Basically:
– BLS joined forces with Gaia to reinforce that they’re the same Monster. At the same time, they brought in some outside friends to create a Deck.
– After the success of Meeeg-chan’s Anime, Chupataro received an award: the Meeeg-chan Maximum (he still can’t get over the fact that Meeeg-chan was translated as Miss Mutton).
– Cosmos Princess took inspiration from Persona 5: now she’s The Fool.

BLS having a Gaia ritual supporter makes sense but Swordrider reminds me of Dokurorider.
That’s a creative way to make Effect monster retrains of the classic Wooly Wonderland monsters. By having them cross over to a parallel world.
Miss Mutton’s Maximum L/R pieces can be treated as vanillas and Miss Mutton in the GY. I wonder how this will work in real life.
Cosmo Princess using Fusion makes sense since she is combining planets together.

Dokuroride, Chaosrider Gustav, and Discblade Rider. I always wanted of these “rider” themed cards. I hoping Dokuroeidwr will get the same treatment Skull Guardian got.
I suspect part of the gimmick for Black Luster Soldier’s support wave is it’ll be based on Invasion of Chaos.
There’s already a few cards in TCG/OCG that already treat themselves as Normal Monsters, excluding Geminis of course. It shouldn’t be too hard.
So we finally got them in Rush. Would be nice if LIGHT Galaxy got some of those.

We could always get both. Like, Zera Ritual and Zera Advent both debuted in the same pack.
It’ll be in, they probably just didn’t think it was worth it as a discussion point.
Like many of the Rush redraws, the art of Black Luster Soldier here looks off, besides some other small stuff, mainly it is too brightly colored, which loses some of the cool element. Probably would had ended up better if it just had a whole new art like Dedicated Gaia here did, which looks better done by comparison IMO.

I don’t know how I feel about us both completely independently of one another coming up with the name ‘Wooly Wunderworld’, but it pains me regardless.
Well, according to the first Japanese translations, they called the Deck “Ewekai/Sheep World.” The dub went in favor of the translation “Wooly Wonderland”
The new support, if the Japanese version had been kept, would have been called “Baaahtherside,” and, taking the dub into account, the English translation would have been something like “Wooly Wunderworld”
Honestly, I’m not too bothered by the change. However, losing Meeeg-chan to Miss Mutton feels worse.
The Japanese term for this new line of cards is ‘Mee~kai’, which is a clear play on the word ‘meikai’ (meaning ‘the underworld’).
Wonderland > Wunderworld is the very obvious play here. I just hate that I thought of it.
