      Anime stats…

      Dark Matter Emperor Dragon
      Dark/Galaxy/8/3000/2500
“Dark Matter Dragon” + “Contact Dark Matter Wyvern”
You can Summon this card by Contact Fusion (Fusion Summon it by shuffling the above face-up monsters from your field into the owner’s Deck as material).
[REQUIREMENT] You have a face-down monster on your field.
[EFFECT] Destroy 2 face-down cards on the field. This card gains 2000 ATK this turn.

      • N on May 19, 2024 12:43 am

If the anime effects are preserved for real life, Wyvern can Special Summon Dragon from the GY during the turn Wyvern is Tribute Summoned by Tributing a face-down monster.
And Dragon can mill the top card of your Deck to destroy the opponent’s face-up Level 8s or below monsters during the turn it is Summoned, up to the number of face-down monsters on your field. Dragon is also a Level 7 with 2500 ATK, which combines well with Ship, 7 Shift, and Resolve.

      Guess that confirms Neos fusions

      • Kuova on May 19, 2024 6:36 am

In the recent reveals, Neos’ flavor text referenced the Neo Spacians so this is just icing on the cake.

I’d love to see E-HEROs get a Neos Knight-style Contact Fusion so he could be used with the rest of the E-HEROs since it looks like they’re going for specific materials for their stuff.

Aren’t they making Rush Duels more and more complex? Right now they’re still simple, but I’m worried they’ll eventually end up like the original duels.

      • Unodostres on May 19, 2024 12:20 am

Idc as long as it isnt board of negates

      • N on May 19, 2024 12:36 am

Even with Contact Fusion, Rush is still lacking many features that are only present in Master Duel:
        Cards with GY effects
Monsters with hand effects (aside from name changes or built in Tribute/Special Summons)
        Archetypes
        Banishing/banishment
Summoning Mechanics – Ritual, Synchro, Xyz, Pendulum, Link
Monster Abilities – Flip, Toon, Spirit, Union, Gemini
        Effects – Trigger and Quick
Spells – Ritual, Continuous, and Quick-Play
        Traps – Counter, Continuous
Contact Fusion is just the on field version of Sevens Wonder Fusion but built into the Fusion monster itself.

      • Mixnmatch on May 19, 2024 6:15 am

Are contact fusions so complex? It’s just fusion without fusion card but you shuffle materials back into your deck.
And tbh every game must introduce new elements over time to stay relevant. It’s just how it works.

      • khmos on May 19, 2024 7:54 am

For the trigger part, there’s “Elemental HERO Flame Wingman”. It being part of a Continuous Effect, though.

i’m worried about that too… it’s even a major plot point in the anime, how Rush duels will get more complex and eventually get too much for children to play, like Master duels are :'(
at least they’re aware of it so maybe they’ll figure it out, trying to stay optimist.

a card game has to keep things fresh, but just adding more and more stuff on top will end up making the whole thing unstable.
Yu-gi-oh is a children’s card game and in my opinion should not reach a point where it’s too complicated for children to understand !

      • Bruno Santo on May 19, 2024 4:34 pm

I don’t know what’s so complicated about expanding Fusion Summon when I think we already had things similar to Contact Fusion previously: Rush’s Gaia and Rush’s Magnet Warrior.

Not to mention that Rush Duels does not have Chains, Flips, Triggers, Continuous Spell/Trap Cards, etc (many OCG/TCG cards had to be adapted due to the lack of these elements in Rush Duels)

The only “new” thing here is that they are refining Fusion Summon.

      • Hex on May 22, 2024 1:49 am

That is how konami make their game; just pust it to it’s limited until everyone sicks of it !!

    4. Jonathon on May 19, 2024 12:07 am

This probably means Contact Fusion Neos monsters are coming. Now the Go Rush character are in space, will there be an actual Neo Space (location, not the card) and will there be a duelist who uses Neos?

      • Unodostres on May 19, 2024 12:24 am

Rush duels will make neos finally viable

      • N on May 19, 2024 12:48 am

I doubt it. We never got Duelists in GO RUSH that used Cyber Dragon, Gaia, or Magnet Warriors. They’re likely going to stay game only.

      • The one on May 19, 2024 7:53 am

Rush duels could make red-eyes viable, so neos is no challenge

      • The⭐Gley on May 30, 2024 2:22 pm

Seria incrivelmente divertido de se ver (e é por isso que não teremos)

    5. FudouYusei on May 19, 2024 12:42 am

Neos Fusions are viable, but some cards have to be reworked, e.g. Grand Mole and Dark Phanter.

    7. Aussie Riolu on May 19, 2024 6:35 am

Would be absolutely hilarious if they actually bring over Elemental HERO Air Neos while the OCG/TCG hasn’t seen the guy in 17 years. And the thing is, its effect already kinda exists on another monster: Supreme Machine Magnum Overlord [L].

    8. Jay on May 19, 2024 6:51 am

SMH, we’re going to get Contact Fusion in Rush Duel and yet not Ritual summoning. 🙁

    9. ChaosMax1268 on May 19, 2024 8:35 am

Rush Duels giving us another mechanic from Master Duels instead of making something original…

      • Guu on May 19, 2024 8:44 am

        Boo hoo

      • Trunks Strife on May 19, 2024 11:11 am

From MASTER DUELS? That’s an original statement

    10. Bruno Santo on May 19, 2024 2:06 pm

It’s funny some comments say that “Contact Fusion” is complicated when, in reality, it is much simpler than performing a Maximum Summon.

In fact, we already had cards that did a kind of “Contact Fusion” with those Monsters that allowed Fusion Summon without a Spell Card.

I’m still waiting for my Fusion Maximum Monster, though.

      • N on May 19, 2024 3:52 pm

Curious that Rush is treating Contact Fusion as a summoning condition built into the Fusion Monster itself, rather than as the effect of a specific Effect Monster or Spell Card that shuffles monsters on field back into the Deck as material.
Veteran Gaia, Veteran Curse of Dragon, Sevens Wonder Fusion, Dragon Tribe Fusion, and Wave Fusion technically shuffle materials from the field and/or GY into Deck, but none of these are considered Contact Fusions.
Cards that Fusion Summon without a Spell Card, such as the Eternal Magnet Warriors and Change Slime, are also not Contact Fusions.
And Contact Fusion in the anime is listed as specifically needing to return the Fusion materials from the field back into the Deck, and nowhere else. So even Fusions that would be listed as Contact Fusions such as Meizen the Battle Ninja or the V-Z monsters, are technically not Contact Fusions in Rush.
