Man, I feel like Shark Deck has been getting support pretty consistently over the past few months.

Veiss is really good. In archetype Lonefire, easily searchable, and optionally serves as a Spell/Trap negate for LeVeiss.
Gaia is designed for the once per Duel interaction with Heart of the Blue-Eyes, but can also screw over your opponent’s Synchro and Xyz plays by messing with their Levels.
Why do you say it’s designed for the once per Duel interaction with Heart of the Blue-Eyes?
If this card is in your GY, and you have successfully activated “Millennium Ankh” this Duel, and your opponent *Normal or Special Summons a monster(s) that is Level 8 or higher*, or has 3000 or more ATK: You can send that monster to the GY, and if you do, Special Summon this card. You can only use this effect of “Heart of the Blue-Eyes” once per Duel.
@N so you would then send Heart of the Blue Eyes back to the GY with Gaia?
You activate Melody, search Blue-Eyes, place Sengenjin, discard Blue-Eyes, search Ankh, reveal Ankh, Special Summon Sengenjin, search Gaia, Normal Gaia, and activate Ankh to summon Exodia. Then when your opponent summons anything with a Level, Heart sends it to the GY to revive itself. Gaia can send the Sengenjin to the GY as a monster negate, and Exodia is a Spell/Trap negate, to make this easier.

I’m legit surprised they chose not to do a promo for two most recent Core Boosters, Evil HERO and @Ignister, contrary to the patterns of the last 2 Valuable Books. Instead, they did Shark, which was third Core Booster back, and a theme that hasn’t received much love since Return of the Duelist, Gaia the Fierce Knight. (I recognize this is more intended for Millennium than the ROTD Gaia, but it still can be used there, and that’s the first thing that came to my mind upon seeing the card.)
Not gonna lie; I was looking forward to the hypothetical Evil HERO I assumed we would get here. I’m actually disappointed we didn’t get one.
Gaia Monsters tend to look beautifully gorgeous, and Soul of Gaia is no exception. So I appreciate that much. Millennium in particular appreciates having access to such a nice Normal Summon, since the Deck doesn’t need a Normal Summon. The Level-increase effect is quite unique and fascinating. It can be played around, but it’ll take getting used to in order to form the habit of doing so, and doing so could potentially lead to other problems for the person doing so.
Veiss Shark is nice for the updated Shark Deck. Gives another effect to Shark Drake, one that complements the newest one’s Monster negation effect.

The gaia can mess up most synchro and xyz strategies
Anyone with a higher than room temperature IQ would know to summon their monsters in defense mode if their aim was to Synchro/Xyz Summon.

Gaia would be a funny tech for Fortune Ladies and Formula Athletes, provided you can give control of it to your opponent AND prevent them from just using it as material for their own summons.
If you keep Soul of Gaia on your side of the field, there’s some crazy synergy with Burden of the Mighty.
Not only are your opponents weakened by BotM, but you can drop them by an extra 700 atk if they tried to normal/special after Soul is on the field?
I see the Gaia one backfiring against Cyber Dragons as two level 5 summoned at the same time going to level 12 then you losing to That Rank 12 Zeus or Typhoon

Wow this support is great! Gaia’s level changing effect is legit good stun against xyz and synchro swarm decks and the negation’s not bad. Shark monster’s sp summon and negation effect is great
only against their normal summons, really. anything they want to special for material can usually be summoned in Defense
every protag deck getting great extra stuff (synchro rumble, phantom of yube, gold sarc dmg, blue-eyes heart, veiss shark) but zarc gets a vanilla LOL
I don’t get why it is a Millenium monster if it can’t be placed in the spell and trap zone.
