Much closer to the release date of Maze of the Master, FGO.

Like 2 weeks before it’s release with Influencer Reveals.
It only took Summoned Skull more than 20 Years to gather an army of Archfiends to finally show the power of the DARK Fiends.
Gathering the army with Archfiend’s Summoning Flute, training several Archfiend Warrior and Rogue of Archfiend, having magical artifacts like Class-Change Mirror and gaining allies of interest with the Dead Fiend’s Monsters.
Perhaps the funniest thing is that the strategy is a reference to how Otes used Summoned Skull in SEVENS.
What is the point of the level decreasing effect on one of these?
It’s because of Skull Archfiend of Confusion and, to a lesser extent, Dead End the Mad Fiend of Despair.
In Rush Duels, many of the Fusion Monsters are usually Level 9 or higher (Contact Fusion Monsters are Level 8 in most cases)
Therefore, lowering their Levels allows them to be vulnerable to its Effects.
So you can use Skull Archfiend of Confusion to take control of your opponent’s Level 9+ monsters. Alternatively, you can destroy those same monsters with Dead End, the Mad Fiend of Despair, who also only targets Level 8 or lower.
Makes higher Level monsters more vulnerable to various effects that only affect Level 8 or lower monsters. Basically Maximums (Level 10 on average), Fusions (Level 9-10 on average), and whatever future Rituals are Level 9-10.
Many of these cards support only DARK Fiend and/or Summoned Skull by name, making them clumsy to include in existing Red-Eyes builds, though you can include a handful of the existing library (Black Knight, Moon, Meteor Flare Fusion, Dead Line and Dead End, and Ecliceras) into this upcoming variant.
I appreciate the lower level monsters maintaining hand advantage while filling up your GY with Class Change Mirror and Ecliceras targets.
I’d like to have more cards which can recover the Summoned Skull related Spells and Traps from GY.
I mean sure there’s Royal Rebels possibly use these, but still.
Finally a Boss Monster that doesn’t gain attack or attack multiple times.
(i know there’s others but we know they are like the 10% of Rush Boss Monsters)
Summoned Skull has almost as much support as Red Eyes.
