The player has to take 3 Elemental Hero and/or Neo-Spacian monsters instead of any three monsters. The rest stays the same with the possibility of a Neos mention to make it searchable.
For those who don’t know, this is what the card does in the anime: “Each player selects 3 Monster Cards from their Deck, then each player simultaneously reveals 1 of the cards among them. At that time, the player who reveals a monster with lower ATK than their opponent’s takes 500 damage and sends that card to the Graveyard, while the player who reveals a monster with higher ATK adds that card to their hand. (If both of them have the same ATK, both cards are sent to the Graveyard.) After repeating this effect 3 times, destroy this card.”
Yoooooooooo this is insanely good with masked hero fountain and shadowmist

It being a Continuous Spell was just for it’s final text that said it’s effect could be activated 3 times(one time per turn) before self-destructing. But the duel didn’t last past the turn this card was activated, so that part of the card’s effect was there for no narrative reason to begin with. In this case, changing it to a Normal spell does nothing to disrupt the purpose of its use in the anime duel.
Jaden bit the bullet, choosing low ATK monsters and taking the damage just so he could put specific monsters in the GY for the Miracle Fusion and Miracle Contact in his hand to benefit from.
While it’s face up on the field, Magma Neos gains 400 Atk points per his effect, thats why they keep that part of the text on the anime

I forgot about Magma’s effect. Maybe this card will have an effect that keeps it on the field until the end of the turn? Or maybe it can be Banished from GY to increase a Fusion monster’s ATK by 400.

Kind of interesting card. We have handful of these “game withing the game” cards but most of them are very old, clunky and not worth playing. This one has some potential due to how graveyard-centric the game is – very often players will be fighting over who can reveal the monster with lowest ATK to setup further plays.
While I’m curious what they intend to do with this, depending on that, this becoming a Normal Spell might be stronger than if it remained a Continuous Spell.
Except it’s extremely unreliable because it depends heavily on your opponent’s choices. Based on their readings of what you plan to do, they may leave you with three garnets in hand or cards that you actually wanted there going straight to GY… and maybe just maybe setting their own plays in the process.
It will be a high-risk, high-reward card if it will be released with effect similar to it’s anime counterpart. Absolutely backbreaking if properly resolved but too inconsistent to see any serious play.

Oh the one that may or may not have actually happened
I’ve actually wanted this
EVERYONE IS HERE
I dare Konami to print Code Change. The ruling nightmares on that one card alone 😆.
It would probably let you change the Monster type of any monster in your hand, field or GY methinks.
Also Konami reprint Mystical Refpanel or give us a retrain.
YES! Not matter how…. Finally!
I’m guessing they’re going with a straight-up anime card to tie in with the Limit Over Collection.
It should have been Charmer card… I know Gagagigo is there but I want an actual card for the archetype.

Thank you for adding this in.

All this does is make me remember main deck Chaos Solider and Valkyrion, shameful!
Speaking of the last match of “GX,” Dimension Explosion has never been reprinted and you know why.
painful choice all over again
Don’t you mean it was a cont spell and is now a normal?
If it is like the anime it will be too broken ’cause it can be a generic ROTA x3 or a triple foolish burial for the cost of 1500 LP
