Face the strongest warriors of the Gladiator Beasts yet!
Gladiator Beasts are…
A theme that lets you activate the effects of its monsters when called to the field by another “Gladitor Beast”‘s effect, then after they battle, they can be returned to the Deck to call for another “Gladiator Beast”. As a result, by having your “Gladiator Beasts” tag in and out, you can activate their effects.
They also have powerful Fusion Monsters that can be Summoned without using Polymerization.

Gladeator beasts, despite these cards looking cool, they don’t really fix the archetypes problems, maybe if we get a new way to keep them around long enough to activate there effects, then they would be great but not quite right now.
These actually do a lot for Glad Beasts, because Glad Beasts havent been a Battle Deck ever since Test Panther released
They’ve been a combo deck since forever now, and these help that greatly
You’re joking, right? One of the bigger issues they’ve had for a while was getting multiple bodies on board without relying on tagging out the Fusions. Both the Bear and Magister fix that immensely.
This actually fixes -all- of the problems. Their weakness was getting 2 on the field at the same time, and now they have multiple ways to do this. Plus the wolf searches… that is huge, and gives the link 2 a supplementary search instead of a mandatory one. It’s exactly what it needed.
Problem is systemic to Gladiator Beasts : they are mostly a battle deck, you NEED to attack to unleash their full potential.
It’s way TOO SLOW compared to Kashtira or Runnick archetypes : they are doomed to be bad.
there real
Woner if this implies a successor to fusion inforcers, if so I hope predaplant, ancient gear, frightfur, Star warriors, and other fusion based archetypes get some support.
Well, we just got AG support, and a lot of it, so it’s not entirely farfetched. I’m not especially optimistic about Star Warriors though, even if it would be the one I’m the most interested in.
Am not a fan Gladiator Beasts… but that new fusion looks fairly nuts to me! It might influence players to make a graveyard dumping version of the deck just to summon that badboy.
Double Battle Phase pretty much cycle through all glads at least once in a turn
Seeing the new Field Spell gives me hope that other archetypes with dated and useless Field Spells will eventually get a good modern one.
My first thought as well. Seems like they are more willing to realize that their field spells from the past were not only bad, but some of the worst cards ever called support. Nothing wrong with just saying “yeah…this was bad”
Magister is exactly the card gladiator beasts was missing. The field spell and the link two are also strong. New fusion and bear are cool and are welcome additions.
If I’m not mistaken, I believe you can summon gladiator beast tamer editor and cheat out that new fusion pretty easy
@Charmander
You can, yes. But won’t get the double-Battle Phase effect if you do. (Which is fine in some cases.)
Unpopular Opinion: The Battle Beast duel from Arc V was entertaining.
i thought it was a alryt duel, i would be surprised if they printed the fortresses cards that battle beast use.
one of them actually stacked Glads from your deck under itself like Xyzs does. (judgement arrows would be another werd anime only card that Bends the rules with extra link arrow applying in the main zone from the S/T zones, since equipped or S/T zoned link monsters do not share that interaction)
“Unpopular Opinion: The Battle Beast duel from Arc V was entertaining.”
One of my favorites, and well-executed, as far as I’m concerned.
That this is an unpopular opinion is really vexing.
Nice to see alot of Gx era decks getting alot of new support. Now we just need new Alien 👽 support next.
Thanks for creating snake eyes with so much consistency for 1 card combos, making non-1 card combo decks not worth playing. But regardless, I will still play this garbage because it is fun.
Eh the fusion is kind of disappointing but everything else is pretty solid
How could contact fusion monsters via GY is disappointing smh.
You can cheat him out with Editor
@Longyuan22 Don’t they shuffle themselves into the deck?
Yeah, 5 materials is stretching it. Go 4 instead.
Fusion is actually important.
With so many one ofs that deck will need to play, it kinda needed a way to recycle monsters. I’m sure it isn’t the best one as if you summon the fusion, game is over, but is very easy to get to 5 in grave by just playing your deck two turns
@Longyuan22
Contacting fusing via gy does not matter if the effect sucks. I was not around when gladiator beats was meta, so even though the effects seem good to me, I cannot say how much they actually help the deck and its overall strategy
It says summon a negate during your opponent’s and GB monster during your turn depends on which turn your opponent interacts with. still worth it considering GB fusions are soft opt
This support actually doesn’t help the old deck, is a brand new deck, pretty much like the new six sam support. Otherwise, these are good ygo cards.
That being said, the deck looks consistent with 13 magister (the rota, the field spell and terra) and 13 darius.
Main combo is: magister > darius search for comeback.
Link for neo darius, summon old darius, summon magister again.
Link for test panther, add chariot
Revive darius with comeback
Send darius back to deck for retiari
Add comeback
Summon i:p
With panther and retiari
Now, you have a monster that cannot be destroyed: the gb link 2 + chariot, follow-up (comeback) and S:P.
Again, someone is likely to be able to do a much better combo. But the flipside is how fragile it is, so i doubt it is going to be competitively viable, pretty much like six sams
Lmao, the dareios’ text is basically saying. S*ck that your rogue deck is not allowed to play Fiendsmith engines!!
Konami keeps nerving and rogue, but at the same time doesn’t care to add a few texts for the restriction for a new deck, making the game more and more frustating to deal with.
So it looks like Konami is more willing now to admit that some field spells were terrible and should get an upgrade (something they struggled with in the past). Cool…Konami…Watts, Nordics, S-Force, Shaddolls, Dream Mirror, Aliens, Tindangle, Lightsworn, Mikanko and I could go on. The point is, that there are a lot of archetypes with poor living conditions whose homes need renovation.
Lol. I already pick up this deck before it got support
i know you did not just put Shaddolls and Lightsworns in the same category as Aliens…
Still waiting on a Neo Space and Skyscraper Retrain.
@morphine jar Yes…just because the deck is better, doesn’t mean its field spell isn’t booty cheeks and all 3 of them have booty cheeks field spells. Lightsworn and Shaddoll are still good without it, but the fact remains that their field spells are booty cheeks.
>S-Force
PLEASE KOMONEY, PLEASE!!!
Why can everyone contact fuse better than Neo-spacians? Konami…. You got some explaining to do! and more support to print!
I suppose we live in a timeline where we can run somewhat cohesive GB-LS hybrid with Claudius being pretty huge payout on GB side.
Man, no level changing to 5+ effects (for Tamer Editor summon ease) or additional Normal Summons. Or a better equip spell(s). Or a beefier body.
I’ll try them out anyway.
I do like that the fusion monster actually keeps what made the deck unique. That was a problem people had with the previous wave, it forsook the identity of the archetype in order to be playable…and was not playable.
I love this!
That Fusion is disgusting. Will get banned in the new year for being an FTK for sure.
Ehh, it needs pretty hefty setup. Unless there’s some crazy tech letting you fill your grave consistently and quickly it will be mostly contained to being GB’s superboss, which is perfectly fine and for what it was designed.
What ftk it can do?
It isn’t that hard to get it out, swarm the field with GBs and dump a couple in the Grave. Test Bear gets two onto the field, Attorix and Noxious can dump from the deck, Tygerius and Sagittarii can dump from the hand for a search/draw (Tygerius can’t fuse but still), and there’s numerous other swarming effects they have like Test Tiger and Test Ape. The GB engine will have no problem getting 5 monsters into the Graveyard or field with the right build.
Once this thing hits the field, 3700 ATK will run over most things, and you get two Battle Phases to once again cycle GBs in and out, getting their effects off to build more advantage; Bestiari, Murmillo and Gyarus will clear the field, you can put Secutor onto the field during the first Battle Phase and tap the opponent directly to bring out two GBs for the second Battle Phase. Add in Respite, Proving Ground, and Rejection to get out the components, maybe Gladiator Beast United to Fusion Summon during the Battle Phase, and you’re definitely looking at an FTK.
I agree that the Fusion is awesome, but that’s not an “FTK” (as in, “First Turn Kill”) though. An FTK is a win on the very first turn of the game, before your opponent has had a turn, in which you aren’t allowed to conduct your Battle Phase. The term you’re thinking of is “OTK” (“One Turn Kill”) which is simply take your opponent’s LP down to 0 from 8000 in a single turn, at any point in the game. Sorry to be pedantic!
Imagine cry to OTK decks lol
Yay! More Slaves! I mean Tests….Tests is what I meant.
What ftk it can do?
Great support The field spell is a must run x3 , Wolf x3 , Bear x3 no questions asked.
Oh my… what??? The more I think about this, the more insane it becomes. This is so powerful, calling it a rogue deck doesn’t really do it a lot of justice anymore.
Yeah yeah gotta fulfill the glad quota once every 5 years. The appropriate amount of cheat codes that ignore an archetype’s mechanics should be 0 while glads have 1000.
Gowdamit in only one day Konami totally make me love that extension Supreme Darkness: first of all Gladiator Beast Claudius and then now Arcana force EX the chaos Ruler. Geez 2024 is probably one of best year on yugioh but if the cover card of alliance insight concern VRAINS and @ Ignister support this will be the best year for me.
But to be honest i truely think Alliance Insight will concern VRAINS
We still don’t have VRAINS
If you take the first letter from “Alliance” and “Insight” you obtain AI. Otherwise if you took the 5 letters of Insight and then you switch the position of some of them and you gain IGNIS
It’s been 5 years since VRAINS is finally over (september 25 to be honest)
i found something interesting for peoples who think it’ll be ARC-V due to the slight similitude with Duellist Alliance: a card named Duellist Alliance was create and released in the extension Maximal crisis. Plus we already have an extension in serie 12 dedicated of Odd-eyes (Age of Overlord).
By the way in Supreme Darkness there’s the card who interest me and i’ll probably buy
Evil Hero Lord Neos
Crystal Clear wing over Synchro Dragon
Gladiator Beast Claudius
Arcana Force EX: the chaos ruler
Great, now make some gladiator beast equips and Gladiator beast Spartacus and Alexander support cards that can summon them ignoring their summoning conditions. The first wave of gladiator beasts in 2007 interested me. From there they just abandoned Spartacus and equips altogether. I don’t care if this archtype doesn’t need equips GIVE THEM SOME MORE.
