Manga Ruka more or less specialized in LIGHT Beast but anime Ruka can’t do that since she used a wider variety of monsters.
So I will assume her support will be LIGHT monster Field Spell focus so you can splash them into the manga core and it won’t take away from the anime’s identity.
A new AFD will also likely be in the cards – may be a signature move or effect variant. The backrow cards may reference Ruka’s three on screen duels or her trip to the spirit world.

The reveal also confirms what we already suspected for a while – there will be new cards for the 3 Tactical-Try Decks announced in here.
And the final Quarter Century promo card referencing Neo BEUD for slot 000. May be an Xyz since we already have a Fusion.
I wonder if they’ll follow through with the implied Luna Monsters they printed for her in Ancient Prophecy (the Core Booster that debuted Luna’s cards)? That is, Ancient Sacred Wyvern and Ancient Crimson Ape.
Luna never used them, sure, but they were made aesthetically to fit into the whole Ancient Forest and LP Management vibe most of Luna’s original cards were going for. And considering how her Deck was supremely not fleshed out, it was a nice gesture at the time, one I wouldn’t mind them re-gesturing towards here or going forward. (Ancient Crimson Ape being a LIGHT/Beast was also fortuitous design, given Regulus and Manga!Luna’s Monster line.)
Ruka anime deck also got 2 Light Beasts and 1 Water Beast…so probably these 3 will be retrained as LIGHT Beast…and possibly Kuribon retrained as Beast
New AFD effect: Take 1 Secret Village of the Spellcasters from your Deck, and either add it to your hand or place it to your field. As long as this card remains face-up on the field, cards in the Field Zone cannot be negated, destroyed, or banished by card effects. Unaffected by other cards’ effect, except Field Spell.
too weak, better also say you can spit on your opponent’s cards and add a couple negates

What are you talking about? Vetrix cards are already 5 and the monsters start at 009. Which means there’s 5 empty monster slots between @ignister and Heraldic.
Luna gonna to get the Ishizu treatment in where they’re just going to create retrains of monsters she used in the anime like Kuribon and Regulus and give them new effects that connects them together for one strategy.
while also giving her support that ties into the forest prologue manga stuff

I was really hoping to get new cards for Ayu’s Aquaactress as well, though. Oh well. At least the third character slot was Vetrix’s Heraldic deck and not some obnoxious deck that already has tons of support like Speedroids were in SUDA.
Since there are new D/D monsters in Premium Pack 2025 I wouldn’t be surprised if the next pack has a D/D/D card as the cover monster

This set went from putting me to sleep to this could be the final set and that would be fine. OH NO, Armored White Bear isn’t light but we’ll make it work. Everything is gonna be alright. In retrospect Ancient Forest not having an exemption for Ancient Fairy Dragon was silly wasn’t it? These 9 days are going to be a painful wait.
Could we get a Cyber Dragon Synchro in this?
