I don’t want to live in a world where both Marincess and Trickstar get one more free and reusable extender. Obviously this kind of restriction is still bit over the top but both of these decks have easy time turning bodies on the field into threats so this will see play as a single copy.
Bruh marincess aside (1 extender ain’t gonna do much for the deck, it has plenty already), does trickstar have that many extenders? Or maybe the latest support cards have plenty? I honestly don’t remember the new trickstar cards
Honestly should have been a HOPT on the first and third effects, but I can understand why Konami went this far. This is a prime target to dump with Tang, easily fulfills Sea Archiver without additional set up, and Konami probably didn’t want the generic “Special Summon but banish when it leaves the field” because of Great Bubble Reef.

Honestly, they could’ve experimented restricting effects of cards for a certain amount of turns cause once per Duel is a little much imo. They could have made it be counting for a certain amount of your turns or your opponent’s. They can even restrict it to count on a certain phases like what they did similarly to a lot of the 5Ds era cards and older. Also, they be putting restrictions on cards like this, yet they didn’t restrict certain themes to end up being used as engine pieces for a variety of decks or be mixed in with another core theme to have them spiral out of control. The usage of generic cards that are handtraps, Extra Deck boss monsters, draw and/or search power, board breakers, going 2nd counters, towers, versatile engines, and floodgates don’t help the themes’ cases either. Konami are terribly inconsistent with their card design. What’s wrong with making pure archetypes good? Players be saying a certain theme or legacy support to a theme is broken, yet most of the time as soon as they become legal, they ending up going to the bulk list of rogue decks because they still cannot perform well in the meta. Seems to me they have no idea how to proceed forward in the ways of designing this card game. They should’ve ended making more cards for the Advanced Format a while ago.

Reading those restriction, that read like a War Rock card but more restrictive. LoL I don’t know how they managed that.
How? Once Per duel is pretty standard for a free extender from grave. See: Glow-Up Bulb, Revolution Synchron. Also, full hand knowledge is CRAZY.
War Rocks wish they have a card remotely this decent.
The once per duel effect on its Special Summon hurts yes, but you only need any Marincess monster on board to do it. No needing to banish a Marincess from grave, have an unoccupied Zone a Marincess Link points to, nor have 2 Marincesses on board. It’s more flexible than the other extenders, and once you exhaust its use, you can easily use it in the GY as a resource over your other Marincesses.
Can easily be milled with Tang, makes Mandarin more consistent, and can be banished for Springirl.
This card is INSANE. First of all, free hand info. Second of all, it has the Glow-Up Bulb/Rev Synchron effect. Third of all, Trickstar Light Stage is now full Marincess combo.
People online are saying it’s bad because it’s not Cyberse. Why? The only card in Marincess that locks you into Cyberse is Splash Mage, and that says for the rest of the turn, so you can still Aqua Angel before you Splash Mage.
Marincess already runs multi-Type extenders, so Splash Mage’s lock isn’t a big deal.
This monster is only Fairy because Foxglove needs Fairy materials.
This card SUCKS in Trickstars honestly but at least Marincess is popping off

How is the third effect a reference to the Water Ignis?
Aqua is an empath and understands what others are thinking and feeling.
It activates when she is used for Link material because Marincess, her Deck, is a Link only theme. The three un partnered Ignis only use Links as well.
Because, in the Anime, Aqua could sense when someone was lying or telling the truth. That’s what this effect does, basically
Yugipedia says Marincess or Trickstar monster for Aqua Angel’s 1st effect. Not card. So no, you can’t just have the Field Spell out to extend. You need to commit to the front row first.

Okay. I completely understand WHY this card is a water monster, since Trickstar don’t have any attribute locks, and it wants to work with Marincess, who rely on water monsters. BUT, it still peeves me just a little bit that a water monster is in the light duelist pack.
Why is there a Water monster in a Light attribute pack…?
we already have one dark monster in this pack, so i guess konami just gave up on this attribute theme for duelist packs

I forgot to mention this about the first batch of idol reveals; it was a nice throwback to Blue Girl v. Crowburner where Aoi explains she adjusted her deck to deal with fat stats and indeed the new fusion continues the theme of stat manipulation.
