Someone at Rush Duel R&D really likes insects. Maybe too much.
Name Explanations:
Tenten uses 昆遁忍虫 Konton Ninchuu. The name is one of those ‘multiple jokes going on at once’ things.
昆遁 sounds like 混沌 (Konton) i.e. Chaos
遁 (Ton) is used to refer to Ninjutsu that are used to escape from enemies
昆虫 (Konchuu) means Insect.
So basically they’re chaotic escape-artist ninja insects.
However, Eva has pointed out to me that 遁 is usually untranslated, so I’m going with Konton Ninsect for the theme name.
I avoided translating the insect names as this is a group of Ninja, and thus treating them as Japanese.

RD/KP20-JP053 昆遁忍法-藍穏虫 Konton Ninpou – Aionchuu (Konton Ninjutsu Art of I Want You)
Normal Spell Card
【REQUIREMENT】 Send 1 Normal Monster or 1 Level 4 or lower Insect Monster from the hand to the GY.
【EFFECT】 Choose 1 Level 5 to 8 DARK Insect Monster with 400 DEF and a Continuous Effect in your GY and Special Summon it to your field face-up.
Note: 藍穏虫 means literally Indigo Calm Insect, but sounds like “I Want You”.
RD/KP20-JP054 昆遁忍法-五翅二虫 Konton Ninpou – Goshinichuu (Konton Ninjutsu Art of Goshinichu)
Normal Spell Card
【REQUIREMENT】 Send 1 Insect monster from the hand to the GY.
【EFFECT】 Excavate the top 5 cards of your Deck and reveal them. You can choose up to 2 DARK Insect monsters with 400 DEF among them and add them to the hand, then place the remainder on the bottom of the Deck in any order.
Note: It means “Five Feathers; Two Insects”, but wording that as a specific name seems a pain. If there’s a pun I’m missing it.
RD/KP20-JP058 夢翔の愛 Muchou no Ai (Quixotic Love)
Normal Spell Card
【REQUIREMENT】 Send 1 face-up Insect monster on your field to the GY.
【CONTINUOUS EFFECT】 You draw 2 cards, but you cannot attack with monsters for the rest of the turn, except Insect monsters.
Note: Muchou usually means “Unconditional or Selfless Love” but here they’re using “Flight of Fancy” (i.e. something unrealistic or Impractical). Quixotic means something of high or romantic ideals but also completely unrealistic to the point of outright delusion. If it was just me, I’d call this “Flight of Fancy”.

I just gotta respect that the archetype trait is being Continuous Effects.
Ok, there are some interesting things here:
– Unlike its Low Level friends, Rosary Cicada was buffed with the addition of Pierce, but it also locks you into DARK Insect monsters with Continuous Effects.
– Even though Tenten has Anime’s Backrow, the Spell Cards here are new and focused on working only with Tenten’s Deck. For some reason, one Spell Card mentions Normal Monster when Chaos Ninsect has no Normal Monsters.
– Even though we have a card that screams Delirium, it ended up being a generic Pot of Greed for Insects.
“Lock you into dark” is bad wording, you can still use non darks they just wont get piercing
“Someone at Rush Duel R&D really likes insects. Maybe too much”
Seeing as how Insect has been ignored in Rush Duels for so long… I’d say they deserve some attention.
Also, for Rush Duel R&D favorites, there’s Beast Gear, Shadow Flower, Constructor/Destructor, and Voidvelg.
Yes! I’ve been waiting for these!
Ageha and Quixotic Love are going to be amazing for Delirium.
Ageha being on the field to enable Delirium Rebirth on normal/special summons is huge.
Well, the first two Spells at least opens the door to this theme getting future support, hopefully by giving them better low level monsters to play with.
Most of these are pretty underwhelming. The draw 2 Spell is really good though. Ageha and Nanahoshi may see some situational use in Delirium.
