セレブレス・デスワイズ Celebrace Death Wise (Celeb Bracelet – Death Wise)
Equip Spell Card
[UNKNOWN]
Note:
The card’s text shown in the episode is verbatim that of “Celeb Blade – Death Wild”. The effects Yuna cites and are shown are a piercing effect granted to “Celeb Rose Fabulous Magician” and a 4000 ATK and DEF drain to Machine, Pyro and Thunder monsters on the field.
Expect this to be corrected down the line.

Actually, even Yugipedia has the Requirement and Effect of “Celeb Bracelet – Death Wise” wrong. Actually, the Requirement and Effect of that Equip Spell in the Duel is as follows:
“Equip it to a face-up LIGHT Attribute Spellcaster Type monster on your field to allow it to inflict piercing battle damage, and decrease the ATK and DEF of face-up Machine/Pyro/Thunder Type monsters on Opponent’s field by the total number of face-up Equip Spell Cards on your field and in your Graveyard x 1000 while it is face-up”
The confusion could come from the fact that several Celeb Rose Equip Spells have similar pronunciations and spellings.
– Celeb Blade – Death Wild
– Celeb Brace – Death Wise
– Celeb Robe – Death Wind
Ironically, none of them are treated like “Charis Magic Scepter – Death Wand” in the GY when many Celeb Rose cards work around “Charis Magic Scepter – Death Wand”.
Hm, the corrected text of Death Wise is making me less excited for Celeb Rose. I was curious how they’d market a Sevens Road analogue focused on equips, but if it requires anime knowledge of what your opponent is playing to properly debuff then I can’t see it taking off. Oh well.
Now let me take a big sip of water and read what their trap effects are.
Erathia, this is the only Equip the Deck has been shown in show to have a hyper specific effect like this. The other three Yuna has run are all generic utility cards for the Deck.
Oh, make no mistake Erathia. This is one of the many Anime’s Equip Spells that Celeb Rose has. I’m just saying that, when these Equip Spells are printed for the actual format, they can have the name “Charis Magic Scepter – Death Wand” in the GY for more synergy between Celeb Rose’s cards.
In fact, Celeb Rose in the actual format has a better coherence and strategy than Sevens Road or what I was trying to archive: I’m still trying to understand how to use Road Magic’s Spell Cards or have a synergy between all Sevens Road’s Monsters in a Deck. The only thing holding the Deck together (and currently being Meta) is Sevens Wonder Fusion: a Fusion Spell Card ahead of its time.
Still, Celeb Rose has potential to improve as a Deck.
– More consistency for the Deck is welcome, especially to speed up plays. Some Celeb Rose’s Monsters and LIGHT Spellcaster Monsters allow you to easily prepare the GY to complete your Fusion Monsters and your plays.
– More Equip Spells for the Deck, especially we are talking about a Deck that depends a lot on Equip Spells. This can be fixed by printing the Anime’s Equip Spells that the Deck has.
– More easy ways to bring your Fusion Monsters. Anime’s Equip Spells somehow gives it a plus to be versatile with Fusion Summon since you can use any LIGHT Spellcaster as a Fusion Material if you equip it with an Equip Spell.
– More Trap Cards for LIGHT Spellcaster, or Spellcasters in general. Spellcaster doesn’t have many good Trap Cards to defend itself and Celeb Rose is no exception: in fact, it only has one somewhat mediocre printed Trap Card related to the Deck.
As for the other cards:
– “Tamar Bond” seems to hint that a “Tamarbot Boost Dragon” exists: either for the Anime or it will be an exclusive card when the Tamabot-centric support goes to print. Either way, it’s funny that Tamabot received its own Fusion Spell Card and poor Jointech Rex still doesn’t have a Fusion Monster of its own.
– All the cards that Yuna uses in this Episode are direct references to the cards that Yuga uses (especially in SEVENS)
– If you thought Dark Revelation was OP, prepare for Dark Revelation 2.0 Deluxe A.K.A “Celeb Revelation”, basically, a (powerful) Trap Card for Celeb Rose that is much stronger than Dark Revelation since you have the possibility to brick your Opponent with their own Monsters.
Some of these are a chore to figure out.
The easy ones first.
Shining Shamaness – Shining Shaman
Braid Blade Reader – Poet Fairy
Celeb Rose monsters – Sevens Road counterparts
Elegant Aurum Avian – Mystic Dealer
Celeb Charity – Graceful Charity
Celeb Revelation – Dark Revelation
Then the ones harder to figure out as they aren’t as direct.
Celeb Blade – Death Wild – Magical Lance – Grace Spear
Celeb Robe – Death Wind – Road Arms – Sevens Lance
Charis Magic Spear – Death Wand – Road Arms – Sevens Lance (with some elements of Magical Lance – Grace Spear)
Can You Celeb Blade – Sevens Road Protection
Celeb Brace – Death Wise is the hardest to figure out. It seems to be a combination of Grace Spear (piercing) and Sword Breaker (gain/lose 1000 ATK x # of your Equip Spells somewhere), but the Type specific power reduction is entirely new.
In other duels you also have
Closed Return – Magical Return
Rose Chain Salvage – Mismatched Rivalry?
Scattered Rose Runway – Road Magic – Tempest?
Charis Magic – Elegant Change – Straynge Gathering? (Yuhi used this but Yuga is implied to also have this in his Cat deck)
