I still find it strange how some Rush cards say “Spells/Traps can’t be returned to the extra deck this turn.” because surely they would never be dense enough to try including Pendulums in Rush right?
They might include Hermos-related cards, or Extra Deck monsters that can be equipped.
Future proofing, do it now then you’ll never have to worry about the future. No need to be lazy and restrict the potential for game design in the future
It’s called Future-Proofing!
Y’know, in case Extra Spells become a thing (very likely given how Ritual Monsters went)!
No blastchronos, sad
Blastchronos still has a chance of being printed. There are 2 Fusion slots after this one, and archetypal monsters are usually sorted in set order by ascending stats and Level. 43 may be Blastchronos, but like Lightwave Grand Dragon it may be revealed separately.
Then it was BlastHades instead
While it’s unfortunate the known fusions and her Equip recovery high level aren’t printed, we finally have a way to add back the equips and that’s all I needed
It’s also funny to think that Asaka doesn’t have many Equip and Field Spells in the Anime, but she does have a ton of Trap Cards.
Should’ve printed a third one called Glory smh
Nikka and Pokka have been slightly nerfed. Now you need to mill a FIRE Wyrm with their effect to recover their specific cards from the GY.
Their Fusion has average stats for their Level and materials, but the effect is where they shine. Since Pokka recovers a Field and an Equip Spell, this protects both of them from being spun or bounced back on your opponent’s turn. It especially works wonders with Shutter, which protects the equipped monster and Shutter from being destroyed by card effects if you control a face up card in the Field Zone. Demolisher also has a handful of battle Traps especially Absolute Destruction you want to protect.
A rare moment for Asaka’s support without Asana.
Either way, I’m a little glad they’re restricting FIRE Wyrm, as I feel like it didn’t make sense to pair Asaka’s stuff with Asana, even though they both use Wyrm Decks.
Either way, they’re two welcome Monsters, especially for GY setup.
