ROTA has abyss in its name, just like ABYR, the 1st mermail set, abyss- also being the name of mermail’s S/T subarchetype.
We’re also still waiting for an eventual Atlantean structure deck R which should have come last year but was supposedly delayed to leave room for Fire King & the fire year.
If Mermail / Atlantean must have new support it’s now or never.
Likely just Mermail support. They consist of Fish, Sea-Serpent and Aqua monster. Those are also the same group of types that several of the new Shark support cards cover.
Atlanteans are pure Sea-Serpent. Aside from Kai-Ryushin, they are the only pure Sea-Serpent archetype that exists in the game. Since we’re getting a regular structure deck in the fall SD spot, we may end up getting the Atlantean deck in the winter SD release spot (December).
