Aleister has Unsealed the Power of Fiction!

Strategic Summary:
Today’s CDP features the return of the new and improved Invoked theme, now that we’ve gotten a glimpse into the future of the theme’s new follow-up support cards from the Beyond the Brave set, coming in a few months to the TCG. If you missed my first take on the new Invoked stuff, be sure to check that out here first: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KCiY2bWN4I8 . Now that you’re back, I’m going to start with the new cards. First up on the docket is Invocation – “Chalice” (YGOrg Translation), a new Normal Spell that can Fusion Summon any Invoked using a monster from your hand/field and Deck, or a by using 1 monster you control and 1 the opponent controls. This versatility gives you even more disruptive ways to mess with the opponent, beyond just banishing material from their GY for the standard Invocation Fusion Summon. As for what you can summon, a great option is Invoked Dee Anima (YGOrg Translation), a new Level 8 Fusion Monster. This DARK Fiend, when Special Summoned, either destroys all S/Ts the opponent controls or all monsters Special Summoned from the Extra Deck, in addition to being able to negate an opponent’s GY effect and summon an Aleister monster from the deck.
Beyond these two new cards, there’s also a few notable off-theme additions to this strategy, and first up is the TCG WP Fusion Monster, Mixousia the Confounder. Released in CORI, this Spellcaster fusion is not only made with any Spellcaster and non-Spellcaster, but it also can Fusion Summon during the opponent’s Main Phase by banishing material from the GY as well as itself. This is a great way to bring out Hyperinvoked Aeon during the opponent’s turn, plus it is another excellent Super Polymerization target for the deck. The last new card to highlight is a new Spell Counter support card – Spell Power Attainment (YGOrg Translation) – which is a Quick-Play Spell that tutors any card that mentions Spell Counters, and if you happen to have Endymion, the Mighty Master of Magic (the one big Endymion monster I play in here), you also can trade any number of Spell Counters to negate and destroy that many face-up cards the opponent controls.
So that’s a great start to Endymion cards, but what really does an Endymion engine add to this deck? Well, Servant of Endymion is your best search target, since it eventually leads to getting you a free Spellcaster to leverage as Link Material, in addition to an S/T negate in Mighty Master. Or, you can go the route of Spell Power Mastery, which lets you access Endymion Empire and Regulus, the Prince of Endymion. Once BETB arrives to the TCG, you’ll also be able to leverage Verre, the Maid of Endymion as well, all of which lend themselves to this turbo-Spellcaster pile. And since this new-Endymion engine primarily consists of Level 4 monsters, you can turn any 2 of them into Fairy Tail – Wiccat, unlocking the last major archetype in this hybrid. You see, Wiccat sends Fairy Tail – Matchgiru to the GY as well as Tails of the Fairy Tails, which then leads to the Normal Summon of Fairy Tail – Luna, a free Genia of the Ring, the Fusion Summon of Weaver of Fairy Tails, a free Fairy Tail – Snow from the deck, and multiple negates through Weaver and Fairy Tail Ball. While this engine does lock you into Spellcasters, have no fear – it is entirely meant as a follow-up to your Invoked plays, so you shouldn’t be able to inadvertently lock yourself out of the duel. With all that said, take on the Fusion world with the help of the Invoked and Aleister themes!
