Sadly, characters from VRAINS and SEVENS (and certain ARC-V characters) are not included.
APMEX have unveiled their latest set of collectable silver coins, this time based on female Duelists from the first five Yu-Gi-Oh! series’. Each coin is 39 mm/1.5 in. and as with APMEX’s other Yu-Gi-Oh! coins, can be used as legal tender in Niue, for $2 NZD.
There are ten characters represented across these coins. Their names in English and Japanese are inscribed on the colourised side of the coin:
- Téa Gardner/Anzu Mazaki
- Mai Valentine/Mai Kujaku
- Ishizu Ishtar
- Alexis Rhodes/Asuka Tenjoin
- Akiza Izinski/Aki Izayoi
- Luna/Ruka
- Rio Kastle/Rio Kamishiro
- Anna Kaboom/Anna Kozuki
- Zuzu Boyle/Yuzu Hiiragi
- Allie/Ayu Ayukawa

Just remembered how much I hate the dub names, especially “Zuzu”.
So trash, and often so pointless.
No franchise from Japan ever slowed down cuz kids had to learn Japanese names.

GX: Camula, Tania, Mizuchi, or Rei
5D’s: Sherry, Carly, or Misty
Zexal: Cat, Kotori or Droite
Arc-V: Serena, Ruri, Rin, Ray, or Mieru
Vrains: Aoi, Ema, Queen, Kyoko, or Pandor
And a LOT of good female duelist fron Sevens and Go Rush

Sevens: Romin, Asana, Mimi, Yuka, Tiger, Ranze, Princess G
Go Rush: Yuamu, Dark Meister (I know but she’s separate enough), Nyandestar, Rovian, Asaka, Epoch, Ranran, MAYBE Damamu if you want to stretch the genderless part
They only make merchandise for popular characters. Nobody watched Vrains or Rush/Sevens.
Sevens / Go Rush suck lol. Total insults to the franchise.
The only great female duelist are from rush
@Huluu. I don’t think popularity is the reason here because otherwise GX would have more than one Female Character (since they do have a choice), Zexal’s Female Lead would be here too (but she wasn’t chosen) and Arc-V had plenty of options to choose from if they wanted more popular Female Duelists.
Not to mention I wouldn’t call Arc-V popular even in today’s times (I still see a lot of people who despise that series)
@Naransolongo_BB. Poor Yuna, I always find her to be the forgotten one when mentioning GO RUSH’s Female Characters (when she is one of the few Female Characters who had the most growth/change during the series)
Vrains waifu are meh….. i mean blue angel 2nd design might be good but still not worth for advertising. Rush ? Who needs lolis waifu smh

You say it sucks and and an insult, yet Rush consistently be in the top 10 card game in Japan.
So clearly, the people of the country where this franchise originates from, likes Rush.

I could go on about these choice, but I feel like anyone who’s watched even a little anime can break this one down pretty easy.
Of course lets sell the one Arc-V kid who was never relevant to the plot over, I dunno, the other main female protag? The rest of the Yuzu counterparts that were recently added to DL? Literally ANY character that actually did something in that damned show?
Typing this out I realized how few girls are actually in Arc-V but there’s still plenty of better choices than the child.
In fact, Arc-V does have a lot of Female Characters to choose from. The surprise here is seeing that they chose Allie over all the more recurring or main Female Characters (even Masumi would have been a more correct choice than Allie)
