Are Charmers strong enough for a second Structure Deck?
“THE CHRONICLES DECK: Spirit Charmers” will go on sale January 24th, 2026, and is a new kind of pre-constructed Deck to let players enjoy the world of “Spirit Charmers”, who will be the focus of the third series of “Yu-Gi-Oh! CARD GAME THE CHRONICLES” promotional animated shorts.
This card not only contains core characters (i.e. monsters) from “Spirit Charmers” and their related Spell & Trap Cards, but there will be 4 cards reprinted with brand new artwork depicting the world and lore of the “Spirit Charmers” and two completely brand new cards.

Long ago, I always thought the EARTH Charmer was a dude, until they buffed her
they buffed her the most
Dark Charmer is male (also an amputee which is pretty nice representation)

I hope they make it actually playable by todays standards

A link1 spellcaster that grabs a 1500/200 monster with the same attribute as a spellcaster in grave and sets up ichirin/unpossessed. That would solve about 40% of the deck’s issues. Youre also forgetting there will also be other support cards in the core booster sets just like with branded
Honestly, I don’t think it’s a bad idea to give the Charmers new cards. They’ve always been semi-generic and haven’t delved much into their story
All them already have alt art, why not give them new CARDS instead, they need it so much

Hopefully, the few cards that we receive here will allow the Deck to be at least somewhat consistent (or have a clear strategy)
Just give them wand equip spells that let you activate their Spiritual (specific element) Art cards from the hand. 😛
I’d rather play each charmer as a separate deck rather than Konami keep trying to squash them all into a single deck when being together was never part of their core concept and there’s like maybe 3 cards that works with all of them together but not in a cohesive strategy, just benefiting any of them.
Man, and here I am waiting on Dharc alt art, his raging and Channeler version. Same for Lyna, except she already has an alt art. Oh yeah, and they also have that form with their charmer’s that summon themselves from the deck.

So, are we not getting a core set in January 2026? Are we also not getting a December 2025 OCG holiday product? What the hell is OCG doing?

Another Charmer deck, are you kidding me?! I suppose the deck after that will be Blue-Eyes themed again, because adding new support for popular themes is all Konami can do these days.
I feel there could be a few ways to expand a Pure Charmer deck. Those Spiritual Art searchers don’t say Traps, so you could make Spells with the same branding. Maybe Extra Deck monsters that have the Charmers team up (either Fusion, Xyz, or Link).
I’m pretty sure that one of the reprints will be Dark Spirit Art – Greed. Or maybe Dharc will get a proper Spiritual Art, because Greed is kinda meh.
The chronicles anime is only showcasing the original 4. The original structure deck didn’t focus on Luna and Dharc either.
@scionstorm – we don’t know what will be in full episode and if there will be more than one episode. We may get animated story of how Dharc and Lyna were introduced.
I was going to say “it wasn’t THAT long the last Charmer deck was released right?” Then I checked, and it was 5 years ago… Time sure flies. Even so, it still feels a bit too soon for another one unless they plan to REALLY switch it up this time, but I have my doubts they will, and it probably won’t be a good deck yet again.
Surely there was some other similar enough card theme they could had done instead… Maybe a Tour Guide From the Underworld themed deck, they actually did consider doing that one years ago during a online voting poll event.
Oh, if the 2 new cards end up being a channeler version of Dharc & Lyna, then that would be pretty crazy I think! Obviously they haven’t done it until now because easily searching for any dark or light monster is kinda busted. Just those 2 cards would sell the deck alone I bet.

Also, this deck is being made because of the Chronicles anime since it will change focus from Branded to Charmers in December.

It has been a long time, but I thought the voters picked Shaddolls & Ice Barriers as their top picks back then? I think Charmers was in 3rd place maybe, but not sure now.
I really hope they make new versions of the 4 elemental possesed main deck monsters
The dark and light familiar possessed ones already have somewhat good effects, but the other 4 are just “tribute 2 for a bad piercing beatstick”, which absolutely doesnt work out, no matter how much support they get
Love the charmer’s they are such cool group of monsters and I always try to collect them all
My kingdom for a payoff for summoning Familiar-Possessed from the main deck!
