This is the rabbit that’ll pierce the heavens!
STORY AND ILLUSTRATIONS NUMBER 05
Centur-Ion
The Centur-Ia Empire, due to the impact of a massive magical meteorite, grew both in prosperity but also became threatened by the shadowy evil known as “Shade”. This is the story of a rookie knight, her squire, and a magical cavalry known as a ‘Golem’, who fight together against the Shade.
Centur-Ia: The Nation Of Falling Stars
Due to the massive magical meteorite that fell from the stars long ago, the Empire developed a remarkable civilization centered around magical ores. However, it wasn’t just blessings that the magical ore brought. On the areas of land where the ore had been scattered to, even the shadows created by their glittering brilliance was charged with magical power, and these shadows eventually transformed into “Shades”: monsters that absorbed that darkness. These monsters constantly shake the peace and tranquility of the Empire. The Empire, which has experienced outbreaks of these Shades, that can shape-shift at will like shadows, strengthened its military forces in order to protect the populace from any possible situation. Their knightly order branched out into various divisions to accommodate the threat of the Shades, each becoming their own independent unit.
Centur-Ion Primera
A rookie knight assigned to the “Heavy Cavalry”. She is very protective of her partner, Trudea, and their vehicle, Emeth VI. This team has the determination to become stronger and stronger. Perhaps because she’s so short, she has a habit of pointing to the heavens.
Centur-Ion Trudea
She is not a human being, but a descendant of the “Spirit of Fire”: an entity created by the glow and shine of the magical ore. She is also the one Primera deploys to activate their magical cavalry machine, the Golem. However, she gets along with Primera on equal terms, both as a friend and partner. Their bond is the real deal, and maybe due to her influence, she has an extravagant and pure disposition, even among the usually obedient spirits.
Emblema Oath
Primera: a small girl of whom people often bad mouth behind her back. Trudea, who tries to cheer her up. Together, they proposed forming a team with Emeth VI.
“We’ll aim for the top with this team! And become the strongest knights!”
Primera and Trudea whole-heartedly believed in this goal. Emeth IV, who is supposed to be a golem of few words, seems to be proud of the Emblema emblazoned on its left shoulder, illuminated by the setting sun.
Primera, a rookie knight of the “Centur-Ia Heavy Cavalry”, currently protects the western lands of the Empire, who along with her partner, the squire and irreplaceable friend Trudea, launched their first attack against the looming threat of the Shade.
Centur-Ion Emeth VI
The sixth gen Ground Combat Magical Cavalry, Emeth, was deployed to Primera. According to Primera “This guy’s different from the others!”.

TL note: The meteorite that strikes Centur-Ia is a “magical” (魔) meteorite. The “Shade” is written as 影魔 (shadow + magical), force-read as “Shade”.
In the introduction, Trudea is called a “squire” to Primera. “Squire” is written as “従騎士” (juukishi), which is the title Trudea has in her name, but the card name force-reads this word as “Centur-Ion”.
“Golem” is written as 魔導騎兵 (madou kihei, magical cavalry). The two latter kanji are present in Emeth VI’s title in its name (重騎兵, heavy cavalry).
Primera arrives on the battlefield in high spirits. However, after several hours, something unexpected happened in the midst of the battle: The appearance of a new type of Shade that had never appeared in these past decades. Also, several powerful solid ones appeared simultaneously. It was as if they were gestating and incubating, waiting for this time, as the hordes of Shades surged forth together at the Heavy Cavalry, pushing them to the outermost wall, the last line of defense. In the midst of this, Primera stood alone at the front lines, as if she wanted to protect the damaged Emeth VI and Trudea.

IF I RETREAT NOW, I WON’T BE ABLE TO PROTECT WHAT MATTERS TO ME! I’LL NEVER BE THE NUMBER ONE KNIGHT!!
In that absolute do-or-die moment, Primera, Trudea and Emeth VI’s bodies shined with a dazzling radiance. The next moment, their glow exploded, instantly obliterating the horde of Shades surrounding the trio. Standing in the center of that glorious radiance was a single Golem. Although it is only barely recorded in the history of the empire, they had taken on the form that only chosen heroes could achieve…

Meanwhile, in the skies of the East, there is a glowing flame moving around, slaughtering a large number of Shades that had spawned at same time. It’s obvious that Centur inspiration was TTGL after all Konami sponsored the show
It’s a reference to Gainax mecha in general.
The two man mech thing and that finger point also goes back to Gunbuster, a 1980s Gainax Series.
“aim for the top!”
yeah ok subtlety is out of the window
Primera is Noriko, Trudea is Kazumi and Auxila is Jung
Unbeknownst to the kingdom of Centur-la, the meteorite had writing on the side that said “SPACEBATTLES was here”
and had it not broken up and scattered, would have landed with an unusually small crater for its size
They really shoud make those lores into animes.
Just watch Gunbuster/Diebuster. Centur-Ion lore is so heavily taken from it, that they titledropped the franchise in this lore blurb thing (Aim for the top!)
Hope the next Deck Build Pack gives us more refreshing things
Centurion = Cringe Turbo Bring More Pain
Thanks me later 🙂
Not really their fault though. Crimson dragon is just too abusable.
Not the most interesting lore.
I’m a sucker for cards that show the bonds of different characters and this being inspired by giant mechas animes and stories is great
