Sigh….should’ve made them contact fusion at the very least, man what a shame. So much for any charmer potential. Fun tier it is 🗑

        Good for you.

I mean, you say this, but I’m tempted to believe that there is at least some benefit to — as opposed to Contact Fusion — being able to make this off the Charmer Spellbook that fuses, since the opponent won’t be able to respond to her effect if you do (if I remember the Spell’s effect right) and you’ll be able to keep mats enough for her off the book’s initial effect even if you throw two of the Charmers back into the Deck.

Sure, Charmer IS probably still a for-fun deck unless someone manages to pull some insanity off, I don’t think there was any question about that, but it does feel worth saying that this is probably better the way it is than it would’ve been if it was a Contact Fusion dealie.

What’s wrong about fun tier? Why does everything have to be tier 0 meta? Just cuz its fun so it’s “🗑️” apparently according to you?

    2. N on February 6, 2026 10:23 pm

Materials and both effects make this card useful in several types of Decks – aside from Charmer, also Dracotail, Windwitch, and Invoked
It’s also a decent Instant or SPoly target

For a VJMP promo this is really good

I guess it could be a good Super Poly target against Powerful Wind decks.

        “how does majespecter make this”

Well, it’s a bit of a long shot, but they could possibly use any means of Fusion Summoning that is capable of generically making a fusion of two monsters on account of being WIND Spellcasters.

Now, would they want to adjust their decklist to include something like that, that’s the question, and . . . I dunno, I don’t know what they wanna run or not. But it certainly wouldn’t be hard for them to do it, I’ll give them that.

IMO Charmers could be a fun Spellcaster version of Heros if they focused more on Fusions.

So a raiza ? and a mind control ? I mean, this is not bad, but it is not crazy ? I like it personally I find it a really solid card, just too situational

I wonder if eria will get a fusion too

So, going off of this, the rest of the fusions will have the same First effect, but wth their corresponding attributes, and their second effect will be a better version of the corresponding Spiritual Art trap card.
Just a shame that they can’t contact fusion.

Interesting that she’s breaking a chain in her art. I wonder if its anyway connected to Lyna or Dharc

I really didn’t expect the Change of Heart; the second effect would be fine if it were generic or at least included the clause that they must be a spellcaster (I’m aware it wasn’t done for the sake of flavor text, but still)

I was right to an extent, while it doesn’t have a hydradrive attribute negation effect, it is a valid super poly target, we might want to be weary if we get a fusion per attribute.

If they make one for each element then fusion gate would go hard in that deck especially with the spell book card. It’s a solid effect with super poly. Just imagine you droll them when your going second then on your turn summon veiler and they are playing radiant. You use super poly to get rid of a monster then put back droll to permanently take control of their monster. Or Draco tail and a wind monster. Now spell casters and dragons are horrible because they are easy super poly targets. I won’t be surprised if they limit or semi limit super poly

I don’t think super Poly will get hit like it was, but if we take “Possessed Resonance – Wynn” as a example of what to expect then these “Possessed” fusion’s don’t have any atk/def that is notable to anything we normally play since most have a min of 2500+, buy if we take our examples effects into account as well, then it’s a problem since you could dispose of a minimum of 6 cards, but would leave your field wide open to retaliation from your opponent since your own field would be empty of monsters.
And this is just a personal opinion but if Charmers get a card like “Ancient Gear Fortress” a spell that makes every card in the ancient gear archetype a spell speed 4, thenit might make Charmers actually dangerous.

“place them on the bottom of the Deck”

Considering this is a WINDy thing there is open design space to differentiate the other fusion(?) Possessed Resonance(s). Just have to wait till 2030 to maybe complete the cycle.

I don’t see why they thought it was necessary to make it so you can’t use both effects in the same turn. It’s not like using both you make it super overpowered, as there are plenty of cards that do more than this without that restriction. Oh well…

      • Baroque on February 7, 2026 3:09 am

I’m pretty sure they did that so that someone couldn’t just, like, Super Poly someone unlucky enough to have a WIND and a Spellcaster (or even WIND Spellcasters) to get rid of two monsters, steal another, and then in the same turn spin the Fusion and yet another enemy card for a total three things lost and one stolen off a single Super Poly in a single turn.

(That and as encouragement to make this on your own turn, such as with the Charmer Spellbook that just hands you the mats and lets you get the steal off uninterrupted.)

Sure, there’s worse things that can happen to someone, especially off a Super Poly, but you gotta admit doing that with THIS and even getting the Fusion back in the Extra Deck to potentially do it again would kinda start feeling a bit Mario Kart-y. It’s at least not a nerf that’s going to severely negatively impact the card’s use, if nothing else?

I suspect it’s overcompensation for being a promotional card. A way to keep scalpers in check

And we’re back to Charmers as made for independent Attribute decks. Well, that didn’t take long.

I still want Wand equip spell for each Charmer that lets you activate their attribute Spiritual Art cards from the hand.

This is… good. Can be played in Charmer deck but obviously will show most of it’s power in dedicated Spellcaster/WIND (Windwitch?) deck and as Super Poly target.
