.
Also it’s named after the Carnotaurus, a theropod dinosaur from the late Cretaceous.
This new Synchro is cited to work very well with “Jurrac”.
Reveal date was not listed on the images provided.

Konami needs to stop making dinosaur monsters that barely look like dinosaurs. This looks like a spirit or something. Its so much more badass when they actually look like dinosaurs!
Looks like a dino to me
It’s a giant dinosaur-looking lizard.
Unless you are one of these smarass guys screeching about how dinosaurs are actually big birds and have feathers then lol, lmao – nobody cares what scientists say, Dinosaurs are giant, scaly reptiles in popular culture.
Its a dinosaur with bull horns, likely a play on the taurus part of carnotaurus. Its name also likely plays on the carno part, by making it sound like Carnivorous
I mean, are you surprised? It took them until more or less the very second instance of creating Illusion monsters for them to ditch the indestructible identity of the type.
How do you know what a dinosaur looks like? We’re you alive when they were around??
Dude, shut up
@JD Smarter people than you (who know the difference between were and we’re) try to tell you what dinosaurs used to look like. Too bad you’re not smart enough to care.
how did i know someone was just gonna find some reason to hate this thing? no effect revealed, not even a clear enough picture yet, and here it is. Someone ready to start whining that this thing in a fantasy setting doesnt look enough like “real dinosaurs”.
We need Jurassic Heart from the anime. It’s a good genetic counter trap for Dinos.
Miscellaneoussurus: Am I a joke to you?
What is the point of playing dinos in today’s format if it is still a 2-card combo that can be easily interrupted?
same reason people play any deck that isnt Yubel or Tenpai dragons?
It’s okay, dinobros. We will survive until dinowrestler supports come!
I want Hasselberry support that makes “Tyranno” an archetype already.
Meta brainrot at its finest
@ehs
I played for the win, not losing. What is fun if you barely win the game with your favorite deck? That is why i want 1 card starter for dino
Backwards thinking. We need to stop printing one card combos, it’s boring.
As a “Bicorn” Synchro it should have prioritized working with the Bicorn deck from 5Ds. Man, 5Ds can’t catch a single break this year.
FACTS
I had the same thought on seeing its name and the Synchro frame. But it’s fine as the Team Unicorn deck also has Unicorns and Tricorns.
Team Unicorn deck is three decks. The Unicorn deck. The Bicorn deck. And the Tricorn deck. The synchros do work together and they know their teamwork. But they are also 3 separate decks on their own. Just like the Nordic decks. I wish they’d get support and treated as their own decks for both Team Unicorn and Team Ragnarok.
What am I even looking at?
a carnivore dinosaur with bull horns
Looks like destrudo
Considering most of the new Jurrac cards support their own archetype more than Dino soup hopefully this card is still good for them
In regards to how you romanized the Japanese name, is the ヴ kana occasionally represented in English as “vo”? I’ve only ever seen it represented as “vu” unless paired with オas ヴォ.
Otherwise, I was thinking the ヴル in カルノヴルス is also a wordplay on “bull” with a v consonant (ヴル/ブル) to emphasize the Taurus part more.
It turns into a Wu/Bou/Vo-ish sound.
A demonic spirit dinosaur. How creative.
-works well with Jurracs
-lv 6 synchro
– it’s not a Jurrac
Reeeeee
