Get ready for a modern AniSong singer for Season 3’s Opening.
The new Opening Theme is デュエルしようぜ！ Duel Shiyou ze (“Let’s Duel!” by オーイシマサヨシ (Oishi Masayoshi)
His genres tend to be J-POP and Rock, as well as “AniSong” (Theme Songs explicitly written for Anime). Songs people might know him for are HOLLOW HUNGER from Overlord Season 4, UNION from SSSS.Gridman, uni-verse from Gridman Universe, and Role-Playing from Dragon Goes House Hunting. He also wrote and composed (but did not sing) the theme “Youkoso Japari Park he”, from the Kemono Friends series.
He comments he’s quite honored and excited to do a theme song for Yu-Gi-Oh! finally.
The new Ending theme is “STAR RUSH” by 七瀬彩夏 (Nanase Ayaka), an increasingly prolific voice actress, she has sung songs before but they’re essentially all character songs from Anime. Though Ms. Nanase has not been announced for a role in Go Rush!! nor is she an existing character.
One of her most recent roles is Ageha / Cure Butterfly from Soaring Sky Pretty Cure
She notes the song is meant to be stylish and refreshing for kids watching the show in the morning, and it’s meant to give a feeling of growth and reaching a brand new ‘universe’.

Look, I know that’s not the intention, but I keep thinking that, indeed, we are going to discover a brand new universe in Season 3 (that, or YGO 9th took place in another universe very far from Goha’s history/legacy: being more original)

Same. I hope we get a new anime actually based on the actual game real soon because I’m getting tired of this Rush nonsense. At this point I would take a Speed Duel anime at this point.
Rush is profitable enough where it can get another season of the anime and a huge marketing push, especially with Duel Links in account.
It’s the game that appeals to children Konami wants.

@justin jones unfortunately Go rush did better numbers them Arc V and especially Vrains that did flop not only in Jp but also in the rest of the world. In while the fisical game is losing space in the US stores because of the flops of like 5 sets in row outside of quarter century packs

Ultimately you’re just salty that Konami is promoting new product that PEOPLE ARE ACTUALLY ENJOYING instead of pandering to blind nostalgia of some random dude on the Internet like you.
Go figure out, you’re not special and you “just consuming” another nostalgia wanking (which you blatantly showed favoritism for by fantasying about anime with lol all oldschool protags in other thread) is not any better than people enjoying Rush side of YGO.
…Especially that Rush is achieving what oldschool YGO failed to achieve for years. It attracts new people both with anime actually being watchable and game actually not being a total mess.
Now grow the hell up.
We’re unlikely to get a new OCG/TCG anime for the foreseeable future.
The OCG has become too mechanically complex, and Rush fits the likely desires of TV Tokyo and other owners of the IP to not have 40 minute Duels like VRAINS, and instead has 10.
And, you do realize, any end of Rush is going to likely result in the OCG/TCG becoming more like Rush to fit TV Tokyo’s wants, right?

I feel like season 3 is kinda forced. Season 2 looks like it is gonna end in a satisfying way already. Just give us a new setting. If season 3 doesn’t give us any new mechanics (and I mean Rush Duel originals, no immigrant stuff), I be disappointed.
