HOLY MOLY MAXX C HAS MOVED TO THE LIMIT LIST
Yeah, the roach limit will the the talk of the town. The list has way more applications, however. Ash to 2 is a big sign that she has finally overstayed its welcome. Yummy is hit quite hard, as now it will only do a half-board as its endboard, on top of Marshmao being hit. Dracotail might still be fine, though Mululu is definitely another starter. Fiendsmith is gone, though Mitsu did make it relevant a little more; the hits to Ryzeal are also probably to discourage playing Mitsu with other engines. Maliss might be finally dead as well.
Overall, the list just wants you to play Phantom’s Revenge decks, but it also sets a possible direction for the game that handtraps *must* resolve.
Sums it up in a nutshell regarding this banlist. Which means at least 2 of the three decks will be the next popular meta menaces, translation 6 months of war between every Yu-Gi-Oh deck possible.
Better prepare popcorn and such regarding the talk of one card being limited.
Unfortunately, Phantom Revengers is still awful. Yummy, Maliss, and Mitsu got hit really hard – but Dracotail got off with a slap on the wrist and will easily be the best deck of the format. Striker, Radiant Typhoon, Exosister, and K9VS are also better than anything from PHRE. Not to mention, Mermail and Dragon Link now with Toad unbanned and Wyvern at 3 – also BOTH of these decks benefit a ton from Maxx getting hit. Even Mitsu is probably still better than anything in PHRE despite PrePrep and Impulse getting hit.
I feel like with this particular banlist, they took notes from the TCG/Master Duel side of things.
There’s still “Herald of the Arc Light”, and “Albion the Sanctifier Dragon” though but at least the Yummy stuff is going to be more inconsistent now.

You run a single copy because if it resolves, you win. It is going to feel even worse at one because now it is just a luck sack card. Just ban the damn bug already.
You can pretty much recycle and even searches it with cards like retaliating “C”. So it is not dead, especially in modern yugioh that card is so toxic!

In retrospect the neo series was another incomplete series just like NEX, just another thing that ties heroes and neospacians. As usual 80% of lists is deck build slop that I have no recollection of. Rather not see dessertoad again.

Wow. As far as OCG banlists go, this one is pretty good. I would have liked them to hit a few of the floodgates that the TCG hit as well though.

The grotesque art of old cards reminds of how ygo used to be a dark fantasy game. That said some are so ugly that I’d rather not seem them around.

If I had a nickel for every VRAINS endgame link that was banned, oh, didn’t even notice bandaid blossom! Thank goodness, since the “good” soft ftks just “play through” konami’s bandaid solutions anyway forcing players to deplete their opening hand to determine who has the right to play is a waste of time, not to mention I’m sick of seeing her animation. I am interested in what the old fan translated name was though.

Wonder why Kashtira Fenrir is still banned in ocg?
They have Arise-Heart legal. Because of that, they probably don’t want to ever make Kashtira a pure deck again, especially since they keep unlimiting the consistency of Kashtira, which would mean that the chance of getting to Unicorn -> Fenrir -> Riseheart is much easier. Not to mention that Fenrir is also a generic card by itself, for both going 1st and 2nd.

This will satisfy the TCG community’s confirmation bias for a while until they eventually find some other difference with the OCG to complain about. Hopefully, this change will lower the price of Maxx “C” and I’ll be able to get a set at a reasonable price
