It is clear to me now.
Wow, wasn’t expecting the Clear family. And getting buffed quite a bit compared to the anime, no less.
I hear that!
IT’S FINALLY HERE! Omg I’ve waited so long for this & they actually did it unexpectedly. I was thinking maybe in a few more years, but now better than ever. Thank you Konami soooooo much.
Finally! I can plunge my opponent in to a world of zero no! The infinite! I will accept them all! They will forget everything and be happy!
Ok… where did THAT come from!?
FINALLY! There here, and better than they were in the Anime!
ok so floodgate turbo
We are in the clear!
Oh great! Finally an Anime Deck of an important Character for his own series.
Now….Can we get a better version for “Clear World”? Relying on that fourth-tier Field Spell ruins the new cards a bit.
the new spell is to improve it
The new spell’s third effect throws out the deck’s entire attribute manipulation play style. For no cost at all, it makes the entire anti-attribute concept pointless.
Just zany how fields used to be fields instead of…pictures of people talking with ROTA. That said I don’t agree with how they nerfed several of world’s penalties.
Making the entire premise pointless is the bureaucracy’s specialty! Just look at glad beasts having 1000 cheat codes. Deciding what attribute you’d want to change an opponent’s monster to would require too much thinking, everything has to be nice and easy with your hand being held.
We are in the clear! Clear Wall is perfect for Clear Vice Dragon
Nobody saw this coming, and in the Year of LIGHT too, no less.
Improvements over their anime versions, but Clear World itself could use some work. A support card in the vein of Malefic Territory.
Wtf i was not expecting that
So Clear Sacrifice and Nihilistic Summoning Technique in the next Core set?
Maybe the Attribute cards too (Mastery, Bomb, Chameleon and Gravity)
The cowards wouldn’t print em with no attribute, what a loss.
Anyway these are pretty cool, definitely wasn’t expecting Konami to print “Clear World” accessories anytime soon.
Now if they could just print certain DM characters cards so I can embrace my inner Tony Stark.
Why would they do that when Clear Vice Dragon has been out for years to base off of?
What they did to cards like Clear Vice Dragon and Number F0 was lame too. Can’t even have “you cannot lose the duel” because muh rulings. Somehow other card games can do “crazy” things by ygo standards using less text and there’s no issues.
i am still upset that they made “illusion” aka, Dream a monster type and not an Attribute as it was with the older games, such a shame.
If it’s in order the first theme is only getting 5 cards. I dunno if armor fits. I hope it’s orichalcos tho
“If this face-up card in its owner’s control leaves the field by your opponent:”
Is this new text? What constitues “by the opponent”? Shouldn’t it be “because of an opponent’s card”?
Do cards on the field leave because Evenly Matched was played or because the player chooses the card(s)?
This text has been in forever lol, its not new
Evenly Matched does not cause cards to leave by the opponent’s card if they choose to banish them face-down (same with cards like Weighbridge and Daruma Cannon). I’m not sure if it would be considered “by the opponent”.
@TransactionRollbackInGY
There is not a single card in the game with the string of text “by the opponent” in this context. There are in fact only two with that string, and they say “by the opponent’s effects”.
@TransactionRollbackInGY
Correction to earlier comment, there are more than 2, but all of them are still all of them say “by your opponents’s card/effect” or similar. Not simply “by your opponent”.
Same exact wording as Mirrorjade
@yep jade
No it’s not. Mirrorjade says “by your opponent’s CARD”.
Or more accurately, “because of an opponent’s card”, which is even more different. Please stop reinforcing the stereotype that Yugioh players can’t read.
The continous traps. Attribute Gravity and Attribute Chameleon are also need to be released.
Damn 3rd spell goes crazy
3rd effect of spell, i mean
It makes the entire concept of the deck pointless.
You don’t need a concept for a deck to magically become playable, this deck absolutely sucks and needs something to be more competitive. “Concepts” are not necessary at all, so don’t complain about it. Other decks don’t have concepts and they work fine.
Fujiwara’s dream was achieved. Decks aren’t decks, just engines of interchangeable h-omogenous grey slime combo filler that all reach the same destination. A small price to pay to achieve peace. Things functioning differently would be suboptimal and we can’t have that!
What’s the point of the deck even existing if the entire premise behind it is removed in the most blandest of ways for the lazies attempt at playability? Just so the cards can just be swallowed up by other decks as micro plays and mini engines?
Why not just make a new original overpowered creatively bankrupt generic deck theme to plague competitive?
@ScionStorm For the same reason Hollywood destroys established franchises with bland generic stuff instead of applying that stuff to a new movie. A terrible business model for fans, but just good enough for them, since they usually make more money just off nostalgia.
@ScionStorm Well, when a deck is terrible enough thanks to its downsides, the gameplan becomes “how to remove those downsides, because the playerbase is more about the nostalgia for the deck than what makes that deck unique”. Though tbf, what makes a deck unique is usually also what makes it bad.
That last sentence is painfully true. Uniqueness must usually be sacrificed in order to increase power or consistency, so we start getting more generic effects in later waves of support.
@Snow
The question I asked was meant to be rhetorical, by providing (what I thought) was a self-explanatory scenario designed to answer the question “what constitutes “by the opponent?””.
Example:
I have a face up Blue-Eyes Tyrant (which is unaffected by Traps) and one other card on the field.
My opponent (who has no cards on the field) activates Evenly Matched, because the mechanics of Evenly Matched, I could banish my Blue-Eyes Tyrant because I am the one affecting the Blue-Eyes NOT Evenly Matched.
While this example does not map on to the “by the opponent” exactly, it does answer the question “what does “by the opponent”” mean in a reversed context.
I hope we get Different Dimension Hangar
From the anime also. That would help with the new union support from the Light pack.
After 20 years it’d be nice to have a con. trap that just lets me change the attribute of an opponent’s monster on the field OR gy. That one trap monster elephant thing comes close but no. C’mon it wouldn’t hurt to cut 1 fanfiction card from a main set to make room.
there is one the RGB rainbowfication trap
Unfortunately that one, too, only affects the field. Some odd cards care about levels in your opp gy but I won’t get greedy. Funny enough if that sort of level manipulation was a thing they’d have to errata necrovalley again.
Yusei finally has a tough competition here.
Well, very happy these cards suck, they’d be awful to play against if they were able to do litterally anything before turn 5 (maybe 3 when you get lucky)
We need more than 5 cards to build an AT. They better release the rest soon. I always hate how they take 1 year to release the rest of the AT. And it’s half a55ed.
I remember trying them in a Tag Force. Terrible experience. Well waiting for something else
why does Clear Vicious Knight even floodgate special summoned monsters with LOWER ATK when it will always have higher ATK than them due to its first effect?
it makes no sense, there’s literally no way to negate its first effect (continuous) without also negating its other effects
also funny, it doesn’t lose to Honest unlike in the anime
bro just forgot Normal Summons exist
I find it kinda funny people think Clear World works as a wincon even with six effects; literally the only reason you’d run this stuff is to turbo Vicious which is kinda sad.
If the searcher wasn’t attached to the hip it’d be unused even with its maxed out effects.
Though it does in theory stop them from printing a fixed version. Making all six effects relevant on an alt clear world would be too much with this context. Though i guess if you wanted to be “accurate” you could only make a controlled dark effect and the anime spell lockout. Would be an experience atleast, which i mean this support already is because its just turbo floodgate.
Or just make new clear world not clear world effect wise and have it be some other dual sided floodgate but it is sorta bemusing.
Also in general this kinda murders the rest of the actual anime clear “support”, wonder what those would end up like if they do those in a few years or something.
Yes! I’ve been waiting for this!
Cube reminds me that “leaving the field” doesn’t actually mean leaving the field in ygo. Sad!
My mind has been blown. I just remembered the tcg recently released support for monsters that mention a specific field spell. The foreshadowing was there all along!
RBG Rainbowlution will be histeric in this deck. Even without Wall and/or level 7 monster (so knight or dragon) you can use it to give all attributes to your opponent’s monster.
Clear World’s effects are rather mediocre but all of them at once should be very annoying. Not meta defining but people loving to put multiple small tax effects on opponent will definitively enjoy this one.
FINALLY.
We can finally zero out our opponents! No throw them into that infinite world! We can erase them! Hahaha Ahahaha!
Again where did THAT come from!?
What a sorprise!!! I’m glad
Clear Wall is the scariest thing listed here.
They should have gone with the tag force effects. Make all the clear monsters be treated as having no attribute. There aren’t going to be many rulings problems like people think
Deck that arrives twenty years late…..
Guess all I want now is either more new cards or a broken OTK when you can use these with dark worlds.
