While this should be the last core set in the GO RUSH set, it is possible that like Galaxy of Fate was for SEVENS we may get spillover from the final GO RUSH duels in the next set after this one.
Honestly, “Galactica of Eternity” sounds more like GO RUSH’s “Genesis Master Road”: the Package before reaching the Finale.
Interestingly, the style of Packs that started with “Oblivion of the Flash” ended with “Galactica of Eternity” (which means there were like a total of 6 Main Packs where Yudias didn’t have the Cover)
Yes, the set immediately before Galaxy of Fate.
Ok people. Place your bets…. Which Fusion Monster will Galactica Oblivion receive to be the cover of Galactica of Eternity?
– The perfect version of Galactica Oblivion (surpassing Eternal Galactica Oblivion)
– The long-awaited and requested Fusion Monster between Galactica Oblivion and Transamu Rainac.
– The unexpected (but quite likely) Fusion Monster between Galactica Oblivion and Sevens Road Magician.
One thing is certain: it is possible that this Boss Monster will not be the last Boss Monster used by Yudias in the end of GO RUSH (example: in SEVENS, Sevensgias was the final Boss Monster for Yuga)
I mean I feel like it’s kind of obvious. how many fusion variants of Blue Tooth and Rex do we have?
I have to imagine a triple contact fusion of Galactica Oblivion, Blue Tooth Burst, and Jointech Rex will be our big finisher.
but man a triple contact of three level seven monsters? it better do something impressive lol
@Rushbo Yuck
Hope this means Rush duels can finally end so we can get a proper anime about the main game. And no they don’t have to make a new summoning method. That thought process is wrong.
They can just promote the game how it is instead if having to promote one specific new thing.
Rush Duels won’t end. Not only are we getting more frequent side sets and structure decks compared to before, but there is also a push to expand the format outside of Asia with Duel Links. Plus the events of GO RUSH heavily imply the next series will take place in the future as Yuga didn’t return to his time but to a future.
nope just stick with your upcoming lore anime
How is that thought process wrong? The anime, as fun as it is, exists to sell new product – and every anime since GX introduced a new mechanic. Even Go Rush, which didn’t introduce a new card type, brought Equips and Contact Fusions to Rush.
Anyways, pretty high chance Yugioh 9 will be a Rush anime so we can have a Rush trilogy (like how we’ve had two Master “trilogies”).
The game gets zero sales in Japan, so eventually they’ll cut bait and we may or may not get a new Master Duel anime.
Wouldn’t count on Rush ending yet for multiple reasons… but I really understand the desire for a new classic Yugioh anime, especially with how Konami are starting to run out of exciting anime cards to print… along with the feeling of the game original card these days often lacking the unique charm the anime cards tend to provide. It indeed feels doubtful, however I hope we can get a classic style or a card lore series too later.
Like it or not Rush is in it for the long run with how successful it is in Asian regions. Not to mention you guys just love ignoring OCG Structures despite it being exactly what you want from new YGO media, though maybe it requires more reading comprehension than most of you have.
Konami needs RD because they need game that is easier to pick up for new players and will not turn anime into complete sh*tshow with 10+ minutes long turns full of stuff that your typical Japanese elementary school (the target audience) had issues with understanding. RD is also build from ground up to be more dynamic game with far better card effect syntax.
Master Duel was effectivelly killing YGO! it’s okay for nostalgia and “advanced” players but as a sole product it was extremely unviable. The only way to save it was hard reset and RD is literally just this.
Lmao you are basically asking konami to get rid of their main money maker with the younger audience, not happening unless the decide they hate profit
@jaffrey lmao, “no sale” while it just became top 9 best-selling cardgame in Japan. If you wanna debate at least make it accurate, you’re making yourself look like a brainless hater
@Superbar “That thought process is wrong”
Tell me you don’t know how to do business in the entertainment industries without telling me you don’t know how. EVERY GAME MUST HAVE SOMETHING NEW TO ATTRACT NEW PLAYERS, NEW CUSTOMERS. Vanguard, Weiss Schwarz, Battle Spirits, etc… They always have to make and promote new mechanics when making new anime to make the game more diversity.
Even Pokemon has low revenue in Gen 4 & 5 because of the same gameplay, that they have to make Mega Evolve, Z-Move, Gigantamax and Terastallize in the next games, and guess which franchise has the highest-grossing now?
@AtimZarr It *is* wrong. GX didn’t really even introduce something truly new because it was still just fusion and ritual summoning with contact fusion being just xyz dragon cannon but returning to the deck.
They should just do Vrains over again but with no focus on any one mechanic. If they want to make it more like competitive in real life for a change that’s fine too as long as they tone it down to a good degree like in that manga.
I just feel like they don’t *have* to introduce a new summon method. If they do it just runs the risk of making the game even more complex and anti player friendly.
I wrote my idea on a word pad of a more mature story of yugioh where the characters are in their twenties? Why? Because lots of fans are now in their late 29s and 30s, but also the main character isa female. I didn’t create a new summoning, but I created a new format to play, called phantoms dueling. Of course, there’s no point in telling anyone how to write thier series, and no one wants to make a mature/female main lead for Yu-Gi-Oh!

Well, there was never going to be a lack of negative comments about Rush Duels or Rush’s Animes. Which is funny since, if you talk about Rush Duels in an OCG/TCG publication, they tell you that it’s kind of a sin to talk about it.
We just have to wait for this year’s Jump Festa or wait until GO RUSH ends (around April or May 2025) to find out if they’ll do something new related to Master Duels.
And well, as I’ve commented elsewhere, if Rush Duels were failing, they would have been cancelled a long time ago (in fact, the first Years of SEVENS Era were the right time since Rush Duels sales from there weren’t the best. However, now Rush Duels is entering its Year 5: it has exceeded expectations or it generates some money that Konami doesn’t want to lose)
Probably Yu-Gi-Oh 9th anime series would introduce Synchro Summoning in Rush Duel.
Wouldn’t count on it given how much of the other basic card types have yet to come out in Rush Duels.
Besides, why do some people want Rush Duels to just become a copy of Master Duels with some different rulings on some things?
I don’t think that it will happen. One of the complains about 5D’s was that Synchro Summon was too complex for younger audience. Considering that RD exist specifically for Japanese younger audience it would make no sense to bring Synchros there without some simplification. For the same reasons Links will probably never appear there.
On the other hand XYZ can happen – math behind XYZ is relatively simpler and Zexal was surprisingly successful among Japanese audience.
tbh, I don’t think Rush Duels should introduced existing summoning mechanics from OCG/TCG, I much rather have original mechanics for RD rather than Synchros and Xyz (despite being simple) at all.
