I hope we see some more fusions for the original E-Heroes. Burst Wingman is a cool start.
I’m a tad surprised they didn’t the take this chance to make an Anime-accurate Bubbleman. Only a tad because they might not have wanted Bubbleman to become some splashable draw power. But I’m sure they could have snuck something in there to prevent that from happening if they wanted to.
I wasn’t expecting any revelations for Elemental HERO today.
– The existence of Elemental HERO Burst Wingman confirms that, indeed, Rush Duels is going to have its exclusive Elemental HERO’s Fusion Monsters.
– Honestly, I think it was the best way to adapt Elemental HERO Flame Wingman’s Effect into Rush Duels.
– Elemental HERO Neos not being a Legend Monster makes sense since Galactica Oblivion exists (and it’s not like it’s used in many Decks other than LIGHT Galaxy)
-If it weren’t for the fact that we already got OG Magnet Warrior in Rush Duels, Sparkman would have been something special, but now it’s not a big deal. Clayman, on the other hand, can boast that it is now the Normal Monster with the most DEF in Rush Duels.
– Bubbleman is still as situational as ever, although I would be surprised if the Effect has more use in Rush Duels.
– Skyscraper is curious since the Field Spell would indicate that Elemental HERO’s Fusion Monsters would be between Levels 5 to 8.
Bubbleman is even more situational. How are you going to have no cards in your hand and no other cards on the field when you draw until 5 every turn?
Not surprising on the Fusion Monster levels given a majority of the standard, anime, non-Contact Fusion E. Hero Fusion Monsters are in that range. The only exception being Elixier at Level 10.

A 2600-4600 ATK piercer is way too much for Rush right now.

Other than that, loving the lineup. Reading “Skyscraper” also makes me feel like we aren’t getting more Main Deck HEROes, but instead more combination of those six.
Neos isn’t a Legend? hmm I wonder if the Neos fusion monsters are coming. I can see Neos Knight coming too, but a fusion of Neos and Yubel coming will surprise me the most.
Galactica Oblivion, another vanilla the same Level and ATK, has been in the game as a non-Legend for 2 years without issue. We also got Seiyaryu last year.
As for Neos Fusions, most likely not right now. Fan demand for them will likely increase after this SD releases, just as demand for Elemental HEROs went up after Cyber Dragons were released in Over Rush Pack in 2022. So I would imagine once the game reaches another notch or two of power creep over the next few years or so, we should get them. Air Neos probably won’t be included either way.
Yubel coming would surprise me
These were revealed a bit earlier than I expected.
Flame Wingman’s effect is now continuous, which tells me Konami has no plans to make standard effects work during the Battle Phase anytime soon.
Burst Wingman is probably the go to Fusion for them, seeing as it can boost any Warrior, not just itself, and functions as removal in a format where we probably won’t have Wild Wingman.
Skyscraper has been buffed and nerfed. It now only boosts specifically named Elemental HEROs, meaning if we ever get Wildheart or Bladedge (which I doubt), they are unaffected. But now it activates for the turn player regardless of the opposing setup and it works on non-HERO Fusion monsters. Talismanics specifically will benefit from Avian now being a valid target for their requirements.
Bubbleman is mechanically the same as before; the Special Summon condition was removed as it’s redundant in this format, and got the Copycat treatment of needing to activate it during the Main Phase.
An alternate version of Flamewingman that is… Flamewingman again. The way they treat Burstinatrix is a bit rude and as a design decision it doesn’t make much sense tbh
Burst Wingman has taken a lot more features from Burstinatrix, namely her hair, tiara, left hand, and part of her name.
Yeah the weird phobia they have with making female Burstinatrix fusions outside of Evil Heroes is pretty lame. This was a perfect moment for a female Flamewingman alternative fusion, and they missed the chance yet again.
How are we going to be able to use the bubbleman effect when playing Rush? It becomes almost useless

Clayman not being a Legend pretty much confirms they’ve thrown out the ATK/DEF rules for Level 4 Normal Monsters. Most likely due to Legend Strike.
I mean, yes there are variations but fundamentally it is the same. I don’t feel like it’s worth dedicating another card to that, especially for a monster that’s already well positioned compared to Burst

I’m a noob to Rush, so maybe I’m misunderstanding some things, but how exactly will Flame Wingman work? Is this the first trigger effect in Rush or are there others I’m not aware of? If you destroy your opponent’s monster by battle with it, do you then activate it’s effect and your opponent just wouldn’t get the opportunity to activate something like Nobody Scat Thief? I ask because I thought chain links aren’t a thing in rush duels. Is this even something relevant?
Simple. After dealing damage to your opponent through Flame Wingman, its effect deal damages immediately.

I’m surprised that Clayman was made, being a level or lower with 2000 DEF, and wasn’t made into a legend, since 1400 is a high defense (highest defense?) for non-legend level 4. However I am only a casual follower of rush duels, can someone more experienced comment on this?

I think if they made Bladedge they’d make him a legend and likely make Wildheart a legend too due to good ATK, very good DEF and a good effect on top of that.
Grand Mole would have to be a Legend AT LEAST but he would still be way too strong in my opinion (I’m only a casual follower of rush duels)
Stats of level 4 or lower monsters are no relevant any more in Rush duel. Having 2000 defense is good and it can prevent you some time from receiving battle damage, but nowadays all decks have powerfull boss monsters and ways to increase the probability of access to them, so you normally look for monsters with good effects that can help you to access to your boss monsters or to clear your opponent board and not just monster with good stats. Clayman would have to be a legend if its effect had been too strong, but since is a normal monster, there is no need to do that.

Neos should be a Legend card
Neos isn’t really known to be a vanilla that has powerful cards requiring it unlike DM or BEWD or even REBD. Making it a legend while it’s very fusion-centric (and nothing else) is just bad. its stats are nothing to write home about, as most boss monsters have 2500 ATK.
I remember when lv 4 mounters capped at 1400 def. Vorse Raider and Blue-Eyes are legends. Millennium Shield is a legend but Clayman isn’t. Ok.
A new frontier opens with trigger effects larping as continuous effects. Can you activate a appropriate trap before or after the burn?
