Konami has indicated the next Forbidden & Limited List changes will be announced in late August 2024, after reviewing major changes to the game provided by the cards from The Infinite Forbidden and how they impact gameplay.

Okay, that’s funny. A bit later than expected(considering the tons of lists within this month alone existing).
Still, good to see they’re taking a harder look at the balance. Won’t mean much either way.
I don’t know about a harder look, but I’m glad they’re being at least being less opaque about when it’s happening
TCG: Free Maxx C from the Banlist (with so much popularity and attention that the Bug is receiving)
If Maxx C comes back, I will literally quit the game for good.
There is nothing healthy about that card, its makes deck building in master duel boring (1/4 of your is already decided) and even winning off of it feels unearned.

Dragoon was never banned in the TCG. It got a reprint recently in Rarity Collection 2.
@Geo I know someone whom stops playing the TCG only because they banned Master Peace. If Komoney somehow unbans it, hopefully that would get him back into the game.
Wow, communication. I wonder if they have a headache? Because I’m sure it took a lot of effort and brain power to do something so simple. The bums may need a nap after such rigorous work.

The fact they are talking about how it affects the game means it’s a balanced-based update instead of just product-based(with maybe a tiny slew of balance at best). They made their intentions quite clear.
They’ve also been communicating pretty well anyway. Besides, we knew for a long time that Konami isn’t great at bringing stuff over to the TCG as is. It’s slowly getting better, as they’re putting more effort into better pull rates. It makes sense too. People are quite annoyed at the extremely bad pull rates and jacked-up prices, of which the second hand market only makes worse. So any attempt to fix it is a good thing in itself, even if it doesn’t always work out.
Besides that, the OCG has different rules for how tournaments can work due to various laws about certain types of prizes. The TCG regions do not have this, so it’s a bit more complicated. When Konami took over the TCG stuff(instead of having UDE), they basically weren’t fully aware of how different regions truly are, as it didn’t even have split lists right away. It eventually did split them to better look at how different are metas truly are, and slowly got better at balance updates. However, we also had more product issues too, though that’s starting to get better as noted above.
So I don’t get the idea they’re a failure at communicating. They obviously won’t be perfect at balancing the TCG since they’re from a different region, but to pretend it’s going badly is kind of unfair. They’re hitting negates and floodgates left and right while bringing back many weaker archtypes. A lot more than they used to. It’s no longer just product-based, after all. We do see clear attempts at balance and changing it up. Is it great? Nah. We still need more. But we’re getting to the point where there’s very few cards that really should be unbanned nowadays, and not that many that need to move up. That’s a good sign of change.
A good sign when they ban 3 cards and somehow manage to make it another tier 0 format for the third time and did not addressed it 2 lists ago. Now we’re moving to another overpriced tier 0 format again with Fiendsmith and outright butcher Snake-Eyes to push product again and thus repeat the cycle again.

If I had to guess, Ash, Wanted and SP to 1. (no this obviously isn’t everything)
though SP to 1 does literally nothing as most only play the 1
I’m honestly just happy that they actually communicated when they’re releasing the banlist for once.
Will they ever unban Dragoon? Or bring in a retrain counterpart? DM needs to focus on synchro, as they are lacking there. And, they seems fun to play, if they go to synchro format, as Dragoon is curently still banned in MD. Ban Verte please

Besides maybe around dozen cards that could easily be removed from the forbidden list I would like to see happen… however I’ll keep it simple by just listing off the top 5 cards I would be happy to see banned.

There is more I could add… but the above would be a great start. I am sick of always seeing the exact same handtraps & extra deck monsters in every single even slightly competitive deck, it is beyond boring.
Ash blossom doesn’t need to be banned. I used to think that back in like IGAS format cuz my deck would lose to 1 ash but now all 3 of my decks can easily play through ash blossom.
I’d argue Droll or shifter should be banned now but I don’t see that happening either.
Maybe bring back CBTG to 2/3?

People still play X3 Ash in most decks, and it still can stop dead many weaker level decks, so it simply needs to go. The point here is to get rid of the bulk of the top staples from the current game.
Ash is needed in the modern game, sadly. Decks are too strong and fast now. This isn’t 2019 anymore.
