No, even with this I still do not trust my opponent’s timer
A new Tryout Duel is now available. For this Tryout Duel, each turn will have a time limit of only 30 seconds. By winning 3 Duels, you can obtain 1 pack of Chaotic Showtime.
You probably just have to normal summon and set few cards, pass. 30 seconds is way to short.

I’ve seen matches where the rounds go faster than that. Like you could play with the professional chess clocks fast.
Does the 30 seconds just instant end phase/ resolve all chains; or can you use chains to continue your turn after the 30 seconds until you can’t play anything, and then they resolve?

That was my idea for the next extra deck type and marketing gimmick. You’d get a set amount of time but summoning new thing would increase your allotted time. Eventually through enough spam you’d accumulate the 2 hours you need to complete your main phase 1.
Didn’t they do this once before? In any case, I’m skipping this one. The only way this would be worth it is if they gave out whole-ass meta decks as the prizes.
I love the people here who think I can’t pull off a full meta combo in 30 seconds lmao. The timer only goes down if you are not doing anything, so a quick VV or Tenpai combo is easy as hell to pull off.
Okay, so I decided to do the event anyway because I had a pretty straightforward burn deck. That worked out really well. Won three games in a row, no losses. 2/3 were victory by burn, though I’m pretty confident the guy who timed out was gonna catch fire anyway.

It gonna be just like the og days. No crazy combos that take 5 minutes to do. Just good o summon a monster, attack, end turn.
Last time it was people with perfect ping stomping everyone else.
Shoot I just used Stall burn last time.
Can’t wait for the metagamers to complain about how this mode doesn’t let them perform their guaranteed 25-card first turn combos
Combo donkeys in shambles
