Poltergeists meet Cyberspace and Traps! Don’t forget the Traps!

Strategic Summary:
Today’s CDP features an updated take on the Altergeist archetype, a group of Spellcaster monsters that love to control the duel while making powerful Link Monsters. If you missed my first round with this theme, be sure to check it out linked here.
Today’s build is all about highlighting the new support cards revealed last week for the Altergeist archetype, and let me lay it down up front – they are all AWESOME. First up, let’s talk about Altergeist Perinetrator (YGOrg Translation), a new FIRE Level 1 Altergeist that mirrors one of the strongest starts of the theme, Altergeist Meluseek. Perinatrator can attack directly, and when it successfully inflicts battle damage by doing so, it lets you draw a card. Additionally, when it is sent from the field to the GY, it lets you send any Altergeist card from your hand, deck or field to the GY. While many Altergiest Traps include a GY effect, none is more powerful than the new Altergeist Revitalization (YGOrg Translation), a Trap Card that can banish itself from the GY to immediately allow you to Normal Summon an Altergeist from the hand. This opens up your potential combos, especially once you factor in the other new Main Deck monster, Altergeist Malwisp (YGOrg Translation). Malwisp is a Level 3 LIGHT Tuner, and it gets to Special Summon itself from your hand whenever it is added there, except by drawing. Additionally, when summoned, Malwisp Special Summons another Altergeist monster from your GY. Lastly, with a new Tuner in the deck that advances your gamestate, this finally opens Altergeist up to using their own Synchro Monster, Altergeist Dragvirion, which had historically been seen as unusable for the theme!
Now I’d be remiss in covering these new cards without talking about the theme’s new boss, a LINK-4 monster named Altergeist Adminia (YGOrg Translation). When Link Summoned, Adminia sets any Altergeist Trap from your deck, but it also carries a disruptive Quick Effect to gain control of an opponent’s Effect Monster. Combine that with all the disruption this theme already has up its sleeve, from Altergeist Hexstia to disrupt Spells and Traps to Altergeist Silquitous to bounce monsters back to hand, and you have an extremely potent threat, able to shut down opponent’s hopes and dreams with ease. Just check out the replays featured in this profile if you don’t believe me – some of those duels display the opponent fighting tooth and nail to get through a standard board, only to be repeatedly told no. Give your opponent endless ghastly 404-Errors with the help of the Altergeist!
